I think that's BS You sir, have little or no knowledge of the Christian faith. Right. Incest is a sin, yet we're all related according to the Bible. So you can't have intercourse apparently. We're born into origanol sin, thus we need to be baptised or whatever. Pretty sure that covers it. How are we all related? Can you show me the passage? The stroy of Adam and Eve being the first 2 people on Earth, and there was some other crud about their kids and whatnot, technically if that were true we'd all be related? Baptism signifies cleansing of that origanol sin. I never said I was some religious expert, but I know some stuff, I've never gone to church or anything either.. Romeoteddybear Posted July 5, 2004 Share Posted July 5, 2004 well im a christian who is grounded in his faith.....im not gonna debate (argue) why i am becuase nobody accepts what christians say....they just argue back....it really does make me sad though...to see all the ppl who are lost...just to think about what would happen if they died tonight...spend an eternity in hell....but thats them....im goin to heaven yeayea...woohoo :D just warnin everybody but the end times draw nearer everyday.....hope your ready for the reality that will face you when it comes....for some it will be a day of joy and celebration...others will be throw into a world full of complete and utter chaos...the lord says if you ask you shall recieve seek and it will be found knock and he shall answer......accept him into your heart and you will spend eternity in paradise with him.....be ready..... You forgot one hole in the Christian religon. If your god is all forgiving you can just get forgiven right before you die and that takes care of that problem. :P (This may be another division of the religion) Another problem, look at all the other civilizations before Jesus was even born. I doubt they all went to hell. Lastly, if you ever looked anything up in the Christian religion and it's history...you may found out that the Christian religion may be very different today if different roads were taken. If you trace your ancestors back to the times of the romans, you get over 1 trillion people who helped make you. seeing as we have bearly touched that number even recently, its safe to say that you may be my 53rd cousin trice removed. I'm back for two days and so far I've really seen nothing much develop except this overwhelming statement from posters:Christianity Sucks And I've also realized that some people have never heard the whole story of Christianity except that "Jesus came to Earth who was sent by the Father (God), died for mankind's sins in order for man to have access to the Father and Heaven if you accept the forgiveness he has offered you". That is Christianity in the smallest nut-shell you can ever find. And seeing these posts I know that those few sentences leave to many questions concerning the character/ethics of God, Creation, why Christians were different back in the Historical time period (i.e.-Roman Empire, Constantine's Rule, Crusades,Catholic Perseuction of Protestants), and of course the more broad question: Is God Real? Therefore, I am going to make a post in two weeks about Christianity and what it is. I'm posting it in two weeks because i'm going to be out of town in Colorado for 10 days and I have to get ready for it. So later everyone and throw out some more questionns about Christianity. Because this topic has "evolved" into a post arguing that the God of the Bible is nothing but a child's bed-time story like Santa Clause. Peace. This is mostly turning out to be a flame war, but ok. Im an atheist. I belive there is no god, becase there is no scientific proof. Sure there is the bible, and all that otherstuff, but just hear me out. How exatly is the bible sappoused to prove it. Was i really writen by god? Or one of the Religions followers? it could of been some person a very long time ago, that was crazy, or board, or something, and wrote the bible. And some one found it, and belived it. Oh and to let everyone know, ther was a person called Jessuse. I belive in Eveloution, i belive in the big bang, i belive in the chaos theroy. Kedai Posted July 6, 2004 Share Posted July 6, 2004 heres to clear up a few things: 1) you do NOT have to be baptised to go to heaven, when jesus was on the cross one thief on a nother cross beside him, who was never baptised, went to heaven because his sins were forgiven, the other thief on the other side went to Hell 2) before Jesus was born, people had their sins forgiven by sacraficing animals and what-not to God 3)Baptism signifies you are ready to accept Jesus as your saviour and open your heart to Him, and yes, cleansing of sins 4) you can blame us having sins from the serpant, who deceived, of course, the woman, into eating the forbidden fruit. this is when men was smart enough but still did whatever the woman wants to do. because the serpant is evil, God got rid of his legs because he was lowe than dirt, resulting in todays snake. 5) how can you really believe all these big bang theorys and evolution? big bang theory suggests that the universe is expanding, that the universe was so tiny, but because of the "bang" is expanding. thats a load of bull sh*t. creation is much easier to believe 6) where did God our Lord come from? he is neither in space or time. he is the Alpha and Omega, which means the beginning and the end. 7) we are all related because we all come from God, we are all children of God. and you have adam and eve, they have kids, and like eve, God makes women for these kids, and that goes on for a long time. look in the page of the bible where it says: he begat him, who begat this guy, it says that for like a page. where would all these women come from? God makes them for us. 8 ) explain this rib thing. God made woman out of a rib from man. look at all of our ribs, we have 1 more on one side that we do on the other side. explain that? 9) where did the devil come from? there was an angel in heaven, called Lucifer, before beginning of time, and he thought he was better than God. Lucifer had some followers, so God basicly ulled a lever and a hole opened up in Heaven and they fell into their new home, Hell. now, Lucifer became the leader of Hell, also known as Damian, Satan, The devil, Lucifer, ect. now all these angels that followed him became demons, his little henchmen 10) Do you go to Hell if you kill yourself?
