Militaris
Although the xbox 360 graphics are better then the wii they are not exactly good, The best resoultion the 360 can give is 1280 by 720 at 60 frames per second, it can supprot 1080i but because the image has to be interlaced 720p looks better anyway. If you are interested you can read up on it here Also a 720p capable TV costs a couple of thousand dollars.... not exactly cheap. A $300 graphics card in a computer would be better graphics wise then the xbox360. I would personally not buy a Xbox360 because it is to similar to a computer, and its one strength over the wii is a weakness compared with any decent computer. I would consider the wii due to its unique control system. [/url]
unknownmasterofnothing
If you have a hdtv, xbox360 graphics are slightly better. And online play is better. But if you haven't played with the nintendo Wii before, its simply amazing and fun. A lot better then playing with buttons. Zelda is one of the best games. Future games that are good include super smash bros! If you've ever played smash bros, then its going to be amazing with online. Comparing Xbox arcade to Nintendo's Virtual Console. Nintendo has the upper hand. There are so many good games for the nes, snes, n64, genesis. I particularly am looking forward to future addabilty to old games. Xbox arcade games are kinda fun but I wouldn't buy them. A modern Asteroids game is kinda fun on it. Really it shouldn't be a comparison. In my opinion, f you already have a ps2 or playstation, then there would little point in buying an enhanced graphics version of a system. Wii is simply a different experience that gamers have waited a while for. Wiis are currently shipping about 200k per 2 weeks I hear.
LGBR
It kind of depends on what you prefer, if you prefer FPS, good graphics and a very trusted name in these kind of things then go with an Xbox If you are more focused on sports, old school games or dont usually like video games then go with a Wii, everyone I know who doesnt like video games liked the Wii because it brings back the fun in video games. I am skeptical about it because of the lack of games that appeal to me, I am not a fan of games being constantly remade so I wouldnt get Zelda and I wouldnt want to play an FPS with the remote so that rules out CoD, all that leaves is SSB. SSB is by far my favorite N64 game along with Perfect Dark, I just remember HOURS in my friends basement playing it. I may get a Wii if they go down to $100-150 because when I have played it I have had a great time but I dont want to spend a lot of money on it because I get bored pretty easily The world would be a whole lot better if little green men in UFO's came down to earth to abduct rednecks. pizzalord1
I'd say to you to get a Wii, and wait for the 360 price drop. Theres going to be a brillaint selection of new games for the Wii over the coming months, such as , and Super smash bros. brawl (Why has nobody mentioned this yet!?). Then theres going to be British designed game Batallion wars 2 with online multiplayer next year, Super mario galaxy, metroid prime 3... I could keep reeling them off, but it would take me a while. Then if you get a 360, you'll have the best of both worlds, though you may want to wait for Halo 3. Burnout is pretty good though.
masterdez
Wii doesnt have good games, are you having a laugh? It has some awesome games coming out on release, and to be released... cadburys_egg
Wii doesnt have good games, are you having a laugh? Name 5 good games for the Wii. I'll give you 1; SSBB. That's the ONLY reason i'd get a Wii. Same goes for 360 with Dead Rising. Just wondering, if the concept is good, and the game-play is good what is wrong with constantly remaking games. I'm all for remaking games, as long as they provide some new things. With Zelda it's always the same basic storyline; save the world and kill the bad guy. You can be lazy or move around a lot, I have worked up a sweat playing Wii sports from moving around so much. If I wanted to work up a sweat from gaming i'd play with my EyeToy. For me; screw Wii, screw 360 - I be getting PS3. Any flaming directed at this post will be disregarded, this is all MY opinion.
Tigra00
Depends what you want. The Wii has like two good games out, and so far I'm not aware of anything note-worthy on the horizon.. The 360 has a lot of great games, and more coming. I'd buy a Wii just to play Zelda, but I'm going for the 360 because they have all the awesome games. Even PS3 doesn't have their selection. Zibl
Well for me it would have to be a Wii. Why? Here are some good reasons (IMO): #1 - I have always been a Nintendo fan. I don't know why. It almost makes me wanna jump for joy remembering the old games I used to play on my NES back when I was quite young. Contra, Ghost Busters, Zelda, ect. Granted I was very young (about 5 to 7 years old if I remember correctly) I still loved my NES even though I wasn't old enough to be "awesome" at any of the games. I always liked the Nintendo series because of the fun and imaginary games they came out with. Especially on the SNES (Crono Trigger, Mario RPG, Zelda III, Super Metroid, Secret of Mana, Super Punchout... just to name a few). #2 - In relation to #1, I want the Wii because I also want to continue to play the titles that I grew up with. By this, I'm talking about the games they are continuing to make. Zelda (my favorite game/series in the entire world), Metroid, Super Smash Brothers, (most likely) a Mario Kart, Sonic, and games of that sort that have been with Nintendo since it's early days. #3 - Xbox, honestly, doesnt interest me that much . Excluding the Halo games and some random medioker (spelling?) games and it's online capabilities it isn't really all that great to me. #4 - The Wii is something new. Nintendo has always amazed me at what they do. They are the very pioneers of the gaming world. And that excites me! Macmaster92
For one the xbox360 was to fast in releasing the system so ofcourse they are going to have more games at the momment. And also dont cont on it playing xbox games it freezes alot so dont even count on it. I have also noticed that 80% of the games for xbox are on the wii also. And you just got to have that super smash bros brawl \
trapical
Just one more question...is it multiplayer? Ha, you're funny :P No seriously, the Wii is the very definition of multiplayer. You get so into it when you play with friends. And if you own the system you're house automatically becomes a hot spot for parties :D

Zelda is the only GOOD reason to buy it. On the horizon, the 360 also has all the good games comin' out. I have yet to see anything that was not going to be on the 360 that made me say "Oooo, maybe I should get a Wii/PS3!". There is no need. Everything that matters comes out on the 360. They were the first ones out of the gate, so they got a lot of the game franchises to come on to them. My opinion is unbiased, of course. I have neither of the 3 consoles, and I buy my consoles based soley on the games that are available. So far, the 360 is winning with no contest. Would I pay $250 to play Zelda? No. It's a great game, I hear, but no. I'd wait to see if game developers are actually going to support the Wii. The didn't support the Gamecube for crap. They've said they wanted to work witht he controller and stuff, but so far noone has said they're making any cool games for it. PS3 is nice if you want to play 360 games (almost exclusively) and try to convince yourself that the extra $200 price tag is because it has better graphics, and not because it has a $1000 Blue-Ray player in it, lol. caligula101
I'd have to say 360 because it has some really cool games coming out and already out. The wii is good but you'd probably get bored of it pretty quickly. Then again i'm a fan of modern gaming, I don't like to keep reverting back to games Nintendo keep redoing like Zelda and Mario, it all gets a bit to repetitive. Most things on all consoles are rehased from version to version. Few new levels, slightly adjusted AI, new textures. Bam, new game -.-
