Adam007
Ok so im thinking of asking for the wii for christmas but i'm not really sure about it for these reasons... 1.I have never really been a fan of nintendo because of some of the games they release are a bit...'childish' if you know what im saying. 2.I like the idea of a motion sensored remote but i dont think im really up for the fact of actualy getten into the game...If im gonna play a video game i wanna sit back and relax. If anyone has the wii or knows any cool game releases coming out soon let me know. I already know about the zelda game and call of duty 3...im interested in those but are they any more kool games coming out? Someone convince me to get the wii 1. If you're unwilling to try out games, why do you even play them? I know that sounds stupid, but if all you want is a shoot em up filled with 90% movies, just watch a war movie. If you were just willing to try out a mario game or zelda game, you'd realize that 'kiddiness' is synonymous with fun. It's male teenage society that's been telling you that a game has to have violence or be sports to be worth playing. 2. If you don't want to get into the game, you don't have to. Either playing style works. I find it more fun to play the sports games like you do in real life, but if you prefer to sit back and be lazy about it, you can just use your wrist. As for other games - there are already a ton out. I'm not going to do your research. Just go to a ign or gamefaqs or somewhere and look them up. I'm not going to start listing them because I have no idea what game genre you like. I'd assume that you like shooting games, in which case I'd recommend Red Steel or CoD3 like you mentioned. There are plenty of great games outside of that area you can try out, but you probably won't. Either way, I'd recommend the Wii for you. It has something for everyone. Arch_Tyrant
Ok thats kind of the responce i was looken for Thanx :D Just a few more questions real quick though... I think the motion sensor stuff is really cool and all but is there also another way to play with like a classic controlor or something? The classic controller is used for virtual console titles that you can download. You can also use the gamecube controller for gamecube games or VC games. Most wii games use some type of motion control.

Adam007
Ok so im thinking of asking for the wii for christmas but i'm not really sure about it...And if someone has the wii could they possibly help me out on some things... 1. What are some cool games that are coming out with it? Im already thinken about getten something like The Zelda:twilight princess or even call of duty 3 cause they look really tight but is there any other cool games out or planning on coming out? 2. Hows the wii work? Good graphics? Motion sensor work properly? Is it online? Multiplayer? Fill me in... Thanx 1. Here are past and present games for the Wii: http://wii.ign.com/index/games.html 2. Explaining how the wii works will take too much time for me. The graphics are alright. They're better than anything you'll see on xbox or ps2 or gamecube, but not as good as the xbox360's or ps3's, obviously. The motion sensor works great. There's an initial learning curve, but 95% of people who try it get over it. It is online, and over 2007 there will be plenty of online games that are going to be coming out. I really suggest you just do some research, as most of your questions are easily answerable.
Arch_Tyrant
K thanxs adam you've been alot of help :D Just one more question...is it multiplayer? And what do you mean by..."There's an initial learning curve"?
Adam007
K thanxs adam you've been alot of help :D Just one more question...is it multiplayer? And what do you mean by..."There's an initial learning curve"? You don't need to keep changing your initial topic thread. It just makes the replies look confusing. It is multiplayer - you can have up to four players, and there will be online play like I said in 07. When I say there's an initial learning curve, I mean you're not going to be sure how to maneuver everything for a few moments. In my case it took about 10 seconds to get the hang of it. For some people it takes a few minutes to figure out that when you're pointing at least, movement is more important in the wrist than your arm, and the remote has to be aimed somewhat near the sensor bar. But when you're playing the sports game themselves, those don't apply. Only for pointing and selecting.
weezcake
I personally prefer the Wii over the 360. The 360 has nothing but good graphics and xbox live, IMO. Its games are weak. I'd much rather have a wii because it brings fun back into video games :) ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring. deloriagod
I have a 360 (well, it's my brothers but you know..) and I don't really want a Wii. I think it would be great for when you have friends over and such. I like getting into a game but not to the level the Wii takes it to. I'll stick with the 360. The Wii might be a little too extreme for me. Internet Marketing For Newbies

Adam007
Im still not convinced... Then spend more for the 360 and miss out. You shouldn't need to be convinced one way or the other to buy a system. Decide for yourself. Try both out. That's the only way you'll really know. supermonk
Wii, trust me. The graphics aren't as good as the Xbox, but that's not all that matters. You can be lazy or move around a lot, I have worked up a sweat playing Wii sports from moving around so much. Even if you are lazy and don't get into it, the games are much better than the ones on the Xbox. Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992. Ultralord
speaking out of experience with both the wii and the 360 (my neighbour has both and i spend quite some time over at his house  ) i would have to say that the wii is better. i'm not overly interested in playing video games, but i must say that playing on the wii was the most fun i've ever had playing video games. for example, in wii sports, you feel like your actually playing the sports because you do the same movements as what you'd do if you were actually playing the sport (in a lazy way :P). and someone said before that you get a workout from it, this is very true. i played tennis with my friend and i was sweating like a dog after a few rounds with him. and no, my fitness level isnt of a couch potato's, so it's not like i was sweating because of lack of exercise. all in all, i dare say, wii pwnz 360 : http://www.keepingongaming.com/boards -- Sign Up
rocketman089
Having played both id go with 360 for me. Great games, traditional controller, and LIVE sold it for me :) Gamertag: King Arizona
incognito
I do not understand why graphics are such big deals to people. People that say graphics matter are the same people that played nintendo 64/ps1 and thought the graphics were increadible. People get too greedy when it comes to games. I'd go for the wii just because it has something to offer besides graphics (besides the graphics aren't bad, they just aren't the best.)
Faux
Honestly, I'd say both has their pros and cons. But I think the deciding point is whether you LOVE shooting games or not. Because that's pretty much what the X360 is, and it does a pretty darn good job of it. I just want to include this in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnxEnoosh4Q :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Of course, traditional controllers have no chance of matching the accuracy you can have with keyboard and mouse. But some people prefer the comfort of the couch + ease of use (plug and play), easy transport, and ability to play with friends in the room. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
