I got one in the back of the shop for me, together with Zelda, remote + Wii play and a nun-chuck. jjrox32 Posted December 20, 2006 Share Posted December 20, 2006 This is what it comes down to: The wii is more fun. Don't deny it, this is the freshest gaming experience since dual analog sticks. The 360 has better graphics. Period. The wii won't be able to go past it's graphical limitations. I own both, and I pick the wii. The only reason that the 360 has better games is because it's been out for more than a year. The Wii's been out for 1 month. And for everyone that thinks you'll faint from the amount of motion involved with the wii, you won't. Nintendo could have easily just gone and made a ridiculously(sp?) overpriced system with powerful graphics, but they chose innovation. If all the companies just kept on making new systems with olnly a graphical update each time, then we'd hit a point where the graphics couldn't get better, and those companies would be forced to make something new or die off. Halo was being created even before the Xbox by Bungie. It was originally supposed to be mac/pc exclusive, then MS bought them. That wasn't actually expected to be an Xbox game. crimsonking Posted December 20, 2006 Share Posted December 20, 2006 I'd personally choose the Wii just because its something different, Xbox 360 as well as the PS3 haven't really done anything new, just going from the same angle as they always have, Nintendo on the other hand seems to be experimenting with new ways to play and I think they have something good going here, I mean the DS was a success because it was something new and now they have these motion sensor controllers which seem like a lot of fun, and even if you don't like the new controllers they have some that are designed like the older ones so its really got something for everyone. The majority of Xbox's popularity was with Halo and thats pretty much the main reason anyone got them, now they have a new game, Gears of War which seems to be the same idea, they seem to base the Xbox360's fame on 1 or 2 games and the others arn't really going to be special because either they are going to be on all the other systems, or they are just going to be made like every other game of its type. Plus, I may be mistaken, but I heard the Xbox360 won't play regular Xbox games while the Wii can play Gamecube games as well as download games from the original Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Nintendo64. As I've said, if they just keep making new machines with graphics updates, eventually they won't have anything to update anymore, the graphics will become so lifelike. On topic though, you want a new way to play games with graphics that arent the best, but still quite adequte, get a Wii or if you want OMGWTFBBQ graphics and a bunch of games that seem to be the same and have been done time and time again, get a 360/PS3.
