warren211
Several things I must say about this issue. First up, we all know Nintendio's graphics are inferior to the 360 and PS3. HOWEVER, nintendo has sacrificed those graphics for the sake of good gameplay. Just think about it. Why do we play runescape? We all know runescape's graphics aren't exactly the best. But we still like the game, its fun and nonstop action and excitement. The same goes for the Wii. not the best graphics, but quite fun to play. The only problem for the Wii is the remote gobbles up batteries since it's wireless. So if you've got an emergency battery supply, you'll have to use it. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. warren211
Here's another thing about the 360. Alright, we all know Nintendo's games are intended for the general audience. In various commercials and previews, they show kids, adults, and elderly people playing. We know the 360 was focused mainly on mature audiences, hence all the M rated games. Butl, Microsoft saw how much success Nintendo was having with its general audiences. So, they went into that same area... Now let's take a look at Microsoft's hard work and tireless effort's results: Viva Pinata. *cough* lousy *cough* [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Faux
I'd have to say 360 because it has some really cool games coming out and already out. The wii is good but you'd probably get bored of it pretty quickly. Then again i'm a fan of modern gaming, I don't like to keep reverting back to games Nintendo keep redoing like Zelda and Mario, it all gets a bit to repetitive. Are you trying to say games on the X360 is innovative? They're awesome yeah, but even Gears of War is just another duck-and-shoot FPS game with boosted graphics. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Poopingman
I had alot of hope for the Wii until I realized the graphics were basically on par with PS2 and original XBOX, I lost all hope. The gimmick-ness of the handheld controller thingy isn't enough to save it. Doesn't it seem like Nintendo always tries to win us over with gimmicky little things lately, while the games always lack substance? Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King.... Angryburrito
Xbox 360 has 2 kinds of good games: Shooters, and Party games. Halo 3 (when it comes out, but of course it'll be good), Call of Duty 3 (which, might I add, looks better than the PS3 version, which I was a bit surprised about), Gears of War are some of the awesome shooters on 360. For party games, there's Viva Pinata, which is just fun to do whenever, and Fusion Frenzy, which is awesome with 3 other people playing. Other than that, there's not really anything else. Oblivion was amazing but you can get that for PS3/PC. It all depends on what you like more: blowing people's heads off or [insert action related to Wii here]. sorry bros i'm not mexican
Tigra00
I'd have to say 360 because it has some really cool games coming out and already out. Are you trying to say games on the X360 is innovative? They're awesome yeah, but even Gears of War is just another duck-and-shoot FPS game with boosted graphics. As far as I know of, Gears of War is actually pretty innovative. It's a fast-paced duck-n'-cover 3rd person shooter (or first person if you want, whatever) with uber graphics and gameplay. The story is kinda' short, though. The only other franchise I know of that has gameplay like it at all is Killzone, and I believe I've heard Rainbow Six Vegas has a lil' bit too. Gears of War is an extremely refreshing change from the rave-review games like Halo and Half-Life where you just run out in the open and blast away while being hit full-force. If you do that in GoW, you die within seconds. My only problem with the game was the Roadie Run, where you'd get caught on a wall sometimes while holding A. Not too big of a deal. It kinda' combines an FPS with a Stealth game. You're not trying to be sneaky per-say, but you're trying to hide to not get hit. And we all know - the best games ever made are the games that mix genre's. Like Spore coming out, which will RULE. :P The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me! dark_ice
For one the xbox360 was to fast in releasing the system so ofcourse they are going to have more games at the momment. And also dont cont on it playing xbox games it freezes alot so dont even count on it. I have also noticed that 80% of the games for xbox are on the wii also. And you just got to have that super smash bros brawl \ 80%, huh? The Wii has like 20 games out. I can count on one hand the ones that are even worth playing. Zelda is the only GOOD reason to buy it. On the horizon, the 360 also has all the good games comin' out. I have yet to see anything that was not going to be on the 360 that made me say "Oooo, maybe I should get a Wii/PS3!". There is no need. Everything that matters comes out on the 360. They were the first ones out of the gate, so they got a lot of the game franchises to come on to them. My opinion is unbiased, of course. I have neither of the 3 consoles, and I buy my consoles based soley on the games that are available. So far, the 360 is winning with no contest. Would I pay $250 to play Zelda? No. It's a great game, I hear, but no. I'd wait to see if game developers are actually going to support the Wii. The didn't support the Gamecube for crap. They've said they wanted to work witht he controller and stuff, but so far noone has said they're making any cool games for it. PS3 is nice if you want to play 360 games (almost exclusively) and try to convince yourself that the extra $200 price tag is because it has better graphics, and not because it has a $1000 Blue-Ray player in it, lol. Wii's 3rd party support was decent out of the gate, but the great sales got alot of people's attention. Both EA and Ubisoft have recently said that they were extremely pleased with how their software did and are both going to greatly increase their support for the console. EA is even making an entire separate studio just for Wii. Also, Zelda: TP, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Super Monkey Ball, Excite Truck, Madden NFL 07, and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam all recieved at least an 8/10 on reviews from many sites I've read the reviews on. That' 6 right there, enough to need TWO hands to count =) Of course these aren't the only good games, just the top 6 IMO, enough to get the point through. You also have many great quality games released on virtual console every monday. With the amount of games being developed plus the VC games guaranteed every Monday theres always something to look forward too on the Wii. I have an Xbox 360 and I got a Wii and a copy of Twilight Princess on release day approximately 2 weeks ago. I have not even layed a finger on my 360 since then. The Wii is so incredibly fun! It may not have the graphics that the 360 and PS3 have but with gameplay and sheer fun factor that the Wii has far outweigh graphics. And to be honest the graphics of TP are just as good as many games I see on 360! Wii is awesome. If you don't have one your missing out
Faux
Wii just came out. Wait til the developers get used to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FftLxuYzRA&eurl= <- just an example. The best console for this season is the PS2 though. Amazing game collection at low prices. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

indy500fan
Hmm i think i might get a wii From what I have heard over the 'tubes it sounds like December 17th is the day. None of the stores around here were selling today, but they were all holding (heh, sounds like drugs). I woke up at 6:00AM this morning, only to find out there was no reason to. I better be able to get a Wii this next Sunday, or I'll go from extremely pissed off to being crazily pissed off.
Kinslayer777
'm sort of crushed between the Wii and 360. On one hand I WANT princess and the Neat'O controller, but am afriad besides Twilight there are few games i'd enjoy. I DESPISE video-sports games Laughing, although the Wii-Sports sound vaguely more interesting. One plus is that I recently got a strong computer the the 360 is rather defunctiveish since PC games have plenty of shooters...
trapical
Just one more question...is it multiplayer? Ha, you're funny :P No seriously, the Wii is the very definition of multiplayer. You get so into it when you play with friends. And if you own the system you're house automatically becomes a hot spot for parties :D the future is online multiplayer, multiplayer on a single unit is becoming obsolete. Partly because MS is trying to phase it out so more people need to pay for Live if they want to play. I for one despise this trend. I don't care about having to paying for Live. But I try not to be that kind of gamer that sits in a basement, alone, with a headset playing online. I love games that you play with others around you, people you know and interact with in real life. Observe: or
indy500fan
Heh, good comparison. I could play games over the internet all the time with my computer, but I chose not to. I don't feel like playing with a lot of people I don't know, and who are generally a lot better than me. The only time I play multi-player is with my friends, on one of their consoles that all of us can play at the same time. Even when I get the Wii, I probably wont play online all that often. Even if it is free.
unknownmasterofnothing
Well I don't have much room in my apartment for multiplayer, but I could and will bring it to other people's homes. But still having successful online play would be awesome. Also any game played with real friends in real life has so much potential to be awesome. Taking turns in burnout, trying to get a better score than the other is so fun. N64 games were awesome. Playing by myself, I rarely played games, but if there were more people, I immediately wanted to play the game.
D3M0NX
Played both and i know fo sho that the 360 is better. The 260 also lets you make the template fit your personality. I made my 360 have a yankee faceplate with a program i got where you can make free templates. supermonk
Of course the X box has better games, it's been out for like a year and the Wii hasn't even been out for a month. The Wii will have good games though, and the only popular game that is ONLY for X Box is Halo... Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992.
