Brad25891
who cares? 1 item can ruin the economy for everyone, for example if the phats were to suddenly become untradeable, all skilling items will be big on demand because they dont have to get that 'uber 1337 paper' then prices of materials will go up, prices of pots, armour ect will go down... and everything will crash.. Another example - After construction a lot of the prices of things went down because it was such a money drain so everyone wanted to seel stuff for money for it.. which caused most rares to drop, armour + whips to drop and logs + planks to skyrocket... No one cares that it doesn't affect you or your close personal friends. They're talking about the general effect of the items it has on the economy. Barihawk
The economy is run by 13 year olds. Inflation hits when their girlfriends dump them. Besides, in any normal economy an influx of new items is a good shot in the arm. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

Satenza
Everything will return to normal in a few weeks to a month. Jagex seem to be bringing big updates out around this time maybe to counter growth in rares. But with inflation i see nothing they can do. Items like the Dragon Chain will probably cost less, but not much less when things get back to normal. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Goldenjkered
It depends what the eventual prices of the new item will be. For instance I predict the new sweets will be worthless in a month, but at the moment people are trying to sell them for 100k each. The economy is completly crazy at the moment but it will always go back to normal, and prices of dragon items were always going to go down no matter what. Poopingman
I still stick to my morals and say Jagex should have stopped at rune armor /w dragon weapons. I guess as it all backfires on them and implodes, I'll be saying: "I told you so." Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
Peronix
No, they don't crash the economy The only thing they do is influence the prices of other tt items. Like robins and ranger boots, they will now be harder to obtain because of greater variety among the items. That's what happened to them after the first tt update. Leesters
The only change in prices I foresee is going to be on treasure trail items. Due to the larger variety of rewards, every reward is going to be much more rare. Should have bought my duplicate ranger set after I got the guthan spear before today. I'm sure ranger sets are pretty much doubled now. I'm not really good at merchant decisions. lol A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Myweponsg00d
This has nothing to do with the economy. All it is is the price fall of inferior equipment. Need assistance in any of these skills? So there are now two items with the 'best' bonus, so it should draw some of the demand from the ranger set.

I'm also glad I sold my Veracs too, because KQ hunting will become even less profitable if you ask me. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
