Jagex pressed for updates?

maybe its just me but it seems like Jagex thinks that they are under pressure from the community and i mean like huge pressure. Dont get me wrong, i like updates but man Jagex is pumping them out. They honestly need to take a breather imo. Its hard enough as it is to keep up with these rapid updates. I still havent even done the new quest but the new t trail stuff is big. Its not like its just a new weapon set either, its as jagex said over 100 new items. That is a LOT of new items to be added to the already inflated economy. The rapid updates seem to be taking rs down hill. I fully understand that the new items look and probably are totally awesome and cant w8 to have a new prayer set for barrowing (assuming they are better than monks robes). Some of these items are destorying previous t trail items as well. Who will honestly want to buy the blue wiz outfit (t or g) now that the new mage outfit is out. Again this is just my opinion and would like some feedback as to what the rest of the community thinks. Anyway its best to leave now before my dad discovers im on his new comp

Well, during the first few month of RS2 being out, Jagex would release a new area, and a new thing or quest almost every three days! It was pretty crazy, but if the updates are quality, don't knock it!

well, i think it's good, most players would get bored without it, and they've always been this way. Their staff is always at work, they get payed to do this, so it's their job, and they're defiently doing it. People bought the t and g mage robes because of looks, not because of stats, if they want stats they would've gotten regular robes...=\

Well, Its not like the updates are bad, and economy wise, this update lowered ALOT of things, such as rangers and dragon armors.

While I'll admit that the treasure trail items is a nifty update, it could have waited. I wouldn't have minded at all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also wouldn't mind Jagex taking a break for two or three weeks so they can churn out a killer quest or something really neat. I'm tired of half-strung updates. Eagle's Peak wasn't anything that incredibly great.

EDIT: Another thing was Hunting. Hunting took EVERYONE by surprise because it came out of nowhere. I'm not knocking the skill. It's not as terrible as farming, but I would've loved to have anticipated it for a month or so before it was released.

I agree with BoD. They should give us more time between the updates to adjust to them. I was still training hunter when the new TT items came out and now I feel like I have to join the rush in clue-farming so I can make some money during the first few days, and delaying my hunting training.

People will always find something wrong with a major update. This time it involves the price of dragon armor and such, and how much it will drop.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And to be honest, all updates cane wait, its up to jagex when to update, and since its up to them, people think there is a right and wrong time.

yet again let me make myself clear. i am not ragging on the update, the new items are probably really cool. im just aggrivated at the timing of the updates. they come on more frequently then ever. added to this fact i havent been on rs for over a week and cant go on till saturday neway which is even more frustrating :evil:

Well runescape is gona get too many things and get stuffy, i think they should make a lil bit better quailty updates every two weeks

You have to keep in mind, not everyone loves every update. I myself despise the new Hunter skill, so I did that for about...1 day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They need to pump out a large number of updates and a large variety of them aswell. This ensures more memberships and more people that continue to be members.

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you (that Jagex seems to be rushing the updates and should take a break), but Jagex really is under a lot of pressure. I don't know about you, but I read the Runescape Official Forums quite often and there are tons of complaints/suggestions reguarding updates. There are hundreds of weapon/skill suggestions, complaints about lack of updates/weapons/armour, discussions about which combat skill (melee, range, mage) needs an update or which is under/over powered. Jagex is very, very pressured to make constant updates and fix/change/add new things to the game.

I think the Runescape community as a whole just needs some time to catch up and take a breath :wink:

Missing out the 'more updates' part means less members and so forth so less money. So yeah, taking a breather is not an option

Completely agree Kind've sad that if Jagex took even just a couple of weeks break without any updates they'd have thousands of complaints, too many unappreciative players on this game :?
