n4h
Ok, I didn't have much success with the "paint-your-own-crest" idea, so I am going on another ride: MAGICAL SCEPTRES. The sceptres look like the elemental staves because they have the same properties of supplying infinite runes of one kind, but instead of air, fire, earth and water, they will be mind, chaos, death and blood. The three first need three new obelisks put somewhere, and the steps to craft them are these: Needed: 1 gold bar, 1 unpowered orb, 3 cosmic runes and 30 runes of the kind of sceptre (the steps are similar to the ones needed to craft staves) 1. Smith a sceptre handle using the gold bar 2. Locate obelisk 3. Cast charge orb spell in obelisk 4. Use orb with sceptre The blood sceptre will have to be a drop from a high-level monster, like chaos elemental or kalphite queen (if you could craft it, the game would be very easy \ ). Later you can enchant it for 40,000gp taking the sceptre to Thormac the Sorceror. Comments please! I'm back.

Dalcyte
No. those comments are really not helpful and just down-right spam. Post why...come on. Anyway, i disagree, making unlimited uses for a conductor rune (mind, chaos, death and blood) makes magic a lot more easy and unfair. But i like the general concept of the idea however with sceptres : Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
Brinner
holy crud no....that would make mage way to easy....i can 200+ air runes per run (run is about 3 minutes each) and then if i could cast death spells...wow

tomdavies90
this would have a 0.00001% chance of happening if the sceptres were really really hard too get and expensive Sig by me....
Toxicologist
Way too powerful. That would cut down a huge cost in casting spells, and magical spells are very powerful... so they are meant to be expensive. This would most likely overpower magic, and make the skill too easy to level. Unless, of course; all the sceptres are EXTREMELY rare monster drops. And I mean EXTREMELY rare. Even then, however; it would probably still be too powerful. Why do you resist? Hevendor_Guy
Sure! And afterwords we can bring back party hats! No support. People could just multi-craft elemental runes easily and just use battle rune scepters and mages would OFFICIALLY own the wild.... Sorry, just not the greatest idea. :| There's cake through here, apparently.
The Dark Lord
RuneScape would lose all balance... Magic would be far too powerful, so the warriors of melee and ranged would be at mercy of the now-all-mighty magi. Well, it's too easy. Blood runes are 500-600 each, so think about it: You buy a blood sceptre for 10m, giving you unlimited blood runes, then ice barrage will cost like less than half of what it currently costs. Though this isn't a half-bad idea, it is far too powerful to be used in this game. Forbidden weapons. lol Oh, and while you're at it, bring a spell from FFVII: Meteor. Yah, we could use this spell to bring a meteor from the cosmos and crash it into the surface of RuneScape.    Then we could have magical shields that make us permanently immune to melee/ranged attacks. Then we could cast infestation and bring the Necrovirus upon everyone. Then the virus could spread and wipe everyone out. Then you go to world 2, Falador once everyone is infected and take all the phats and stuff. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on. Brinner
no it would kill the runecrafting market not really it would make the runecrafting market better....everyone would want runes...nats and laws to lv up mage....all the elemental ones for fighting which you can make fast...only the combat ones would suffer

People would not NEED Nature runes or Law runes to level up Magic anymore, so they won't buy them so much. The elemental ones are poor money, it would make no difference if their prices rose. And ruling out the combat ones, the Runecrafting Market would be desolated. Why do you resist? a7xpure
The only way I can HONESTLY see this happening is if the following apply to the staves: An extremely hard quest leading to an extremely hard boss fight leading to a new area with an extremely hard monster that drops them at an extremely low rate (Extreme..no? :D) The staffs BREAK after so many hours of use (like barrows) and to repair them it costs more than 750k. they are UNTRADABLE (Pures would be at such a huge advantage) Requires 85 Magic and 70 attack and 65 strength I think I set the bar high enough :) http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/ ... edance.gif[/img]
jondea0
no, but before you say im mindless spam let me explain myself. i think the poster of this maybe wanted cwars or pest control cheap so they dont cost too much with not much reward. however i have a better idea in pestcontrol you have to pay 250 pc points to get the sceptre and it works only in cwars and pest control. maybe you could also buy it from cwars for maybe 50 tokens, arrows too maybe. BUT you dont get exp for it!! dont comment on it i didnt make it up honest!!! discuss a combat reformation
