look_its_rob
I was just curious, and i like reading them. One of my family's tradition is the turkey's "arse" award. It originated when my mom and uncles where little, my grandparents or great uncle or who ever cooked the turkey would cut off the "arse" of the turkey and give it to some one at the dinner for any reason they wanted to, for example a new girlfriend and then the person who got the award would have to give a speach. We have recently modified this a bit and now its a fake trophy that says the turkey's "arse" award on it. We give it away every chistmas eve. So post some of your x-mas traditions. Any you love? hate? want to get rid of? want to pass down to your kids? Look its rob!

zerosouls
Mom bakes a bunch of stuff, like cookies and a big Christmas dinner. I bring up the Christmas stuff like tree and my Mom puts it up pretty much. We always have eggnog. My Christmas weekends are always incredibly mind blowing boring. Thats what happens here anyway. Tigra00
We don't eat turkey or chicken or duck or nuttin' like that. ...We have home-made taco's. Woot. They're delicious. Just can't buy shells that good in the store. :P No, we're not Mexican either. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me! tripsis
Haha that's quite an original tradition. My family doesn't really have any. We used to have this one, horrible tradition though. On Christmas morning we were never allowed to open presents until about 10:00 am, when all of my half sisters/grandparents would come over (can you imagine being a 5-10 year old kid and not be allowed to touch your presents for 3 hours? :P). Then we'd all sit in a circle and open presents one at a time, everyone watching. Certainly one of the most nerve-wracking things ever :P As for now, it's usually different every year. In fact, many times around Christmas we go on vacation, which I hate. Vacationing over Christmas is never quite the same as having Christmas at home. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Nadril
The past few years its always ended up most of us going to the mall like 2 days before christmas eve. We'll spend like 4 hours there shopping for each other, going in "pairs" or whatever and than switching off.

deloriagod
Usually my family goes to see a movie on Christmas Eve then on Christmas morning we open gifts. My bro and I usually enjoy our gifts for the rest of the day while my parents watch movies/tv. This year we're changing it up a bit and my grandparents are coming to visit. Fadfdfd
My huge family does a Yankee Swap. Everybody brings a wrapped gift, puts it in the middle. We draw numbers to see who goes first, etc.. The first number picks, then so on, and if you want, you can trade for any of the other gifts (You know what they look like) and at the end, the person who picks 1 gets one final trade to get what they wanted. It's pretty fun and funny and the family has a good time with it. Kids get a little competitive sometimes though  . "Mommy, let's trade for the teddy bear frame." When her aunt, with another 5 year old, has the frame. And then there's a little crying because they lose the frame, and so on and so forth. I have only asked one of my parents to get something once . It was one of those fake fishes that you hang on the wall and it sings . I was like 7 and those things looked so amusing.
Futurama
We always have a ham and a turkey, like most people. Every xmas eve we go to a party up the road from us to tide us over til xmas day so we're not waiting about for it. Xmas day we open our presents and have the entire family round ( :| ) then just generally get wasted and eat ourselves stupid. We always make chocolate truffles too, I sorted that one out yesterday :) Other than that we don't really have anything else.

Wow that must of sucked quite a bit, my family never does that, I'm the only child in the house so I always used to wake up at like 6am - 7am and open gifts, it was great. My brothers wife does that one though, makes the kids wait till like 10am or something, they had to actually sleep in till then too. I always thought that must have been the worst.
