Drive safely now! I believe you know how crazy drivers are out in CA. :P I don't recommend driving down CA Highway 5 until you're more experienced, even though it's a big straight road. Speed limit is 75 there, but people go up to 100 sometimes. :|

(I hate that highway so much...)

Every once in a while I'll do a little road trip to California, and after a couple of days driving there I come home and see myself driving "California Style," which would be driving 10 over, winding in and out of lanes, etc.

Have fun driving, be safe, etc.

As long as everyone is driving the same speed isn't not so bad. In Chicago everyone does 80 on the 55 highway, but it's everyone(well, some people do 70-75) so it's not crazy.

Nice. I have had mine for about 3-4 months. After a while you will stop "jumping" at the chance to drive. Because your parents tell you what to do so much it's like their driving for you

Training my pure!

My drivers ed instructor liked to hit the brakes all the time and occasionally grab the wheel. I found it quite humorous :P

Really? I've had my license for about a year (permit for ~1 year before that) and I still love driving.

I failed my driving test the first because of a bike lane. Passed it on the second time with 5 errors (mostly incomplete stops, though I swear I stopped completely).

Just don't be nervous when driving and you'll be fine. :)

And congrats.

I got my permit in December. I was driving around town with my Grandfather cuz he was supposed to "teach" me.

My left tires were on the Double Yellow lines and he kept yelling at me to move left 'cuz I was too close to the curb. :? It's because people who are used to being in the Drivers seat, are used to being far from the edge of the road.

If they yell at ya to move left, tell them no, and that you're fine.

Heh, my dad used to do that to me all the time. Except we were on a two lane highway with almost no shoulder. The worse time was my frist time driving out there at night... With an 18 wheeler headed my way

After about 11 hours of practice, I'd say that I'm about level 25 driving. :P

"Congratulations, you have advanced a driving level. You can now do two-stage U-turns."

good job, good luck, god speed

remember: always wear your seat belt, don't hit little kids, and most importantly, if you think you see someone naked on the side walk, remember that thats probabley not true and dont do a doble take and crash.

Also: let me know when ur about to drive, I've had bad experience with new drivers!

I failed my theory first time, I got full marks for the questions, but was one point short on the hazard perception clips. However, I passed my practical first time (woohoo!!!). My instructor gave me a valuable piece of advice just before I took my test: Drive so that the examiner feels his children would be safe in your car.

I never liked having my permit because I had to drive with my dad and he liked to yell at me.. Now I've got my license and he still likes to ride with me and yell at me -.-

My Dad isn't even allowed in my car!!! ::'

Anyway, wishing you the very best of luck.
