January 13, 200719 yr We all know of the pc products, as they're called by some people. Things are made really easy now. Pc and guilded altars come to mind. I'm too poor to get a guilded altar, so I'm using an ectofuntus to get to level 52 prayer from 37. It's a pain in the arse compared to a guilded altar. Much slower, less xp, tedious walking. I was thinking, though, that Jagex should release more updates such as that. It takes work, but the rewards are great. It's not easy, but worthwhile. I personally think that Jagex should release more updates like that, instead of updates that are make skills easier with little effort. Agree? Disagree?
January 13, 200719 yr Yeah, but how much money and time does it take to even get the level for the Guilded Altar? Case in point: Jagex balanced it out by requiring you to spend lots of time and money before you can use the advantage. Even then you still need a constant supply of Marrentil (Herblore) and more money for your butler before you can abuse it to its full potential. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
January 13, 200719 yr I just feel bad for the people who got the skills before these updates. ps. thanks for making a topic that can actually get good responses, as opposed to the thousands of polls

January 13, 200719 yr Yeah, I mean it isn't like Jagex is gonna make a quest as easy as "Cook's Assistant" and then say "As a reward for completing this quest, you get access to a special Altar that gives x10 Prayer xp, with a bank 5 squares away." They're gonna make it where you have to work hard to get the advantage. Once you have it, you can abuse it as much as you want. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
January 13, 200719 yr Yeah, but how much money and time does it take to even get the level for the Guilded Altar? It took me around 5 days and cost about 4m. On Topic: I think that the game is just going to keep getting easier. More updates are going to come out that make certain skills much faster to raise. This isn't a bad thing though. It still takes time to raise your skills, just not as long as before.
January 13, 200719 yr im a pc product   look at my mage it started at 55 and i got almost all xp from pc. Americans love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. George S. Patton

January 13, 200719 yr You guys need to realize that the average age of 'Scapers is lower than it used to be, and if I'm right, getting lower as we speak. For that reason Jagex must satiate the younger players' hunger for easier updates and less work to get the levels they want. If they don't make safe, easy, efficient updates, well, they could lose some money on that :| . Basically, few players nowadays are anywhere near as dedicated as, say, the bloggers in the Blog forum. For that reason, to keep their players hooked on the game Jagex MUST make things easier for players. Otherwise people will just train, find the game extremely boring and too difficult to get what they want, and do something else. Bye-bye to that piggy bank. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

I personally think that Jagex should release more updates like that, instead of updates that are make skills easier with little effort. Agree? Disagree? One biggest update which made almost everything easier was RuneScape 2. It's been that way ever since RS2 was released, getting easier and easier. I think they should really start cutting down on updates which make the game much easier. Just look at the amount of 126 combat people these days. Known formerly as Ameoba3000. Now known as Vigoss.
January 13, 200719 yr In the end, the all have to make it easier to get eventually. I mean you can't endless add minigames, quests, new skills, etc. You need to make additions to exicting skills.Which mostly leads to better training ways anyway. The only example I can think of a big addition which didn't give any new good training way, are lunar and ancient. But I don't care about it anymore. Where I do care about is if they overdrive it (*couhg* pc *cough*). I think they should really start cutting down on updates which make the game much easier. Just look at the amount of 126 combat people these days. PC is the only update which made a skill redicously easy, imo. Maybe plunder piramde too, but I can't think of any other update which made it hugely easier. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
January 13, 200719 yr they should (mostly posting to see my new avy) Doing a little bit of everything
January 13, 200719 yr An earlier post got it exactly right. The game has to get easier. If you want updates that mean anything at all, or new weapons that have any use at all, they have to be an improvement to existing methods and weapons. If not, why do them? Who wants to only do quests that provide benefits that are less than currently enjoyed? But, easier is relative. Since more people are getting higher skills, harder and harder quests can be added, more advanced monsters can be added. Jagex can place more and more difficult stuff into the game. So, even as skills increase, new difficulty can be added. Someday, Jagex will probably add a really hard, multiperson minigame, for instance. And honestly, don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t feel bad for people who got their experience when the game was harder. How has any of this hurt them? They got what they trained for. Nothing, no skill, no ability, no nothing has been taken away from them. So, there is nothing to feel sorry about.
January 13, 200719 yr Quick question: what is reffered to by pc? --- Since januari/februari 2001 ---The Grand Exchange Search Extension
January 13, 200719 yr ecto is more xp, 4x instead of 3x the ectofunctus gives 400% of the exp given by a normal bone, and the guilded altar gives 350% Sig made (mostly) by myself :D and im proud of it ^-^Barrows : Torag plate, Ahrim Staff, Karils SkirtDragon : D Med, twice
January 13, 200719 yr Author ecto is more xp, 4x instead of 3x the ectofunctus gives 400% of the exp given by a normal bone, and the guilded altar gives 350% Can you fix that quote? I wasn't the person who said that.
January 13, 200719 yr Yeah, but speed wise, A Gilded altar is faster. Rather than... 1) Walking the whole way down to the slime and filling 9 Buckets - Ectophial 2) Grind 9 Bones - Ectophial 3) Worship Ectofunctus 4) Receive tokens 5) Go to bank and receive more bones... You can do this... 1) Light Marrentil Burners 2) Worship 27 or so Bones 3) Have butler bring more Bones and Marrentils Lots of time at 4x or little time at 3.5x, most people take the Gilded Altar. If you're looking for efficiency/quantity, you'll stick to the Ectofunctus. If you're looking for efficiency/time, Gilded altars are much faster. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

January 14, 200719 yr They should release updates which speed up training a bit (Maybe a few k experience here and there an hour more than before) but pest control is taking it too far, best experience in the game while being safe and not costing anything is stupid. Plus the fact you get 1k a game...
