Back in the day it wasn't overrun with kids who flamed me left right and center and who called me an idiot while forgetting a letter and an apostrophe in the word "your". I think you people need to stop taking this game so seriously, stop pointing fingers at others, stop flaming the [bleep] out of anybody you don't agree with... and just plain grow up. I didn't create this topic because I actually think she prays to somebody. I didn't create this topic because I actually cared if she prays to somebody. I created this topic because I thought it would be interesting to hear what the tip.it community could produce in means of creativity. Do you guys know what that word means? Well it's something many of you seem to be lacking. What all of you failed to do was the simple task of recognizing the difference between what something is, and why something is. Do you understand? If not, then let me give you a quick example. Changing spawn points between lumbridge and falador. It's a simple switch to you that leads to extra convenience and less of a walk to draynor (well back in the day anyways, before the lumby bank and the rfd quest) But the story behind it is that you're a member of the white knights now and Falador is a city blessed by Saradomin, or something like that... anyways you have the option by that sir taffy guy to switch it there because it's more holy and is closer to your base. Do you see now? Yes it's just a symbol above her head that means you cannot use a certain attack on her. I just wanted to see why you guys thought that was. I've never really read much of the knowledge base. To be perfectly honest I think I'm more of a Knowledge Base than that thing. But anyways that's irrelevant. I made this topic over at RSC and one fellow gave me an explanation that I couldn't believe somebody came up with... and it makes perfect sense. I agree with him completely! In a nutshell he explained that when we pray to the gods we are asking for the protection. We recognize the symbols over our heads as the symbol of our prayer, but when in reality it is the symbol of the protection our prayers provide. If a creature such as the Kalphite Queen has those symbols over her head, it does not imply that she prays since it was already stated that the symbols stand for protection. She just has the protection built right into her. --- In closing I want to say how disgusted I am with the utter lack of maturity this community and all RuneScape communities continue to serve up each and every single day. Yeah it's the internet - make an @$$ of yourself. It doesn't matter. Some of us just prefer a little intelligence and maturity here and there, not "ROFLMFAO OWNED!!!!!". I miss the old tip.it. I agree with you, you were trying to make intelligent conversation but all you did was get flamed, you were just trying to make a good topic, and got flamed for no reason. Jagex has stated in the past that she doesn't pray and that all the prayer symbols are are a way of telling you what type of attacks she can block. It's not really prayer. Ugghhh....she doesn't pray, shes just stronger against those certain styles of combat. Now I'm not against drugs, but whatever you're on should be cracked down on more. How the hell is this spam? And how the hell does it mean "ohhh she's just stronger against that". She isn't stronger against that... it doesn't freakin' affect her in the least bit! I wrote a letter. There are so many different measurements of maturity and making a silly joke that probably nobody laughed at doesn't indicate lack of. However slipping a little hostility in your post does. For I am not wrong. Nobody is. This is a creative discussion and even if JAGeX says that she doesn't pray, it was just a little fun to see whats you so-called "tipiters" could think up. --- And to all the people saying she was praying to herself, was that a joke, or were you serious? Well who the hell is she prayin' to!? correct me if i'm wrong, but this does not sound like your posting for just general discussion, this sounds just like you're wondering why she prayers and who its too. I simply answered your question, while you accused toast of being on drugs. When someone answers your post, and you post back with accusing them of drug use, i find that a much higher sign of immaturity. Sure, we have some really immature users, but when you say one of them is using drugs and cursing at people for answering the actual question in your post with not content that you had vaguely intended, thats a sign of more immaturity my friend. Also, may I help clear up the issue on the prayer? ALL PROTECTION PRAYERS work 100% on ALL MONSTERS. ALL PROTECTION PRAYERS work 50% on ALL PLAYERS. If a monster attacked the KQ with range and the KQ had the range prayer on, then it would not hit. But because protection prayers only effect players 50% it is still possible to hit, just less likely. This is also the reason that people hit through protection prayers in the wilderness. Now, please shut up. p.s. I am not just theorizing this, I have sent messages to JaGEx and I'm almost positive it's in the KB. (oh and btw, don't flame people for putting p.s. right after you had said that it was immature to flame somebody for a grammar issue such as improper usage of the word "your".
