February 8, 200719 yr Browsing through old news archives this boring Wednesday night, as I'm supposed to be doing my assigned 4 pages of math homework, I came across this. As far as i know, a half jug of wine is a discontinued item. And to the extent of my knowledge, these were made rare because back in the day, wines were drank in two halves. If someone had a half wine in their bank at the time Jagex switched wines to be drank in 1 whole, then your rich =P. The statement circled in red honestly confused me, and I was hoping someone who knew could tell me. Thanks :D
February 8, 200719 yr It was in the beta period. The half-full wines were never given when the account changes were not erased. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+
February 8, 200719 yr It says they fixed it. dont worry =p I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete. So, what is 1.111... equal to?10/9. Please don't continue.
February 8, 200719 yr Wow, I wonder if this was ever abused? It was in the same category as the Party Hall duping bug. It was abused, but it didn't matter - all the items gained in beta were erased. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+

Yeah I abused it to high heaven... had tons of d meds, d stones, rune items, cannons, eccetra. But like you said, it didn't matter. Jagex stated from the beginning items from the beta period would be erased as it was a test run only.
February 8, 200719 yr Yep Party hall allowed people to make so many Dmeds they were worth like 100k by end of Beta Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
February 8, 200719 yr Yep Party hall allowed people to make so many Dmeds they were worth like 100k by end of Beta Didn't effect anything right? Because only thing Beta was for is to view Rs2 and reporting bugs to help them out. Quit RuneScape :)
February 8, 200719 yr Aww, I wish I knew about that, I'd grab me a few million wines :-w . Sell em all at once for cheap price.
February 8, 200719 yr Beta was great though... People didn't care about money or items, so the economy was BOOMING! I was able to buy full rune/dmed in no time by selling runes to other players and whatnot. It was a cool thing to see honestly. Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind.

February 8, 200719 yr some one explian this beta and party hall dubing and why it all happened and when Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
February 8, 200719 yr some one explian this beta and party hall dubing and why it all happened and when It was before RS2 even came out. Members were given a fresh level 3 account in beta to test it out. There were many glitches, the most notable being the dupe glitch in party hall which allowed the duplication of items. People abused it like mad; though it didn't matter, since it was in the beta stage, and afterward Jagex deleted these accounts (and of course fixed all of the major glitches) then transferred the RSC accounts to RS2, then they launched the game.

I remember my lvl 100 at the time became lvl 103 when I logged into beta. that's how rune armor was made during beta, people just went and smithed it. after a few days, they transferred your items from rsc over to the new beta accounts to try out, and that's when everything went crazy with the party hall glitch :D anyone remember the trawler glitch that let you teleport away, and it looked like you were swimming in the ground everywhere you went? so, so much fun

The first duped party hat was given to someone by a Jagex mod - they were testing appearances and such. I personally duped hundreds of dragon mediums, and then camped at Aubury to buy nature runes - made me a few million that way. Of course, it was all erased, but it was one of the really fun times of runescape that I played in. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+
February 8, 200719 yr I didn't find out about the duping until it was fixed :( Beta was one of my favourite RS moments though, great times. Felt like I was just starting all over again.
February 8, 200719 yr I joined in october 2004. Wow I was just a tiny bit late... ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¢Ã¢ââ¬Ã
February 8, 200719 yr i wish jagex rereleased that, like a fun version of the game, sort of like private servers but actually made by jagex, i'd get hooked on RS so much more if it was like that for sure Sig by me....

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
