See, I hate the way the default blizzard UI looks. It takes up so much damn extra space and quite honestly looks ugly.

Am I the only one left who plays WoW without addons?

I don't even use quest helper.

Ugh I hate Quest Helper. Kills any RPGing left in the game.

Only addons I use is Cartographer for the zone levels and fishing levels (disable everything else) and DamageMeters.

I guess if you wanna skip the "1-80" level process to get to the end-game, fine...you like to play that way I like to quest normally. I just hate add-on elitist bastards.

And I very much dislike those who believe that addons are next to cheating and shouldn't be used.

I don't really see the point in the "RPG" of just looking in random locations for something. It's an archaic system I think that AoC and WAR already got rid of.

So from what I understand, you download different parts of the UI from different places? And where do you install them and delete the ones blizzard gives you?

and questhelper cus i hate questing

and Damage meater cus im a hunter and hunters are officialy the best PvE DPS

(which is why we are getting a huge nerf! >.<)

Hunters?.. Getting a nerf?.. What would that be?

Just so you hunters are ready.. Here are the main hunter buffs/nerfs in the upcomming 3.0.8 patch

[hide=3.0.8]Hunter

All Hunter pet abilities with a cooldown of 30 seconds or more are no longer on the global cooldown.

Aspect of the Wild - This aspect is now raid-wide.

Call of the Wild: The benefit from this pet talent now applies to only the Hunter and their own pet.

Deterrence: Design changed to grant 100% parry and 100% chance to "deflect" spells coming from the front, but prevents the Hunter from attacking. Lasts 5 sec. 60 sec. cooldown.

Improved Tracking (Survival): This talent has been slightly re-designed. Now reads: While tracking Beasts, Demons, Dragonkin, Elementals, Giants, Humanoids and Undead, all ranged damage done to those types is increased by 1/2/3/4/5%.

Kill Shot Cooldown reduced to 15 seconds, down from 35 sec.

Kindred Spirits: This talent now grants only 3/6/9/12/15% pet damage.

The coefficient of Rake (Cat) and Scorpid Venom (Scorpid) has been lowered.

Readiness: No longer resets the cooldown on Bestial Wrath.

Steady Shot: Now gains 10% of attack power as damage instead of 20%.

Serpent's Swiftness: This talent now grants only 2/4/6/8/10% bonus attack speed to pet. The hunter attack speed bonus is unchanged.

Unleashed Fury: This talent now grants only 3/6/9/12/15% pet damage.

Viper Sting: Now drains a percentage of maximum mana.

Volley: The damage has been reduced on all ranks by approximately 30% (including attack power scaling).

Sucks about Volley.. I was enjoying the great damage...[/hide]

Hunters really needed the volly nerf, no way they should be doing the same kind of AoE damage as a mage.

My UI is kinda messy at the moment.. I'll post a pic later.

Quests have some story behind them and I like reading them. You know, I'm not some 75 holy pally used for healing. I like to RP my character to some extent.

Most people just "skip" with add-ons to the end-game. No problem there, I just don't like it when they cross the line and tell me, a casual player, to become hardcore. :wall:

I can understand that. Likewise I don't want someone telling me I'm not playing the game right because I couldn't give a rats [wagon] about the games lore or story.

[e] Haha [cabbage], next virtune right here. Ok, not really. But I did just take out a druid and two rogues, 3v1 all at the same time on my mage. Both rogues were higher levels too (and the druid was my level).

That was an intense fight. :P And they jumped me too, I thought I was just ganking the druid then the rogues popped up.

Woo, epic Flyer. [bleep]ing finally.

Looking for some advice here. I'm a druid.

Fairly close to dinging 40 and I was thinking of a respec to balance to give moonkin a try.

Does balance even come close to the speed of feral levelling? I can understand there'd be a bit more downtime with mana, but if every fight I have to drink, I won't bother.

They aren't called oomkin's for nothing.

Seriously though idk how boomkin is in WoTLK.

Man am I jealous...

My friend has a druid and says Boomkins are very powerful now. Might wanna give it a shot.

If grouping with a great tank and mana replinisher, a low level boomkin can heal a level 73 instance. While I was dpsing as spriest, a boomkin healed the whole instance (3 of us had never run it before) without wiping once. Powerful spec in the right hands.

What is this thread doing half way down the page?!?

Anyway, still looking for a cool new UI. Don't be afraid to post one...

Please.

I think most of it should be up-to-date now.

That's a nice UI.

Going to try and do Sartharion with one drake still up on 10-Man after the new year. Shouldn't be too hard.

Starting 25-Mans after the new year too.

doesnt work very well tbh. I tried it, and half of the addons are still out of date.

Look nice in concept though.

Didnt BRK or someone on the hunter forums do a writeup saying that BM hunter dps would fall by 7%, not the 60% whiney hunters and trolls would have you believe?

tifsdac6mc.gif
  • Author

Haha, who would even believe their DPS would fall by 60%?

I mean, the only real DPS hits are:

Readiness: No longer resets the cooldown on Bestial Wrath.

Steady Shot: Now gain 10% of AP instead of 20%

Serpants Swiftness: This talent now grants only 2/4/6/8/10% bonus attack speed to pet. The hunter attack speed bonus is unchanged.

Unleashed Fury: This talent now grants only 3/6/9/12/15% pet damae.

Volley: The damage has been reduced on all ranks by approximatly 30% (including AP scaling)

Out of those the biggest is a hit to Steady Shot and a hit to Volley. Volley needed a nerf because there was no reason for hunters to be doing the AoE damage of a mage. The other nerfs are justified because hunters can ez mode DPS and get top almost constantly (apparently).

I can see how this would only be a 7% net DPS loss though, krisc.
