Why so soon?!?! It hasn't even been 24 hours!!! :cry: :cry: :cry:

Well, to be honest I really didn't think it through. I was looking forward to playing my rogue again, but I just forgot there isn't much for me to do. Arenas are boring as hell, battlegrounds get old pretty fast and I have no reason to raid as I've done all of the raiding content but BC/Sunwell. Not to mention I just don't wanna get into raiding again.

 

 

 

 

 

So really it just was a spur of the moment choice. I'm having so much more fun now today back in WAR.

As much as i like WAR and how it trounces wow in pvp in almost every way:

 

-PVE is so dull, the encounters are cookie cutter and there merely an afterthought.Personally PVE is my favourite part of the game, its the most social and can be the most fun.

 

-Social side of the game is weak, ok the way you can find a group is so easy even if creating a group is not so...but it cuts out all the discussion like "Oh what spec are you?"(irrelevent in WAR) which eventually leads into "Geez why am i watching the golden girls".Talking is fairly non existant and just saying "Oh ive had way more social interaction" or "EU servers must be crappy" is [cabbage] because no one ever talks unlesss there NERDRAGING.Seriousley thats all the interaction i saw was someone NERDRAGING because they could ride a pig into battle and want to change class.

 

-Why do i have to spend time signing the LUA each log in?It was an over reaction after the lawsuits against blizzard and i think just having to sign it each patch is better than spending that 4 seconds accepting...(nitpicked that one)

 

 

 

Those are the 3 gripes with the game, apart from that its a really fun game, ok its doing less than EA expected because they wanted a few million so they at least have a foot in the MMO space but i do think that with 750k subscribers it will have legs and be a great success.Im still playing WAR till wrath at least, thats when my subscription goes.

Started a Blood Elf Hunter on a different "decent" PVP server, hopefully it will be better for PVP than my mage. Just hit level 15, pretty easy so far. May just get to 19 and stay in BG's.

Well obviously if you're a bigger fan of PvE than WAR may not be the game for you. That being said, have you gone to mount gunbad, or bastion stairs? Likewise some of the higher level PQ bosses get fairly interesting as well. :)

 

 

 

And you can just check mark it and click accept, takes 2 seconds tops to get through LUA. I wanna say it's so they can do something with the gold farmers (as they are breaking the EULA).

Yeah it is from blizzard sueing the gold farmers and i think EA/Mythic took note of that and adopted it in the LUA, maybe its because blizzard takes less of a hit if they do lose one of these court cases(financially)

 

And i havent done MG or BL if taht changes viewpoints on dungeon design.Even if they are phenomenal they simply dont have the catalogue of dungeons that Wow has amassed over the years, and there focus isnt on pve at all, i think to shift focus would be a big mistake and it just doesnt suit the combat system imo

Yeah mount gunbad and bastion stairs (and Lost Vale, although I haven't done it yet) are the "real" dungeons in the game. If you are talking about the little ones in altdorf/Inevitable city they are not "real" dungeons, just little places to farm rep for your city. :P

 

 

 

Really though the PvE isn't bad, the encounters are pretty epic in those dungeons.

Yeah im in the same situation but im keeping herbalism and picking up inscription.i think that the first tier of inks requires 200 or so peacebloom which i have banked \.By the time ive gone through outland i should have enough herbs for 350 inscription at least.

yesterday i nearly went crazy leveling my shaman trying to get fire totem, i spent 3 hours killing boars, got 2 level ups and still no drops

 

 

 

 

 

just to realise that after 3 hours of being in a raid for standby... no quest drop in raid XDXDXD

I used a Torrent downloader for the pre-patch so I already have the patch instead of getting it stuck from 95%-99% like most people. I'll only have a megabyte or so for the actual patch so I'll be online pretty fast. I've got my glyphs sorted, but am still undecided whether to get the pengiun or polar bear polymorph! :lol: :lol:

 

 

 

Druid is now 32 and warlock is almost 17, rejigged my UI a bit so have more space!

 

 

 

Starting to learn LUA now, or trying to, and Xml and I plan on making some simple AddOns which help me - I do learn programming pretty fast once I know how it works.

I've tried learning LUA, but I don't know where to learn from. :( Could you help me out? (I imagine it couldn't be too hard compared to Java).
