800 dps sounds really low, even for a feral druid. If I were you I would look around a bit on what recommended builds are and attack rotations for ferals. You should be able to put out higher DPS than that.

 

 

 

I believe there are training dummies you can give it a shot on in dalaran too to test. I'm willing to best something is wrong with your attack rotation though.

First of all, my spec might need a little bit of work, but couldn't make a difference over 100 dps. My hunter rotation is great. Serpent Steady > Steady Shot. I am always top or second dps. I have boots from questing, a cloak from questing, and a sword from questing. All three blues, and from level 80 quests at that. I have the blue hunter LW legs and shoulders. I have a belt from a normal level 80 instance. I have a helmet, chest, two rings (one epic) and a pair of gloves (also epic) from heroics. I have a good sword and decent weapon from argent crusade rep rewards. Overall my gear isn't great, but it is defiantly suited for heroics. I should be around 2000 dps by the time I've replaced my level 80 questing blues and non heroic gear as well as respecced and got a new pet.

By the way, at level 75 1100 dps is possible while killing guys your level, but if you go into a level 80 instance (not heroic) you won't do above 500dps.

Dude, Pre WoTLK (TBC) raiding we had enh shaman in our guild pull 1200+ DPS sustained. You must be playing with bad players.

1st boss in DtK. He was orange to me so not as high as I want, but its pretty much a tank and spank so it shows my sustained DPS.

 

 

 

 

The entire DtK run. Sadly the last boss sucks because you can only pull like 500-600DPS due to getting turned into a skeleton, so it skewed the meters a bunch. (Was well into 1020-1050 DPS before that). Still, as you can see it is mainly Arcane Barrage, Blast and Missiles for DPS. Not AoE spam. And again these are orange mobs.

 

 

 

ps: My gear is nothing to write home about. 878 Spell damage, 15.5% crit, 87 Haste rating (+6% from talents too).

Well in the Heroics I was running you had to pull above 1.7k to even be allowed to roll on loot, 1.8k for Raids. :S

My friend is on my server, I group with him. Just because you group with bad players it doesn't mean everyone is a bad player. From what I can tell, you need some tips yourself. I won't group with people that don't do at least 1900 in heroics, you can get that easy. Hunters should always be at 2200+ in full 80 blues, you just button mash steady shot, I have one. You need more experience bro.

How many minutes left on enrage did you have when you jumped on the drakes, we managed to shave it down with our setup to just over 4 minutes going all out with me as a healer dpsing phase 1.

we killed him with 2:30 going into phase 3, and it was comfortable, i.e. no enrage.

And now I soloed the 5 man quest Sarathstra, Scourge of the North.

Just revisiting the DPS topic a little bit, but I feel like proving a point.

 

 

 

I just checked recall from last night's heroic, and I was doing around 1500dps the last instance I ran, which was H VH.

 

 

 

 

 

 

My DPS as frostfire on a single target, fairly tank and spank boss in normal VH @ lvl 75. Just trying to say that 1500dps is kind of low for a level 80.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh and I respeced frostfire if you didn't notice :P. Bored and giving it a try. I like 5k frostfire crits.

^What damage meters are you using? They look alot better than the bulky one im using.
