August 2, 200718 yr Doesn't sound...too great to be honest. A lot like TBC, really. Nothing drastically new, bar the class ofc. Clearly, blizz are worried about the new MMORPGs coming out if they're prepared to expand again already. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
August 2, 200718 yr I really hope some of that is falsified... Blizzard needs to understand that hardly and guilds have entered The Black Temple, let alone cleared it. If they increase the cap all the raids will become outdated and just like when The Burning Crusade came out, nobody will do them. Really it's a dumb move, they should just add new 70 content or something, I would love to See Hyjal and The Black Temple, but I just don't see myself there soon. Either delay the release till over a year from now, way over, or don't increase the cap. :(
August 2, 200718 yr Why is it so damn hard to be a raiding rogue. :( Please take a seat raiding rogue # 73235385. The rogues in my guild are top notch and on most trash and boss fights, they finish #1 on the damage meters. Rogues are a solid DPS class that offers very little other then DPS( if you count kicks). I'm afraid if rogues were offered any other kind of raid utility, DPS warriors and enh shamans may become obsolete. Just be glad you're not a hunter. They're almost just as represented as rogues are but they do low DPS and offer very little. If hunters didn't get misdirect I'm pretty sure we wouldnt take any :-s The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.
August 2, 200718 yr Author Why is it so damn hard to be a raiding rogue. :( Why you say that? I always finish #1 DPS on our fights (even on ones not in my favor) in my guild. I don't find it tough at all.

Outdating some of the actually quite fun instances pre-TBC so that they are basically never done does not add content, it destroys content. You keep up "expanding" your game that way, you'll end up with a bunch of players that look at the game and go "This isn't the game I bought?" in which case you'll end up making yourself more vulnerable, not less, to new games stealing your customers. MMORPG gaming is about capitalizing on the game actually have. Especially since the way TBC was implemented, we didn't pay for "additional content", we paid for "new content"; The old one was irreversibly destroyed. -This message was deviously brought to you by:
August 2, 200718 yr What I think is that they should only raise the lve cap to 75, so that the lve 70's can have a bit of fun. Maybe even a instance or two (nothing like black temple though). The next expansion should focus more on pvp and mid lve stuff. I think they should focus more on the 30-58 and provide more instances that can be done at a lower lve plus provide more entertaining pvp at that time to allow lower lve players to learn how to pvp better. August 2, 200718 yr Yes well, after taking a LONG break, I have decided to come back to WoW. I delete all my old characters because I wanted to start anew. No big loss though. I have 3 new characters now. Lightbringer - TheGoblin/A BurningBlade - Permafrost/H Revencrest - Scorm/A You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."
August 3, 200718 yr I'm just having so much trouble getting into raid positions - I simply can't put down the kind of DPS that's needed for the new content (new for the guild, at least). I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I might reroll, or just quit, that's how down I am with it.

Find a 1.4 speed or less dagger and put it in your OH, that will help. As combat daggers you'll probably do a 1s/3s/5r combo, which means 1cp SnD, 3 cp SnD 5 cp rupture and repeat.

Ah yeah I know about that. I had my daggers switched around before but the lead rogue in my guild told me that even with the speed difference, it's better to have the Ripper on my MH. I just need to change the OH, and I've started doing 5v5's for the Shiv. We got 350 points in our first week, so it's not too bad of a start.

There's not much point in providing lower level content because the vast majority of the playerbase does not spend most of their playing time doing it. Just about everyone can be said to hit Outland content at some point, but there's just no reason for most people to go back and do new content for level <60. Heck, there's precious little reason to go back and do the level 60 content as it is. Some additional focus on PvP - world and BG - would be quite nice though. -This message was deviously brought to you by:

I would really enjoy it if they made some new heroics. Especially old raiding content, that would be amazing. =P~ Some other heroics would be great too, storming through Heroid Dead Mines, getting thrashed in Heroic Gnomergan. Ooooooo...
August 3, 200718 yr For those of you like myself who plan to sit AFK in AV during their playtime today, heres the blizzcon blog from IGN to keep you occupied. http://pc.ign.com/articles/810/810325p1.html The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.
August 3, 200718 yr Well, looks like its confirmed. I still think midlve content should be made to hep newer players lve. As it is, ive never reached 60, let alone 70 because im having a harder and harder time finding a group to do anything properly. if new midlve stuff came out, i bet new players would be better because there would be more instances and stuff to help them along. There would still be the same amount of low levels though, just now they would be spread even thinner through content.

I leveled my priest to 70 without doing a single instance. My main, a warrior, was leveled to 70 and I didn't do most of the instances. They're not necessary to level...They don't even really HELP you level. Sure, running an instance can get ya' some exp and rewards, but if you get a sucky group and wipe for 6 hours straight (I've experienced this - LBRS+[cabbage] group=WTFWASTEDTIME), then you've set yourself back. Get an instance quest but can't find a group? Abandon it and don't do it, then. If you're running out of regular, solo quests, then try to find another level-approperiate area, or grind for a level or two so you can get new quests. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

Yeah instances are only good to get gear really. Even then at low levels it gets replaced quickly. WoW is a unique MMO in that the game truely does 'start' at 70.
August 3, 200718 yr :? I lve 3 times as fast in an instance, then i do by myself. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
August 3, 200718 yr You are questing, right? Not grinding? >.> I've learned a few tricks with my alts. The first is - quests that are five levels below you give the same amount of XP as the quest does when it is two levels *above* you. If that makes sense. So if I'm level 35, I can do level 30 quests (green) and they give me the same amount of XP they would normally if I was level 30-32 (yellow). The past two 60+s I've leveled, I used this method. Before, I avoided green quests at all costs and only did yellow quests - sometimes ones that were two levels above me. If you do that method, you'll run out of quests eventually and have orange quests to do at some point. The trick is to use Thottbot's Find Quests search. If you're level 20, find quests - level FIFTEEN and do all of them. When you hit 21, do level 16 quests. Rinse and repeat. Once you are six levels above a quest, you start to lose XP. This is a great method as you can skip virtually all instances, can solo all parts of it (since the mobs are five levels below you - especially nice for melee classes working on weapon skill), and will NEVER run out of quests. In fact, you'll probably have more than is needed. The trick is to do them all though.. you really shouldn't skip entire zones or quest hubs. Grab FastQuest Classic - it shows you the level of the quests in your quest log. Use this method - trust me, it's a lot easier and by the time you're 58, you can head straight to Outland, skipping the "bad zones" such as Silithus, Winterspring, EPL, etc.
