I've decided I need a second 70, so I'm playing my old Nelf Drood alt. 19 at the moment, and not stopping to do any BG's.

You've abandoned your Blood Elf hunter?!

Let me know how the druid works out. Got one to forty awhile back.

A long time ago.. did two weeks of AB and WSG at 29 and then shelved her.

Hahaha, I'm leveling a druid alt as well atm, probably a tank cause there's always a need for them. Although if they're looking at the 1-60 leveling, I might hold back a bit and wait for the new expansion.

It's not gonna be for a long time, so I wouldn't worry - I am having fun with it at the moment so I'm not bothered.

Sitting pretty on 22 at the moment. The fun thing about levelling again is having the LocalDefense messages pop up, and being able to relog and destroy the attackers.

Hehehehe.

Why? You didn't think the hunter was good, or it just wasn't fun? My hunter was one of my favorite twinks to play, they can do so much.

They're so boring for me, it literally seemed too easy to level at low levels. I could only get mine to like the low 20's.

I'm leveling my lock alt with my friends shadow priest and having a blast. We just tear through mobs. Like the troll camps in STV, we can DoT all of them at once and just fear kite. (we're in our mid 30's).

Meh, seems a bit of a contradiction saying how you find hunters boring and eays to level, when all you're doing now is Dot,dot, fear, dot, lol.

It wasn't just easy, but it was boring. I hated having to wait for my pet to get agro first. At least on the lock I actually have a bit of multi tasking so I can stay at good mana/health. (alternating between life tap/life drain/soul drain at the end of a kill to get mana, all while doing DPS with dots).

Its a lot more fun. :) . The hunter I really would only auto shoot, with some arcane shots in there.

I hate locks. They're so boring. In fact, I hate all pet classes. I'll keep my lock because...they're OP and it might be fun someday. I'm still working on my Shadow Priest.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=rZZxGMuMto0tvo is the build I'm looking at at 50. Any advice?

That build looks fine.

Also something just kind of...clicked with me for the lock. I didn't have as much fun with it before but right now its a blast. I'm liking the multi tasking I have to do to be mana efficient, and not sitting -- ever, is nice.

No, it was ALOT of fun. I'd never top the charts, but always would be right at the top, and I'd usually have the least amount of deaths. Plus, I have a Boar on that character, and it's BM spec, so it's pretty much a PvP machine.

At the end of the day, I was more interested in progression on my rogue.

I really enjoyed my lock when I played him, although I still hated leveling him. I was too addicted to PvP

As for the shadow priest are you trying to be more orientated towards PvE? Either way it seems like you should get more points in imp mind blast. If you're not more pve oriented, obviously don't get the 25% threat reduction, and get blackout. I cannot tell you how many times I have spammed the chat because of how much I hated that proc haha. It doesn't seem like much, but it feels like it procs more than 10%.. Grr I hated that talent.

There's only one thing I like about Belfs, the hyper-dramatic death sequence. It's brilliant :P

It just makes killing them all the more satisfying. :D

Trying to work with my UI a bit to make it a bit more apealing... still not sure if I'll keep it this way. Got it like this on my alt btw, not main yet. :P (he's a test subject).

The UI

edit: just imagine that but with the box/chat boxes much lower opacity now.

double edit: This is what it looks like now

triple edit: The download link, set for 1680x1050 resolution. You'll probably have to twink it a bit otherwise

The biggest thing is I didn't name addon/WTF folders right so just go inside and place them in what you need.

X-Perl?

Re-rolled with a friend, and I'm quite enjoying the mage life at the moment, can't wait until AoE and stuff.

I've got quite a lot of changes as you can see :P if you want to know what any of it is just reply/whatever.

Question about mages -

Whats the best spec to go for? I've heard they both(fire/frost) do equally good in pvp if played right.

In pve(instances) Fire does more DPS, where as frost generates less threat.

And of course if I know that if I'm grinding frost is the way to go (AoE ftw)

The way I see it is the best for leveling is fire (not aoe of course). The theory there is kill 'em before they touch you. However, fire has almost no survivability. You're basically relying on crits with fire. After 50, I think it is wise to go frost. But for questing 10-49 go fire. If you just plan to AoE (very boring IMO) then go frost no questions asked.

you can kill things easily without them touching you with frost considering its low spellcasting time, slowing down ablities and frostbite. but if you want do what i did, choose which one seems most fun

At the minimum go fire until you can get the useful spells in frost, shatter/ice barrier/ect.

I went fire until 50 then respecced. I regretted it to be honest. With fire, I could solo ANY elite Azeroth quest - including the giant that walks the Stranglethorn Vale coast. It was awesome. Frost is fun with the added survivability but I miss seeing the big numbers and losing Ignite was sad as well.

You need wayy more agility. There is a really good gun, legs, and gloves that you can get from a quest, I dunno how far into 29 you are.

http://www.thottbot.com/i6727 - gloves

http://www.thottbot.com/i1978 - another nice pair of gloves but are really rare and expensive

http://www.thottbot.com/i4108 - legs if you want more hp

http://www.thottbot.com/i9624 - legs if you want more agi

http://www.thottbot.com/i17687 - best gun you can get

http://thottbot.com/i13108 - best cloak but you have to buy. Was about 40g on my server most of the time.

http://thottbot.com/i8226 - In mainhand, pvp dagger in offhand

Get some enchants too if you want.

Necklace, trinkets, rings, get the PvP rewards, maybe weapons if you

want too.

Hope this helps :) . If you have any other questions about twinking especially in that bracket let me know
