Good article. I agree with the tabbed bank idea. If I could convince Jagex about any one update, it would be that.

Big_Stingman is the bomb!

have been member for like 1 year, and I never had any bank problems :D

It's nice to see a good serious article for a change. =D>

100% support mate great article

Another ability that would be useful would be the ability to destroy items without first taking them out of the bank. That would be a huge help to F2P players who've had to give up membership ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ they'd be able to clean out the stuff they don't want or can replace (holiday items for example), and have usable banks again.

There's something I'd change about that. Some people turn f2p due to random situations. Insufficient bank funds in real life, parents that don't want to pay for you anymore, your time ran out when you were on vacation and you don't have the money for a new subscription...or the time to play for a while. Stuff like that.

So you're stuck on F2p temporarily. I'd suggest that Jagex could add a system to where you can store your items in a 'suspension bank' that you can only access once you're back as a p2p player. It'd be kind of like, a bank with a lock. You have 3 days or so prior to the time you log in to store all the items into the 'suspension bank'.

If that were to happen, the f2p players would be able to enjoy the game when they're not a p2p player.

Also note: Not all players are willing to make doubles of their f2p items even though it's not always a hassle. So this would be a solution for those types of people.

Edit: Oh by the way, nice post! I'd be nice the see tabbed bank, with a preset function and maybe a few custom tabs for miscellaneous items.

I'd actually rather have my scammed masks back then more bank space.

Good article.

Good article.

I didn't have any bank space issues when I was a member, but then again, I only finished 10 quests and have really low member stats.

Now that I'm f2p again, I've done everything, including throwing out mage and range armor to make space in my bank again. It's crazy how full the bank gets. The runes takes up two lines plus another line for the arrows. Then armor takes up 4 spaces. Add in essentials such as a rune pick ax, rune woodcutting ax, money, 110 tinderboxes :-w , random event clothing, etc. and you get a full f2p bank. It's really not that hard to fill up your bank.

I personaly have no problem with having space to store things in my bank but as far as organisation its like trying to find all of the pecies of a noob after a level 126 bashes him wtih full dh(yes that is a bad comparison but you get the idea) i have only one row in my bank organised. Sad i know. But i agree in full of the tabbed banks

the following statement is true.

the above statement is false.

I agree totally o.o

Isn't organised spelt organized?

Only in America. Tip.It, like Runescape, spells English words as the English do.

I was thinking that with a lot of words, then rememered England. We need a >.< emote. I think :wall: Is a little harsh.

good piece, I agree with the editor on both things. My top bank is always neat its the bottom which is much to be desired. Where i like to keep everything (packrat) my bank gets full alot of the time, and ends up with me spending a hour or so cleaning it, then messing it up within a few hours a new system would be nice.

The most reasonable upgrade Jagex could do, would be to make tabbed banking. Server-space wise it doesn't take up more server space, since it would still be the same amount of alloted slots, yet it would give a splendid way to organize all your stuff.

The first principle is you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool --- Richard P. Feynman

i think that a tabbed bank and more space in our bank will be great for all players, (f2p and p2p)

I'm a F2P and bank space is the principal problems i think: we must cast out a lot of object even if they are usefull

Look at my bank, i need all this item, and i have more or less 6-7 places ( i stroke all quest items).

don't laugh after seeing it:D

I agree, maybee have 10 tabs and give f2p 3 plus a space for currency (coins, tickets etc)

I agree totally. Eh I was so supprized when I ran out of bankspace yesterday. I was like *WHAT THE?!* After remembering having alot of space. I got alittle scared... To be totaly honest. But then what came to mind will haunt me forever... Bank Cleanout (nooo)

I hate cleaning out my bank... In runescape I am a packrat. I keep things from quests as trophies. Like the Armband, I got that. The totem cross thing, I got that too. I had the fishing trophy, i dunno what happened to it. But yeah i have alot of stuff i'll NEVER need.

Well now I have like 6 rows free, but man it was sad :( Though I did make like 5 or 10k...

Lets see some of the stuff..

Bear ribs

Raw meat

Furs

(U) Bows

unfinished strength and attack potions (What?!)

roots...

Farming stuff I would never need...

A gajillion seeds over level 40 farming....

The list goes on forever!

Some bronze armor...

Mith stuff...

Yew bows i pked from some kid...

Yaarrrgh! My Prize for Pking! Gone! AAARRRGGG

*Laughs*

I remember when I tried organizeing my bank. It didn't work to well.

I got close with the first entire picture... But didn't last long.

Lets see

I had Tallies

Stackable currency (Tokkul, Coins, Trading Sticks etc)

Keys

Books

Runes

Potions

Thats all I had. Lol it didn't work as planed. When you have like (What, 50?) 50 spaces of stuff that can and can't be organized, I think you'll be in trouble.

But think of it th is way, I had my Farming stuff where it was when they gave farming bank space. There has been alot of rows added since then!

And yet we need more... Like Right now, more would be awsome. No quest to fill it, no skill to fill it. Just for junk.

English is my third language, but I am still trying.

Great article!

Funny, because just recently I was wondering .. "What in this big pile of junk, I cal my bank, do I actallu use?".

Result: 6 or 7 free rows!!! And like 3 or 4 of stuff left to sell.

Great article! One spelling mistake

Will it happen? Who knows. Jagex might already be working on something like that - may they're working on a way for players to purchase extra bank space for GP, or even on some completely different idea all together.

Should be maybe.

Fixed, thanks for picking that up.

Remember, the SEARCH button is your friend. Use it!

the only thing jagex needs to do to fix the bank space issue is add a "page 2".

a simple little tab you can click -- "page 2"

how hard is that? can you say, page 2?

Oooo  i enjoyed the reading... although i dont agree completely with what it says, usually i dont need bank space cuz im always sellin what i have... stuff lyk food, ores and bars. Only problem is when i go pking... thats when i need bank space cuz i need 2 store my armor... Anyways, nice article

Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.

lol, u got me off guard there, i expected some more bull about phats.

anyway rs banks are Weird, one day u have a free line of space and when u think u even saved some more space it suddenly is totally full again.

I actually dont need those banks to change as top priority, cause my bank is highly organised as i keep at least 2 items of each. But it takes some effort to keep it tidy and if u are low on cash to much money will be locked away with all those double items.

...like yesterday I had to sell 2 guthix pages but I sorta wanted to keep them becauseI wanted to get a full guthix book, already got the sara one but wouldn't mind a guthix one too....

You can by the 'book cover' and put your pages in it until you complete the book. Right now I have 1 page of a god book I need, and as soon as I get a 2nd page - I'll buy the book cover so it goes back to taking up one bank space.

My bank is always full (my friends can vouch for that  ) majority is taken up by farming and herblore items. I don't work just one skill at a time, so I have a little bit of everything.

I think quest items should have an area of their own, like the box used in the Burgh de Rott quest where you put several items into the box - which only took up one space in your back pack. I've been tempted to drop the monkey greegrees many times, but I'm not going back through that mess to get a new one.

Sometimes it takes Jagex a while to realize perhaps they should add that new key from a quest to the key ring (I dropped the Meiyerditch key the day I got it because you weren't able to put it on the key until later).

Dropped the yak and jester outfit after I was done with quest, it would be nice to store in house instead of going back to the islands to get it but if I want it THAT BAD, then I will make that journey.

I've had the freaky forester lederhosen for a year, I got a hat about two weeks ago - then the rollback happened and I lost the hat (along with other stuff I gained that day). So perhaps in 3 years I'll get full lederhosen. At least for zombie you can "prompt" that random by burying bones - that's what I did and I got full zombie and both emotes.

I'm waiting for an RS "wallet" for all the forms of currency - ectotokens (yes I use them :P ), pieces of eight, castle war tickets, agility arena tickets, tokkul and so on.

I thought the bolt pouch concept was neat - but then they put a limit of 200-250 bolts - I had thousands.

And yes, proud packrat here - I like having some useless collections. It brings a smile to my face to see my burnt monkfish grinning at me

Vine is waving at me. What? What was that?! It gave me the tendril! :o
