Tip.It Times Presents: The One Rare Almost Everybody Wants

wow, this one of the only articles that i could COMPLETELY relate to in every way:wall: ! Every single thing that the author had said, I had experienced. I know that after i get my quest cape, i'll finally be able to refocus my bank on fewer areas, and that should help free up some space. Also, at the rate i'm going, i should be able to complete my lederhosen outfit by next year! Thats another one for the costume room.

I really seem to have everything in my bank. I have every rune, ore, log, herb except guam, seeds sweetcorn + and most herb and all tree seeds. And thats just the beginning. I cant decide what to drop for bank space. Toad legs?- no, i need those for gnome restaurant. Ashes?- no, i use those for herblore when i'm desperate... Whenever a friend asks me if i have something, i do. Unless it's very expensive, or decorative. hmmmm...

wait a minute, why would you keep the jester stuff and the jak armour+ shield? i guess i understand if you feel like keeping the jester stuff for fun, but to me it looks like the guy that wrote this article just has a problem with throwing away unnecessary stuff. I personally still have a lot of space in may bank with plenty of items I can still throw away, theres just no reason to keep stuff like jak armour.

Here's an idea I just congured (sp? maybe conjured) up:

How about a new room is released, called the Warehouse, where members can build like places to store all their skill related stuff. For example, why not have like a little basket thingie where we can store herbs, seeds. Or a cupboard where we can store raw meat/fish/vegetables. And then maybe to just make it more interesting, a place to store all of your rune essences/staves/runes/tabs? That's it, the only magic related thing you'd ever need in a bank would be a home teletab. That's it really, and TBH, that's all that would be needed skill-wise. Maybe weapons rack to store bows/weapons if they're feeling generious.

Above all else, Jagex could twist this to their advantage, and increase the effects of the money drain. People would go apo over this improvement - bank space is a subject ALL players feel strongly about. Plus, it would create a profotable business selling point for all builders - eventually they'd have something useful to sell!!!

I think The Editor has done a reasonable article. It puts forth a "many of you know how I feel" point of view, and really puts you in The Editor's shoes.

I wonder if they have posted in the "More F2P Bank space!" thread... :-k ...BTW, anyone who likes this article should come join the supporters and the upcoming rally over there. :) (BTW, this is properly related, in case you're curious!) ...I hope The Editor will come and join us and put the point through to Jagex. :)

tifuserbar-dsavi_x4.jpg and normally with a cool mind.

(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)

I personally have a lot of bank space but that is because I don't play constantly so I don't build up a lot of stuff. (Oh the curse of having to work!) Though I do agree that even some simple tabs would be great (one for runes one for armor one for potions one for current quest and one for food see below for details). Or have some dedicated spots that can't be altered (like money is always the top left or all runes are always together) in the bank.

But as for having like a costume room or what not I don't have the gp so I can't comment on that.

Food: only cooked

Armour: only the best you have in the bank

Runes: all runes go here but not the rune ess or the tallies/tirias

Potions: all potions in the various dosages here but not the item/ingredents for them

All of this is automatic of course

Current quest (couldn't think of what else to call it.): items needed for ongoing quests (like the a rope, ess, posion ivy, and a trowel or whatever is apporaite to the quest)

yeh.. bank space is a huge problem... but mine's due to the fact I have all the barrows sets.. which is kinda annoying because I'm continually having to sell stuff which I was actually keeping, like yesterday I had to sell 2 guthix pages but I sorta wanted to keep them becauseI wanted to get a full guthix book, already got the sara one but wouldn't mind a guthix one too.... Yup, good article and I hope the blokes at jagex towers read it and kick emselves for being so slow on making banks better! =P

Really nice article. We surerly all need more bank space, JAGeX!

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Splendid article, though i don't have any problem with bank space atm :P

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Ahh bank space.

I have jsut lost my membership the other day, and trying to live now on a f2p bank is hard. I still need to keep flax, bs and williows unstrung becasue I polan to become a member agian when i have the money.

As p2P i never ever filled my bank, i always tried to get rid of random things that i nevr needed, But now having no seeds, herbs etc I should be ablto keep it clean

noob,maximu160490.gif

maximu160490.gif

Although I agree with the need for more bank space, it is very easy to keep the bank tidy....

I have at least 2 of every item I need or use thus it remains in the same place at all times, after a period of time you get use to where objects are and the bank is easy to navigate.

However base 3 or 4 rows is a bit of a mess with quest items & armour which you cant stack guthans etc... Also still need more cash to get my second d chain & fury

The article was ok but I think that the current amount of bank space is fine. However I do agree that there needs to be more tools to help organisation.

good article

=D>

agree totally..

i do agree about the organise thing, but not about the lack of space, just throw away your quest item stuff.

[OffTopic]This artical should've been named "One Rare to Rule Them All"[/OffTopic]

Either way, I find my bank really messy half the times, and I just live with it. If I use the item alot, it tends to be towards the bottom of my bank and all is fine... Although when I find myself needing my Law Tiara or Nature Tiara for some rune crafting, half the times I can rarely find it...

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007

First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

There certainly is a huge imbalance between F2P and P2P bank space. P2P have 384 spaces, F2P about 60 I think. When I gave up membership on one of my characters, it took me almost an hour to clear out "members objects" that I knew I could replace, or didn't care about so he could have enough bank space for a change of clothes.

hugh_mannity.png

I liked this article very much.

It's only a matter of time for a new bank interface to be released, but I don't think more F2P space will be put, because that isn't a language problem!

I'm back.

How is this a rare? I have like 50 rows left and so do 80% of friends I asked.

I AM SURELY GOING TO WIN THE AWARD OF THE MOST LOVED TIP.IT'ER EVER, SURELY?

The biggest problem is the 60 different kind of seeds in the game.

if jagex could make a pouch to put all the seeds in one bank spot. it would clear up a whole lot

Amazing article. I'm always bouncing between no spaces left to a row left. I would absolutely adore more bank space.

Foooman.png

yep, you are so right. i think that the main thing is quest items. things like clothes etc and items you think you might need. they need to update the weird old man or have a new area in your house for quest gear.

i recon a combat equipment room would be good too, all those exccess staffs, odd arrows, and weaker armour have a nice shelf to put them away in.

and also, i've had to clear out my bank about 5 times recently, and most of it is seeds. i might want to go back to farming, and have to collectem all again. and all my arrows and runes and books, you never know when they'll be needed.

and now, after a number of request i had from the crowd, goodnight

very good article =) may be the first one ive read through to the end aswell ^.^ comming from me that really means something, i think the tab idea is a really good one =) and should def get the go-ahead in the not to distant future.

and my bank is always messy <.< on the best of days when ive just had a total cler up and organised it all.... ill still find it impossible to find anything lol

anyway enough from me =) got crafting to do

bye ^.^

Ive quit enough times to quit again and be garunteed im guna be bribed back, totally worth it ;) until next month anyway

Good article.

To be honest, as a F2Per I don't even have bankspace problem. But when I was a member, I filled 3 screens of my bank with junk in the first day. :|

I'd be fair if P2P got a tabbed banking thing. As F2Per there is no need for that, as there is only one screen of space, so you'll find always everything in an instance.

ltjemightyro9.png

Retired.

I just got a costume room. I cleared like 4 lines. That lunar armor took up a whole line.

I would put a cool link here but I don't know how.

Great article! One spelling mistake

Will it happen? Who knows. Jagex might already be working on something like that - may they're working on a way for players to purchase extra bank space for GP, or even on some completely different idea all together. What I do know is that they've been working very hard on improving the game engine, the player interfaces, in fact, the whole player experience, for some time now. So I would be very surprised if a better bank wasn't in the works. We've seen changes in the player interface which will make it easier for them to port the game to other languages. We've seen improvements in the way things are done, such as being able to operate rings and amulets while wearing them. Jagex has done a lot in the past six months to a year in these areas, and I can't imagine that an improved bank isn't on the list somewhere. In the meantime, no more phr33 st0ph pl0x! ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ unless it's bank space!

Should be maybe.
