Another normal day, I buy 5k pure ess and dust off my runecrafting gear. I craft 2k nats in crowded hours, back in worth suprisingly without a single attack. Around another 200 I go on a regular trip from the bank to the mage in the wilderness. I didn't see anyone my level, so I happy run to the mage. All of a sudden I'm snared out of nowhere in level 4 wilderness. Then I see a level 92 coming my way, ready to dds me. So like all the other attacks, I quickly switch to my inventory and tap my trusty ectophial. But suddenly it doesn't work. I click again, thinking it was a short lag but it still doesn't work. Then I tell myself it's just a long lag and I will log in again safely surrounded by friendly ghosts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unfortunely, I was wrong. I saw the teleblock spell, it's deadly sparkling stars whooshing at me, it was a successful attack. I have never been teleblocked. Out of all the tens of thousands of nats I have crafted, I have never seen someone attempt to teleblock me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh god I'm teleblocked, I thought. But I did not panic because I knew exactly what to do. Already the teleblocker was smashing me with saradomin strike, hitting constant 10-25's. I dropped three pure ess and unequiped my three most valuable items: my glory, the black d hide body, and the black d hide legs. By the time I had dropped them, my screened blacked out and I was facing the walls of lumbridge castle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I quickly ran as fast as my legs could carry me to the bank, took out a glory, teleported, and ran to the spot where I died.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There I found my killer had fled, but a lvl 87 remained, who could attack me with his dds, but instead he simply said "follow me". So I followed him, knowing that I could not lose anything if he killed me. He led me out of the wilderness and traded me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There he held up a glory with 3 charges, a black d hide body, and black d hide legs. He then pressed the accept button. I thanked him over and over and over, explaining how long it would take to replace those items. He simply said "I hate rc pkers". I asked him if there was any way I could repay him, I asked it over and over. He declined my offer and in a flash ran away from the bank to the south. I never got this name, but I will always remember him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This has been the kindest person I have ever met, I could name so many people that would keep those items and laugh in my face, but instead this person gives me my precious items back, and that is what makes a true Runescape player- one who puts kindness over items.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just thought I would share it with you, it shows there is still kindness in Runescape, even in the most unexpected places.

You're one of the lucky ones Sunny. I've met a rare few like your mysterious helper.

I always try to help fellow RCers when they're being PKed, usually I try to stay to get back their stuff or if they're within my attackable range, I'd try and DDS spec them.

Aww it's nice to know that there are still kind, selfless people out there :) Reminds me of the time that I was killing Green Dragons in the wildy and I got attacked. But then, out of nowhere, a ranger (level 90+, I believe) came to my rescue and scared the attacker away : Hehe.

That's a nice story, you might want to drop your pouches though, they are more difficult to get back. :wink:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only rc protection I've has is someguy who told me to pm him whenever I see ahrims.

There are some nice people left. One time, while woodcutting, a dragon axe head fell off, and a nice person actually gave it back to the owner. There need to be more people like this.

My nicest had to be someone returning my stuff from barrows on my second run.

In case another one of this teleblockers got you, you should a sara brew(4) as a precaution. Nice story though

my friend who is now banned was very nice i died a few times at places like kq kbd and other various places and always returned my items... I know thats different but i never asked for them back.. he also helped me loads by letting me take his materials he could lvl with and get exp from em.. Like making pots bows and stuff like that..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am like the rc pker in a way.. this guy was killin gargoyles and him and i were talkin a nice lil chat to break the boring training.. he was laggin i guess and died there was a nice lil pile that lay before me... black mask glory were some of the top items in the pile but there were a few mauls and other various things gargs drop.. so i quickly added him and returned his items which i could have kept and prob made a lil money off of but i felt if it was me i'd like him to return my items....

Wow, I have a different view on cyrano74. I asked him what cmb lvl he got his fire cape. He replied "go away noob, go kill yourself". I put him on ignore after that. He was probably being hassled by other people but saying that stuff, there's no excuse.

Gimme a break, but have people forgotten the noted ess/ store method? It's safe, relatively fast, and mad easy even for the lowest levels. People who abyss RC should expect the risks. That's all. It's why its in the bloody WILDY.
