February 12, 200719 yr The other day, I was joking around with an old friend of mine in the dual arena and after we got done, we went our seperate ways. About a half hour later, I was going through the wild on my way back from a clue when I saw that he was a high level and asked me if I had any law runes with me, so I gave him a few and he thanked me for it, then teleported out of there. Then afterwards, one of my rewards from the clue was 40 law runes, I think Karma has a funny way of repaying kindness to strangers. I've been known to give out full iron or even ranging armor along with a bow and some arrows. I don't always get a thank you but sometimes, I will get a thank you for all of it. February 12, 200719 yr Just something on rc pking mentioned in this thread: I don't understand the whole topic of "protecting runecrafters." Its not right to hate people who pk them. Why don't you hate mage bank pkers? Why are there no groups to protect people at the green dragons? Why is there no group to protect people doing clues? Why is there no team to protect people going to the KBD, or hunting the chaos elemental? Anyways runecraft pkers make it harder for people to runecraft, (don't blame them, its in the wilderness!!), so in turn the price of runes goes up. Back on topic...The nicest person I ever met is now my best friend in runescape. I was about level 90 and was looking for someone to help me with desert treasure. My friend, at that time level 97, agreed to help me with it. He came along with me for every stage of the quest, giving me helpful advice and items I needed for free. :D
February 12, 200719 yr Very nice of the guy, but if you're in wildy lvl 1+ you cannot blame a single soul for attacking you (not that you were, but many do). Regardless, if you seriously made thousands of natures, I'm sure you could have afforded another glory and dhide set (x 10). Gimme a break, but have people forgotten the noted ess/ store method? It's safe, relatively fast, and mad easy even for the lowest levels. People who abyss RC should expect the risks. That's all. It's why its in the bloody WILDY. Your's again, was not a rant, but a compliment, so again, kudos to the kind fellow who gave your stuff back. More should be like him, but if not, you shouldn't be upset... I consider myself an expert in the abyss, I have written a rather informative guide. That noting method I have found to be very slow, abyss will always be the fastest. I can do what I want. I can afford another d hide set and glory, it just takes an extra hour that I could spend getting an extra 200k. I have died only once before this incident via the abyss on my second ever trip, when I didn't take my one click teleport. Did I ever mention that I was mad at this pker for killing me? NO, I accepted it, I never blamed him for anything. I know the rules of the wilderness and don't need to be reminded. Obviously you didn't read the whole thing. This topic is about the kind person who gave me my items back. Please level up your reading skill. I did read the entire article, and the majority of my comments honestly were directed at the Tip community in general. It seems that a lot of folks that RC in the abyss spend a lot of time complaining about RC pkers as being scum. I was merely addressing that. And Laik is right... its the whole RS Karma thing... Not really "karma" but good enough term for it. If you are a nice person, you'll attract nice people to your friends list and keep them there. Just from meeting people from Tip.It that I really don't know, but know me from the board, this board itself has a huge amount of good, morale players. Not everyone is a slimeball in this game. I have people do nice things almost every day in Edgeville bank, W99. And I really don't believe its just because I'm well known on here, but more of a situation where people are good in general. I see random nice interactions everyday. (Except in W2 Fally Park. lol.) And thats very good to know. Great story, and I'm glad this wasn't moved to Blogscape. Its a good post to discuss the good things in RS when we tend to focus too much on the bad players. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! I have almost 200 people on my friends list...and I am reasonably sure that most of them would do nice things like that. I know I've tried to be that way... I was thinking about your thread tonight while doing my slayer task at the bloodvelds and a nice person flew into the room... I had to screenshot our conversation...He was so worried and trying so hard to find a person who had died going through the aberrant specters. It was odd that I was thinking about this thread when that happened... February 13, 200719 yr Though RC PKers are an unpleasant experience, in the long run it's for the best. I personally do not RC PK but imagine if no one did..Then everyone would runecraft without any fear at all! Meaning there would be an over abundance of nature runes! The markets will fall, natures would be incredibly cheap and runecrafting wouldn't even be worth it anymore. Everyone in RuneScape, good or not, does their part to positively affect the economy.

I'm not going to be stupid enough to pull a random number out of my [wagon] (62% of statistics are made up on the spot), but the community was better. Far from perfect, but nowhere near as bad as now. Actually, I will be stupid enough to pull a random number out of my [wagon]. :D If 20% of current players are "good" players and the remaining 80% are jerks, then I would have to guess that it was about 60-65% good players and the rest jerks back in early classic. The jerks are just less memorable because people tend to only remember the good stuff. :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3! I agree laik i met cyrano74 in the ghost ahoy city was one of the nicest high lvls i've ever met... talked to me we joked a lil bit... A few other high lvls i remember meeting that were extremely nice well this was in RSC Fist of God he's a cool and funny guy and S A X he's the same way...
