Woodcutting and Firemaking - 1 to 99 - The fast way

Featured Replies

Introduction

For all of my accounts (now 3!) I have always loved woodcutting. I always hated fletching, though. Making money off of WC has recently not been my top priority - I now fancy Firemaking just as well as Woodcutting. I devised a plan to get 99 woodcutting and firemaking without spending any money (except for axes). This guide will help you get two maxed out skills in only less than a few months - without spending any money.

ENJOY!

Starting Out [Levels 1-15]

Starting out is very easy and you will grow levels EXTREMELY fast. Go east of Lumbridge to the "goblin area" with a bronze/iron axe and a tinderbox. Cut the trees and when you get a full load of 26 logs, burn them. As you advance more and more levels, you will find that you can buy and use new axes. At level 6 woodcutting, buy a Steel Axe from bobs axe store.

NOTE: You will grow firemaking levels faster than woodcutting levels.

Oaks [Levels 15-30]

The experience flows here and is again, very easy to obtain high levels at a good speed. At level 21 woodcutting, buy a mithril axe. Repeat the same firemaking process; cut a full load and burn.

Onward [Levels 30-75]

The best woodcutting experience. Willows. At level 31, buy an adamant axe. The process now changes - cut a full load and bank your willows. At level 41, buy a rune axe. Keep cutting and banking willows until you reach 75 woodcutting (your firemaking should be in mid 30s because of burning norm/oak).

Dragon Axe [Levels 75-About 80]

Time to earn a dragon axe. This will give you the fastest possible woodcutting experience at willows. Go south of seers village to the sorcerers tower and cut 3.1k magic logs. Sell them for 3.1M gp. With the money, buy a dragon axe (If you cut all logs your woodcutting will be ABOUT 80).

Willows [Levels 80-90]

Cut willows until your woodcutting is 90 (Again... BANK your willows.). That's really all, lol.

Yews [Levels 90-99]

Cut yews until your woodcutting is 99. Bank the yews. CONGRATULATIONS ON 99 WOODCUTTING!

99 Firemaking

Not much to say. Burn the willows. Burn them all, even if you pass 60 firemaking. The extra experience is still nice. Burn all the yews until 99 Firemaking. CONGRATULATIONS ON 99 FIREMAKING!

I hope you enjoy my guide. Any questions, comments, concerns, queries, or 20 dollar bills are appreciated.

Wouldn't cutting magic logs at level 75 with a rune axe be a little slow? :-s

nice little guide

maybe add some pics and places where you can cut the best

Actually, the point of it is to buy a dragon axe. That is the fastest money you can get from woodcutting. Plus, it gives exp. If you have a fun time, it goes fast.

I was gonna say add a section that tells us what to do instead of watching our guy knock the life outta a tree. For example, explain the "fun time" more, I have trouble doing this myself.

This is a kind of weak guide 2/10 rating from me.

Rabbit`s food is a great way to subsidise your WC training with seeds and nests.

Cutting, banking, unbanking, burning takes longer than burning logs as you cut. In terms of actual speed to levelling banking your logs is pointless.

Nice guide 7/10, add some pics, more tips like where to chop, and where to burn and maybe other options

no offense but this guide just plainly sucks. 2/10 just for the effort. NOTHING new like all the otehr guides out there that got locked u didn't even botehr puting pictures or run a speel check. hmmm =D>

its a really short guide...pretty much an exact reworded copy of the tif wc/fm guide but worser. 5/10. and you should add some pictures

Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)

:-k I don't agree with some of that, with 90 wc you can get a magic log ever 0.2 sec. Thats a full load pretty fast, yews are faster but magics I think would give more exp in the long run.

this is like a piece of junk mail.....

Informative, but useless

you guys are mean

but i see where you are coming from

this is pretty much common knowlege but thanks for trying

run a speel check. hmmm =D>

Speel? You're the one who needs a spell check.

tifsbti6oi.gif

Nah, I dont see the point in banking willows and yews...

just cut and burn, cut and burn... although it can get really really monotonous...

A really good place to cut and burn willows is south port sarim. right north of the blurite caves.

5/10 for this guide.

I have always wondered if it costs extra to have more than 1 account

godsgrace73.png

Yer nice guide but this would only work bassicaly if you started with same woodcutting and firemaking personally im 81 woodcutting and only 50 firemaking feel my drift

Offtopic, but YES, if you want them as members, since each account is seperate - of course, you can "park" the ones you are not currently using in F2P, but only on a month by month switch.

mage logs are slow for their xp and money, my friend wced willows to 99, but i like yews better.

i dont thin it's really fast to get 3.1k mages with rune axe at 75 wc...

nowadays, there are too many lvl 85+ wc'ers so it will go very very very very very very very...etc. SLOW!!

it's best too just cut yews from 75 till like 85

then buy a d axe and then cut willows till 99

i got a f2p'er with 99 wc

so a tip for f2p'ers

stick to willows!!! there fast xp but no so good money

it has no use to cut yews with all the auto'ers...

Account created:2/01/'08 Months Played: 11!!

Check out my guide on getting 13m Exp!

autoers tend to be in varroc, and in woods, so chop in edge if u want to, or in the woods, by lady kellys or crafter, so u can kill autoers.

Maybe not burn the yews but sell them. Bigger money :)
