February 27, 200719 yr Thanks :) Sorry for my rude so quick repost. I suppose I was lonely trying to avoid getting work done in real life and going in off topic. My biggest pitfall is...preperation! It takes planning and preparation of food [Prep being getting it]. Ack, that's always been my cooking pitfall.
February 27, 200719 yr Hate to burst you bubble but Monkeys DO EAT MEAT heres some proof: http://press.princeton.edu/titles/6549.html Also humans are omnivores, which means that we eat both vegitables AND Meat thats why we have both sharp canine teeth and dull teath. If we were truly Herbavores then we would all have Flat dull teeth like a horse. The reason we probably has smaller canine teeth is because WE DONT NEED Huge ones any more so over time we lost them to the point that we can still eat the meet that we need. i have to agree its really just for nubs who don't use protectionnow thats funnyMy borrows blog!http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=603406&highlight=
February 27, 200719 yr Some people are just going to have to face that we were meant to eat meat AND plants. Just because that little piggie is cute doesn't mean we shouldn't eat him. And that's all it is..."Aww, but he's so cute...We shouldn't kill that..." No, shut up. Yes, we should. We shouldn't torture it to death, but removing it's head firmly from it's body and then making bacon isn't wrong. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
February 27, 200719 yr I rarely eat meat anyway and i have been thinking about become a vegetarian (not vegan, i like my tea and coffee too much) for quite a while. It seems to of had a positive effect on you so i may do a trail run and see how things go. Thank you for sharing how being a vegetarian has changed your life.
February 27, 200719 yr I've always been a meat eater my entire life. I love meat, I can't see anything wrong with eating meat whatsoever. I still like my different kinds of fruits and veges just the same as meat, but honestly I think a combo of veges and meat is a really good thing. Oh and please when your sharing your thoughts and facts about how not eating meat is so much better please leave out the useless information like that your 1-2 inches taller than your friends who eat meat, thats just putting yourself on a pedestal whether you mean to or not.
February 27, 200719 yr Good luck dude! I find it very difficult to even EAT vegetables >.< One day, I woke up thinking 'Let's make it a veggie-day today!'. My mum eventually found out about and immediately changed our menu into vegetables. I had to use the 'throw down the bin while she's not looking' method of eating for a whole week Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine...
February 27, 200719 yr I almost became vegatarian 5 times for moral reasons but i can't stay away from it. If i EVER saw a animal getting slaughtered for meat im pretty sure i would permanetly be (no one PM me videos of it kthxbai) Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

March 11, 200719 yr Good for you! When i was 11 yrs. old I gave up red meat for good, and ive lived without for one whole year. Not once have i regretted my decision. About a month ago i read a book about meat and how it effects people, it was so sad i actually cried. here are some facts the book stated that are true: -the meat industry is the secound biggest cause of enviromental damage in the U.S., secound only to travel - If humans chose to totally not eat meat, the world would hold up to 5 times more people (beacuse we wouldnt need as much room to grow food for livestock, house livestock, places for livestocks manure to go, etc) -almost half the water consumed in the U.S. is used to grow food for cattle and other livstock look at the amount of water it takes to produce one pound of vegtables compared to one pound of meat: -1 pound of lettuce: 23 gallons -1 pound of tamotoes: 23 gallons -1 pound of potatoes: 24 gallons -1 pound of wheat: 25 gallons -1 pound of carrots: 33 gallons -1 pound of apples: 49 gallons NOW FOR THE MEAT PART!!! PREPARE TO BE AMAZED! - 1 pound of pork:1630 gallons -1 pound of chicken: 815 gallons -1 pound of beef: 2500 to 500 gallons - it takes more water to feed a meat eater for one month then a vegatarian for a whole YEAR - Many people blame the farmers for this polution, truth is its not really there fault!! There are some small family owned farms still out there, but to be able to make a living, many farmers have to work for companies like TYSON. Where they provide the faculaties for the animals to live in while the big companies provide the animals by dropping new animals at the farm and picking the other ones up for slaughtering, etc. And That Is Just The Begging To The Many Horrifying Facts I Read In This Book!!! * *if u would like to know the books name pm me on tip.it *cough cough* They can't charge me for breaking into my own house *cough cough*
March 11, 200719 yr I know a kid who never touched a veggie/fruit and he's still in great shape (but he's a bit on the chubby side) and he's a great friend of mine.
March 11, 200719 yr Congrats! :D I dont think i could do it , due to the fact i love meat so much! :P
March 12, 200719 yr I have read the propaganda I have personally seen an animal getting slaughtered and it did not deter me. it was done in a humane way and was well reared by a farm that cares for its animals. Yes there are some barbaric ways of killing in the world often done by huge corporations such as KFC but there are laws in place to prevent such acts and these companies should be reported. that doesnt make the killing of animals for food inherantly bad. If you want to be a vegetatian then fair enough but many of the arguments against meat are incredibly flawed or just plain lies. I will continue to eat meat as it tastes good and gives me the nutrition i need to live a healthy life without the aid of pills and suppliments. p.s BBC Three is currently airing a TV show called Kill it, Cook it, Eat it. where they take an animal that has been reared from a respected farm. It is then humanely killed in a licensed slaughterhouse. The meat is then prepared by a professional butcher who explains the different cuts of meat and how you can tell if meat that you buy is from an animal that has been well cared for. Lastly the meat is cooked by a chef and then served to the audience in a studio kitted out to look like a restaurant . Everything is broadcast on TV with no censorship. The health benefits of eating meat as part of a balanced diet is very clear and if the animal has been reared well and humanely killed then there is absolutly no reason why I should not eat it. March 14, 200719 yr I'm a partial vegetarian, i basically only eat turkey on rare occasions. I feel so terrible for the animals, and what we do to them. Ive been cutting down on meat for a few months now, i hope to eliminate it completely soon. Ive noticed im in better moods as well since this started
March 14, 200719 yr - If humans chose to totally not eat meat, the world would hold up to 5 times more people (beacuse we wouldnt need as much room to grow food for livestock, house livestock, places for livestocks manure to go, etc) So what do you propose we do with all the extra animals then? Oh, wait, I know! kill them.

Oh, wait, I know! kill them. Well duh. The answer is obvious. We must kill all animals on the farms and keep animal population growth very limited. Oh wait...wouldn't that also be considered cruel or w/e.

Oh damn, now the problem is back again. \ We could eat the meat or just waste it and let bacteria take a long time to decompose millions, possibly billions of animals.
March 14, 200719 yr Eating food is sooo 20th century. I get all of my nutrients in pill form. I haven't eaten solid food in almost a year. I know the price. I pay it gladly.

I get all of my nutrients in pill form. I haven't eaten solid food in almost a year. Even though sarcasm was intended, in the near future we should see "meal pills" coming, checkout some of the superfood energy bars and whatnot, those already can have almost everything that you need in a meal. On a different note, 6 weeks!
March 15, 200719 yr So what would you say is the most effective way to get full? By that, I mean, could you list on an average day what you do eat? I'd consider trying out being a vegetarian but I'd just see myself like starving all the time because meat's really the only thing that fills me up. Having fruits/celery/grains for dinner just doesn't cut it for me usually.
March 15, 200719 yr Honestly, we are omnivores, and we are supposed to eat meat and vegetables. It's OK to have burgers, but its also ok to eat brocoli. I mean, mo offence, but vegetariasm is a litle far-fetched. Look at our teeth, why do you think god/allah/mother nature made them that way? Because were omnivores! A healthy diet includes veggies and meat, a healthy portoin of both. And about the animal thing, you know al those animal protection agencies often kill the animals? Right? You know, most of the time when animals are slaguhtered for food, it is done in a humane way, god/allah/mother nature made certain animal meaty because their meant for omnivores/carnivores to eat. If the whole world was a veggie planet, we'ed basiclly be killing the envoirment even more. We'ed have to get rid of herbivores because they take up too muhc space as you said, basiclly making al carnivores exctinct. Look at our world then. Plants would slowly dwindle as we evolved into herbivores, and then the world would be a barren wastle land. Think it would be "envoirmentally freindly" then? I advise not being vegitarian, maybve at least eat 20% of your day as meat, or try things like meats 'n veggies salads, ect., but don't go straight veggitarian. And what you say about fish, if yu were so attached to them, you'd realize, their just fish. I doubt you bond to every fish in the seam but if you did, you'd realize, why their there. You know food chains? thats basiclly how the world runs. Get rid of one [weakness] in the chain, and watch it break apart. Going for 2.4 bil cabbage, plz donatecurrently at 120 cabbage =/

What do we do about the millions or billions of animals that are already here? I know let's eat them..., or let them feast on our food(aka screw us over while we are trying to build a world of only vegetarians), or let them all starve to death, or kill all of them. Wow, many of those methods sound cruel anyways.
