March 5, 200719 yr I will not live in parts of Africa because of Aids. RSN: Zammyftw ^^The girl that ruined music.
March 5, 200719 yr I will not live in parts of Africa because of Aids. You do realize that you can't catch AIDS unless your bodily fluids touch their bodily fluids right? Like really, there is no danger to live there as long as your smart... im level 76 and IM NOT A NOOB 30- is a noob

March 5, 200719 yr Author I take offense to that. I bet you haven't even been in Eastern Europe. And you're already knocking it? That's about half the posts here... Besides, when I think of Eastern Europe, I just recall the Romania from a South Park episode... and well, Russia. It's like a barren wasteland. I wouldn't live in Africa because of the danger involved and the not as up to date technology. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

March 5, 200719 yr anywhere in eastern europe: do i need to say much? its like going into a gypsy village everywhere! I take offense to that. I bet you haven't even been in Eastern Europe. And you're already knocking it? I think that's the point of this thread. All of the people saying America is a nation of fat Christian extremist KKK rednecks have obviously never been here. My friend has been to Russia, however. It's beautiful, but still just devestated from the Collapse. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

A few countries like Romania and Slovakia are still rebuilding, but nonetheless they're still stable. Some, like the Czech Republic, are beyond stable and prospering. Me doing staff.
March 5, 200719 yr Agreed. There are many nice places to live in Africa. Actually you're wrong. South Africa has one of the worst Crime Rates in the entire world. If you're a woman and your car breaks down on the side of the road, you're lucky if you don't get raped and killed. I have best friends that lived there and moved up to America because of it. Shake off the dust... arise.

In places like Cape Town? You can go anywhere in the world and find a place like that. I can understand if they lived far from the coast, but the old cities are pretty decent, especially Cape Town. March 5, 200719 yr I'm not sure exactly where they are from, but she told me that the goverment is just getting worse with segregation and tons of terrible political issues. I know she is very wealthy, and she lived in a nice part of South Africa. So if the nice parts are bad then I mean... It just doesn't seem like it would be a 'good' place to live. Shake off the dust... arise.
March 5, 200719 yr I am sorry, but ignorant stuff like this makes me forget your post. You either come from a nation where you have no concept of US politics, or you are a really young person. I have a right to express my opinion, and so does everybody else. Bush has served twice, he can't be elected again. Ever. We did not invade Iraq for fuels, seeing as how fuel prices here are starting again to move to all-time highs. Oh, what did USA invade Iraq for then? Osama bin laden isn't from Iraq, he was born in Saudi Arabia, so what is the point of invading a tiny middle east country then? Psst, I'll explain why. I don't know what they have told you, but you should know that whoever is in charge on fuel, has the power. There was no way USA would let Iraq get rich and get power, so after Iraq found out it has a lot of fuel underneath it, USA invaded using the old "we are killing the terrorists" excuse. I'm also going to make a very accurate prediction of how long soldiers will stay there. How long? As long as there is enough fuel to keep it profitable. And don't call me ignorant, many, many Americans think the same. The average American's life has changed diddly-squat over the past 20 years, no matter who the President was. You say that all Americans are obese? That is morbidly gross stereotyping. I frequently fast in prayer for people around the world who can't eat, and our family donates hundreds of dollars that feed thousands. Stereotyping? One of three is overweight. That is pretty much all I have to say. Oh, and here is the link. http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/o/overweight/stats.htm And Bush did not call everyone in the Middle East a terrorist. If he did, we would have the world's largest Jihad on our hands. That sounds like something an ignorant person would say. Looking back 6 months ago, I've seen a news report where I've HEARD him say that, that was on some conference. Then after about 3 days he made an apology since no one in the Middle East liked that comment, obviously. I am sorry to go off topic, but ignorant people bother me too. Isn't this whole thread full of ignorance then? :-s People write they wouldn't live here and there, but most of them never were even close to those countries? The only exceptions are those people who write about their own countries. Russia is a dangerous place to live because of the collapse of the USSR. There are WELL documented incidents involving foreign tourists being killed for their belongings. Eventually they will be able to pick up the mess that Yeltsin screwed them with, but it won't be soon. Foreign tourists were also killed in Mexico, South Africa, and the list goes on. I'm not saying that Russia is perfect, the fact is, it's not. But what disgusts me is that "In Russia you will get shot for your shoes" statement which is very, very incorrect. It got me writing in the first place.
March 5, 200719 yr to the person above ^^ Everyone in the world has known that Iraq has one of the biggest oil supplies in the world for about 100 years. It isnt new news. One of 3 people being overweight isn't true for one. Actually, it depends on how you define overweight. If you define over weight by having visible excess body fat, then less than 1% of people in america will have it 485th person to ever play RuneScapeBlue107- perm banned 10/12/2007. $300 USD reward if you can get me in contact with someone who will take 5 seconds to look at evidence and get my original character unbanned.

March 5, 200719 yr I calculated my BMI at deathclock.com ... I'm at 20something. But. I wouldn't live in Gary, IN and you wouldn't either. That city smells awful. Everytime I pass those flaming towers I'm just completely in awe going "OH MY GOD THE CITY IS ON FIRE" ANOTHER QUALITY POST BY JAKE. :funone: jake on last.fm

A built 6'-tall person weighing 200 would be considered overweight. Yeah, BMI is far from the best method to assess health. It doesn't take into account fat mass, or muscle mass, so a body builder would be classed as obese, where as a leaner person with a huge percentage body fat would be considered healthy. March 5, 200719 yr Thank-you for the generalized insult. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
March 5, 200719 yr Not to fuel the fire, but I really wouldn't want to live in the USA. Because a semblance of democracy in my mind is even worse than an overt lack of it. Apart from that, I'd hate to live in a country at war. Dictatorships are awful, but I'd rather live in an open dictatorship than in a covert one. At least I wouldn't be lulled to sleep and actually try to escape or something. The American voting system, the two party system and the amount of cash needed by a presidential candidate make it extremely hard to get a president who excels in integrity and independence. Religion and economy are just too mixed up with politics to speak of a true democracy (in so far one can ever speak of "true" democracy obviously). It scares me. P.S. As for the obesity issue: I've read several articles regarding the incline in obesity in Europe, so it's not an American thing. It's a general problem in all the Western countries. There are more children with weight troubles, women's breasts are going to extreme cup sizes (which means the other areas of their bodies are getting fatter as well)... It's all over the news these days. Even though we have all this money, we don't invest in healthy food patterns.
March 5, 200719 yr Sumpta, you don't even notice the war to be honest. It's hardly a total war. And don't worry about Bush. He has less than a year to go. If he tried anything, he'd be in prison before he could finish saying the word "coup." The Checks and Balances system we have here will stop a dictatorship from forming. Combine that with 49 Reps, 49 Dems, and 1 Ind who votes left in the Senate and a Dem majority in the House and he won't be able to pull off anything they don't like. Rodl, 1 in 3 Americans is overweight. I can buy that. But not obese. I personally am 60 pounds overweight for my age/height, but 40 of that is muscle in my legs. I look that 20 pounds overweight, but hardly anyone notices. Obese in our eyes is so fat that you have difficulties MOVING. Satenza, your worried about that? What about the generalized insult he was responding to? Rodl, I was responding to that as much as you "know" about US politics, you don't even realize the fundamental concepts of our checks and balances, one of which is the two-term limit. Anyone who thinks Bush is going to turn into High Chancellor Sutton or some movie garbage is just grossly mistaken in my book. And Iraq doesn't have gross supplies of oil, that's Kuwait. Iraq is just a processing site. I mean, let's invade Texas City! It actually refines more crude than Iraq does! And it's a freaking city, when Iraq is an entire nation. And yes, this thread is full of stereotypes and gross generalizations. Feel free to defend whatever country you wish. I personally am standing for my home, and the ridiculous allegations thrown about it. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
March 5, 200719 yr I will not live in Vermont, USA because of the very weak child predator laws there. They let a violent child molester who horribly molested a 4-year old and killed his wife with a screw driver (I think it was a screw driver) he's walking on the streets of VT to this day. We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way. Please don't elect this man for president in 2012
