March 7, 200719 yr I'm just a bit curious on 1 thing. Everyone is trying to find Noahs Ark. Yet, why do they believe it was 100% preserved 4 to 6 thousand years down the road later? Honestly, if you think about it.. I think some termites got ahold of it. Seeing it was made purely out of wood and some tar, I'm sure it is long gone by now.. yet people are still looking for it? On top of that, the story itself never happened, either. If the world flooded, the atmospheric pressure would crush your lungs and you'd drown from the vapor in the air...So...Yea, impossible. Not to mention there isn't and has never been that much water on the Earth, lol. FYI: I heard wood can petrify into stone within 14 years if it has a constant water flow...That's what they're finding is petrified wood, they're not finding, like...Actual wood. And yes it was supernatural. But what might've actually happened is this: Not too long after humans started communicating verbally or through pictures, a big human encampment was flooded. A few humans there had boats, so they put as many domesticated animals and humans as they could on those few boats. Either the village and its surrounding area was covered by water for a few days, or one or more boats got pulled by the currents towards an ocean/sea (therefore, this might've happened in the Nile or Yangtze delta, or, if the mount Ararat is really where the ark stopped is true (which it probably isn't since it would take a whole lot of water to get the water level that high), maybe even Turkey or East Africa (the Nile would still work, but this would mean that most of the animals were eaten)). This story was then retold every generation, of course with slight exaggerations. These humans then conquered all the other groups of humans in their vicinity, and therefore the story spread. Afterwards, the story-believers traded and colonized. That's why a lot of cultures have different versions of this story. I don't really think that the boat stopped at Mount Ararat. So this probably occurred in the Nile, Danube (forgot that in original post), or one of the big Chinese rivers delta. (Might also be Amazon delta but that contradicts currently approved scientific theories...)
