THE NOOB-TIONARY

The Noob-tionary is a Compilation of the many different ways and meanings of the word noob and its many chameleon and ultimately stupid forms. I have compiled a list of evry act of Idiocy I've heard told, into one great tome of pure stupidness.

notes:

All entries must contain the word "Noob" or a derivative of the word "Noob",

entrys must be either one word or a short phrase.

if you have anything to add to this compilation or corrections to entries then please post them as a reply to this topic.

antagonist: insulter, bad guy

protagonist: insultee, good guy, not to be confused with "Dragon".

No flaming the replies, if you don't agree with me, then tough.

Key:

Bold text: the word or short phrase its self

italic text: the type of word this is, either noun or pronoun or one of the others, i have no idea about the difference between them, so they are more that likely incorrect.

Normal text: the meaning or the word/short phrase

[bracketed text]: the word/ words the noob-word is derived from and/ or country of origin

A

Auto Noob: Used it a wide variety of situations, an auto noob is best described as any one who is a faster clicker that the antagonist and therefore, must be using an illegal addition to the game to gain them such a quick draw advantage, or alternatively any one mining with public chat 'off'. the antagonist then cleverly decides to tell all in the surrounding area to report the protagonist, only to look very stupid whet the "autoer" runs off to the nearest bank. see also, mining noob.

B

Beggar noob: This term is often used by the antagonist to describe anyone who has asked them to raise the amount of money/items in a trade due to the the fact that four cabbages and a kebab is just not enough to purchase them a dragon chain mail body.

C

Castlewars noob: Often used by Antagonists to show their displeasure at meeting some one with a better win to loose ratio at castlewars that them selves. Other insults of this kind include "Castlewars addict" and "Its only Adamant"

Cheating noob: Here the Protragonist is being accused of cheating, there are many different reasons this can happen but predominantly the antagonist;

A) Has a stock of food in his or her inventory

B) Can Teleport

C) Has a higher combat level.

Choob: This Implies that the antagonist has the intelligence of a door knob, and that he may as well turn round and call him self names. See also, noob, stupid noob and Nub

Root: Choobaxor, pun on chewbacca.

creator:circa 2001, Greg Echidna (GregEchidna6) and Numb22

source: GregEchidna, tip.it forums, 2006

Choobaxor, also Ch00bax0r: Noun Displaying inteligence never believed possible the protagonist undertakes wordplay utilising a mixture of a number of words, two of which are over 4 letters long! the endresult is a word which implies the antagonists is not only a noob that hacks runescape, But that they are also big, and hairy!

[Derived from Noob runescapian, Haxor stupid word and Chewbacca steven-spielbergish]

Root: chewbacca, noob, haxor (hacker).

creator:circa 2001, Greg Echidna (GregEchidna6) and Numb22

source: GregEchidna, tip.it forums, 2006

D

Defense noob: This implies the the protagonist has trained his or her defense to a level unacceptable to the antagonist, most likely to a level of 3 or even 4. This many also be found as the answer to the question, "what are you training there, with that Granite maul?"

E

F

Food Noob: This is often used by the antagonist when the protagonist eats some of the food they were clever enough to bring into the combat area with them, for the sole purpose of helping them self to not die.

Froob: See Choob

EDIT : By-passing censor/vulgar language not allowable~ QueenValerieThis implies that the protagonist is either taking part in sexual intercourse whilst playing runescape or that the antagonist has a very foul mouth. Any one using this phrase should be reported at once

G

Get-of-my-rock-noob: this term is often used by the antagonist when he approaches a rock currently being mined by the protagonist, and after finding he cannot 'steal' the rock from the protagonist due to his vastly inferior mining level, he attempts to lay claim to the rock as his own, also known as whining.

H

I

I have a Main, Noob: scentence

[1] Often used as a poor excuse for the protagonists current low levels. Not that the antagonist tried to insult their levels in any way, the protagonist just found the need to share that "fact" with us.

[2] EDIT : By-passing censor/vulgar language~Q.V.

J

K

Kill-stealing Noob: this implys that whilst happy to sit back and let another player do half of the work, the antagonist becomes unhappy by the fact that his helper has infact managed to do more than half of the work and therefore is rewarded for this by recieving first refusal over the drop and/or death pile.

L

little noob: this implies that the protragonist is short in stature whether due to age or medical reasons. in the case of the latter the situation should be explained to the antagonist, to make him feel bad.

Lol, Noob: Often used to imply that the protagonist has just said something that the antagonist finds humerous because they believe the protragonist to have said something stupid. However it i more likely that the protagonist has just called the antagonist something cleverly insulting and that the antagonist has simply not noticed.

Loob: used by the protagonist when calling for an implement to aid him in his new bout of rule breaking, a pastime that he him self describes as "cyber sexing". Obviously Harakoni does not condone this type of on line behaviour. However he was in need of a statement that was at the same time witty, satirical and tongue-in-cheek, in short, he simply had to.

M

Mining noob: This implies that the Protragonist in question has a higher mining level than that of the antagonist.

N

Noob: Noun Many runescape players consider "noob" to be a made up insult with no true meaning, however in the dark and dusty reaches of a Google search the meaning came to me in a stroke of inspirational clicking, it went something like this, "A 'noob' is best described as a member of the runescape community who spends a great deal of his or her time calling other fellow players 'noobs' and/or swearing at them most true noobs are either reported out of the game with in a short period of time or are members of the rune HQ community"

N00b: Noun in using this derivative of the word noob the antagonist proves to us one of three things: A) the antagonist has bad grammar. B) The Antagonist cannot tell the difference between the 'O' and '0' keys on their keyboard. C) The Antagonist is scared of the 'O' key and believes it possessed. See also, Noob.

Neeb: by Choosing to use this alternative to the word "Noob" the antagonist in question is openly showing us all that hes has not yet hit puberty.

Newb: Non-derogative. alternative spelling to the word "Newbie"

See also Newbie.

Newbie: Noun Non-derogatory. This word is general considered the politically correct way of describing a player new to the game or to describe a newly created second account. a 'Noob' and a 'Newbie' are not the same thing. see 'Noob' description.

No-items noob: This implies that the protagonist has not, infact, brought along their set of full dragon armour in order to craft thirty-eight nature runes.

Nob: Noun A typical misspelling of the word 'Noob', this word is not filtered by jagex' filters and therefore may be deeply harmful to younger players. however people using it in an intentional and/or insulting way should be immediately reported for the safety of younger runescape players. See also, Noob.

Noobette: implying, of course that the antagonist is female and a "Noob". The former is sometimes a correct identification of gender. However, most protragonists are socially inept and do not posses the social skills required for gender distinction.

Noobiest: Adjective This implies that, unlike the protagonist, you of all people are the ultimate in high noobiness.

Noobilies: No idea possibly derived from the slang word "heebiejeebies" making it a plural-noun. however taking into consideration the inteligence of the modern-day protagonist it is more likely that it became a staple of neo-protagonistic conversation because it makes a funny noise in ones head when read-back.

Noobiness noun Noobiness describes the state and 'level' or the protagonist's noob like behavior.

Noobisms: also Noobism. adding the suffix -ism to ther word noob widens the protagonists vocabulary to the next level with its near infinite meanings.

[1] Social Theory. The developing theory of Noobism involves sharing the "Nooobiness" of one population equally effectively ensuring that all within are of equal "noobishness" negating the need for different clsses of "Noob". [derived]

Nooblesness; contrary to popular, belief this derivative of the word noob actually implies that the the protagonist is un-nooby and there fore should have nothing to wory about

Nooblet: This implies that the proragonist is either young, of low level or 'Cute'

[Derived from the words Noob Runescapian and Toilet French: to excrete]

Noob, lol: often used by an antagonist who sees it as his given duty toadd "lol" to the end of each and every sentence they type thereby giving the impression to all around them that they find them self ecstaticaly funny. Also, more often that not, the antagonist is not infact laughing out loud at all and neither is any one else in the vicinity.

Noobster: This implies that the Protragonist is question is a noob, the antagonist has then smartly added a suffix to the word, to make him self sound even smarter.

Noob-tionary: also Noobtionary Noun Popular belief places the name of this unholy Tome as the singular socially acceptable use of the term "Noob" in intelectual conversation.

Noob-tionary, (you little): Noun Recently the name of this fine collection of highly important records has been given a second meaning by the illiterate masses.

Any protagonistic use of the word must of course be delt with immediately. Firstly the mistake should be calmly explained to the mislead soul, so that they are fully aware of the reason you then begin lauging at them, loudly.

Noobwars: An unarguably intellectual feat of word play on the term "Castle wars". Often used to describe a battle between two comparatively low-leveled factions in the wilderness.

Nooby-wan-kenobi also Obi-wan-kenoobi:The use of this insult shows that the antagonist is both very bad at insults and an avid starwars fan.

Noooooooooooooob: This, simply speaks for its self.

Noowbee By using this derivative, the antagonist is displaying his or her heavy Scottish Accent.

Nqqb also NQQb: This implies that the Antagonist is either unsure of the filterability of the word noob, gets confused by the round symbols on his or her key board or the key board in question is, infact, broken. See also, Noob and N00b

Nub: Here the antagonist is proving hes had lower than average inteligence as he cannot even spell his insults correctly. See also, Noob and Choob

NUber Born from the coupling of the words "Nub" and "Uber" this clever little phrase takes some working out on the antagonists behalf. It is often used by the Protragonist to prove their inteligence to the Antagonist who, after eventually looking for some deeper meaning that may have caused the hilarity of the protragonist decides that the only possible meaning of the word just isnt funny.

[Derived from Nub typo and Uber german: fat]

Nubcake: I have absolutely NO idea what the hell this is supposed to mean

O

Oi, Noob: used by the antagonist if the protragonist inquestion is either hard of hearing or had just stolen something, therefore becoming the antogonist themselves.

P

Pet noob: derogatory term for a 'runner' or slave to the antagonist

P.K.'er noob A term often hear used by a lowly antagonist who has decided to take a stroll through the wilderness, only to be surprised when set upon by the protagonist going about his daily work.

Potting noob: often used by protragonists who find upon attacking a player a few levels below them that their potion bonuses have expired yet their victims are still in action. See also, Cheating noob

Prayer noob: often used by antagonists in the wilderness attempting to 'pk' a low level protragonist carrying nothing but a clue scroll and attempting to defend them selves by rightfull means from an excedingly stupid 'pker'.

Q

qoou: Often used by the antagonist in a case where they are being strung up by their ankles and/or nailed to an inverted cross. (a little hint:you need to be upside down to read it). See also, Noob.

R

Reported, Noob:often used by the antagonist after reporting the protragonist for a minor/nonexistent infringement of the rules, eg. the protragonist says "is that it" where the last 3 letters of the word are filtered.

Reporter noob:most often used by the antagonist in reply to the protagonist saying "Reported : )" after being swore at for 4 minutes strait for having a higher mining level (see Mining Noob also get-of-my-rock-noob)

S

Stupid noob: This is often used to imply that the protragonist has a lower inteligence quota (i.q.) than that of the antagonist. If you find you self being insulted in this way, refer the antagonist to this Noob-tionary and say no more.

Switching noob often used by the protragonist to voice their frustration upon finding that their opponent owns two sets of armour. see also Cheating noob.

T

Tele noob: Implies that the protragonist in question watches a copious amount of television, see also teleport noob.

Teleport noob: used to describe a protragonist who watches coious ammounds of television, in the area of a dock, quay or similar. Also a member of the rune scape community who uses a skill they have aquired to leave the scene of a combat in level 20 or lower wilderness in order to protect them selves or the large ammount of expensive items they are carying.

Tellytubby noob: an implies that the antagonist is an avid fan of the childrens T.V. show, the teletubby's. It also proves that the antagonist is an extremely stupid 3 year old, who hates teleporters. see also Teleport noob.

Training noob: This implies that the Protagonist Trains their skills. Unlike the Antagonist, who prefers to wait for genies to appear.

Tunnel Noob: The antagonist in question is deemed a "tunnel noob" in the event that, god forbid, they make copious use of game winning statagem during a castle wars session. The protagonist is most unhappy with this as they didnt think to do it first.

U

Uber noob: Implies that the protragonist is either a 'very big noob' or, clinicaly obese.

[Derived from Uber german: fat]

Un-nooby: this implys that the protagonist is in fact not a 'noob' at all. Often used by the antagonist to describe them selves and/or their higher level 'friends' when they are in deep wilderness

V

Very big noob: see Noob and after "also" in Tellytubby Noob

W

wanna-be-noob: Often used by the antagonist to imply that the protagonist (usualy of a high level) is wearing a set of full bronze armour in order to disguise them selves as a new comer to the game, where as infact the protagonist in question is setting out to a bronze war, fun event of some kind, is an attack and/or strength pure or simply hasn't noticed they are still wearing bronze armour.

X

Y

You Noob: often used to imply that it is the protragonist that is that noob in a given situation, rather that the antagonist them self.

Z

Zezima's a noob often used by antagonists who cannot forge a reputation of their own so try to destroy other's. reasons for zezimas noobiness inculde; the fact that zezima has no skills at rank one; the fact that zezima cheats; and, of course, the fact that zezima doesn't realy exist...

Can I make an addition?

Program noob-the antagonist accuses the protragonist of being a "program noob" when the protragonist repeatedly kills a monster of limited quantity in a certain area. This results in the antagonist thinking that the protragonist uses an illegal program to get kills, when really they are just faster clickers.

add autoing noob.

autoing noob: the antagonist accuses the protragonist of being a "autoing noob" when the protragonist is a level 3 combat and a higher skilled player, such as mining, woodcutting, etc. This results in the antagonist thinking that the protragonist uses an illegal program to get material when really they have better levels then the anatagonist.

Teleport noob: used to describe a protragonist who watches coious ammounds of television, in the area of a dock, quay or similar. also a member of the rune scape community who uses a skill they have aquired to leave the scene of a combat in level 18 (i believe) or lower wilderness.

Its actually level 20 wilderness for magic teleporting. Up to 30 wilderness with an amulet of glory.

I'd like to make an addition. One Droob and Dr00b a dumb reporting noob who says stuff like "Phr33 $t00f pl0x 0r 1ll r3p0rt y0u" Or a dumb reporter who reports a noob who is simply asking a question ad is reported because the filter blocks it for some reason. Oh and d00b a delusional (sp?) noob who calls others a noob when he in reality is a noob. Also Z00b a noob who follows around zezima or other high lv players for free stuff or to be their friend for the reason of getting free stuff or bragging about it.
