Who
I know it's not just me, because there are many topics on the official forums about this. When the game first came out, the top was easy to get, but the boots were impossible. When Jagex fixed this, the boots drop 50% of the time, but the top rarely drops anymore. Some things I have concluded: - No certain combination will always get you a Lumberjack Event. It's all random. - When you do get a Lumberjack Event, when you get a piece of Lumberjack, no other pieces will drop, you will have to get another event. - Waiting for Lumberjacks to respawn won't work, unless you haven't gotten a piece of Lumberjack yet. Theories: - Smiddi Ryak and Woman at arms are the best to choose when trying to get a Lumberjack event. There is no proof that a specific person will trigger a certain event more. Like everything in this game, it's all random. - Route 1 is the best for getting Lumberjack events. This theory is more believable, seeing as you encounter more events by taking the slowest route, thus increasing your chances. - Only Undead Lumberjacks that are wearing complete shirts will drop the Top. This is a theory I came up with. I believe so because all the drops I'm getting are from the Undead Lumberjacks wearing ripped shirts. I am testing this right now, but so far results are negative. I have been here for about 2 days, no luck with the top. Anyone else get it? Michael
You taking 2 days to collect the set, and yet you still do not have the full set makes me even more certain that the exp bonuses the full set are not worth the time to aquire the full set as it takes too long to get all the pieces thus loosing you exp in woodcutting. Although if you want to set to complete your house then it's fine, but for the reasons of extra woodcutting exp to get to 99 it does not help you. Darkluniux
Interesting... I was temple trkking today and in both events i get Lumberjack rewards, I used Woman-at-arms and an Old man. I just got Hat and boots, by the way, I just use the first and third route. http://darkluniux.blogspot.comBehold my blog! Thou shalt visit it and rejoice! la la la
You make us happy manoman. Is this obtained during temple trekking, burgh de rott ramble, or both?

Jys
2 days?!?! Well, that lowered my self-estime for getting full umberjack, ='( Oh, and manoman, thanks for the clove of garlic, but runehq lied! It said to make a guthix balance for it will help when escorting Ivan, but it doesn't help, since you can use the rod that holds the vampires! Tip.it:1 Me: 1 Runehq: 0!!!! O_Qp
Route 1 is the best route to get Lumberjack stuff because you can evade enemies. In Route 2 and 3, you must defeat at least half the enemies, which takes time, teleport out (poor adventurers), or walk through Mort Myre. I believe Route 1 also does not have the Tentacle thing, and that takes way too long to load or kill. I also used the weakest people because I would get better rewards at the end. P.S. How do you give food to the person? 228/228 Qp
oddfaery2
Something is definitely going on with the shirt. I got all the pieces except boots the first night, with a few extra hats stocked up before I finally got a shirt. I figured I'd stop then since boots were going to come out after the glitch was fixed. So I continued the next day and got boots, then tried to get a second shirt... wasted way too much time on it and now have 10-15 each of hats and boots, and 5 trousers... but no second shirt =\ Proud to have gotten 1800 skill total before access to fishing guild Why make a house when you can rob one? la la la
That's funny, because I have 1 of everything, but 2 shirts. The xp bonuses are not too good (+2 xp per willow), so I think these will find a nice little spot in my bank.
inferno_char
The odds of the event are pretty much the same whatever. Before the fix I got 2 hats, after the fix I got 2 boots, a top, and legs. I dont think there is any mystery behind it, some people just have better luck than others.
Aidos Drakon
Has anyone made a guide for the burgh de rott ramble? If so I would appreciate a link to it. I am still scratching my head about two different bridge events. What is the difference between the one with a tree and the one without? People who ask our advice almost never take it. Yet we should never refuse to give it, upon request, for it often helps us to see our own way more clearly.--Brendan Francis

KingKnight1
I got the shirt, then boots then hat. Trying for the pants right now. I tried logging out when I got a piece of clothing then logging in, but they kept dropping planks.
la la la
In case you haven't figured, Burgh de rott ramble is the same thing as temple trekking, only backwards. They give the same rewards and have the same events. Also, I find the minigame strangely fun :-k

KingKnight1
I've tried escorting Smiddi Ryak and the Woman-at-Arms (as manoman suggested) and used the easiest route, and got 2 lumberjack events within an hour or half. I also got a clue scroll Rod of Ivandis + Guthix Balance  Although I don't know what level it is, until I see the reward. Probably level one. This game is fun for me, probably my favorite. EDIT: Anyone found a use for giant snail shells yet?
hellbellz
Gosh, don't remind me on the recent updates forum, on how many people posted "Omg wherz da b00ts!11 I hat joo Jagex giv my bots bck!". Goodluck with getting the top. I'm sure the suit looks nice and gives good extra ExP

Aidos Drakon
After a whole day trying, I have 4 hats and 3 boots, 0 pants, 0 tops. I used only route one and every person primarily the old dude and woman-at- arms or forester. I wonder if I need to do another route to get the other pieces. :-k People who ask our advice almost never take it. Blade_Moon1
is it possible to do the event if u didnt bring a knife, can u get one at the event? Some are addiced to illegal drugs. Me? Im addiced to CHEESE Wisdom is POWER
KingKnight1
No, but a knife isn't necessary. Everything you need is supplied. Unless you mean the one with the vines and making rope for jumping a gap, then yeah a knife is supplied. I haven't gotten some Lumberjack pants, its been many hours trying to get one. Its hard enough actually getting the event, and its a major disapointment to see that it has trees and not the undead lumberjacks. The EXP bonus is NOT WORTH IT for such hard work. Will H
I thought that the luberjack clothing is really a one off extra reward. Why are people doing this with the view that the lumberjack clothing is the primary reward? Surely during your time trying to get these clothes you have gotton a hell of a lot of good stuff? ~ W ~
