  1. Thankfully, I'm past the addicted phase. Now I mostly play because my friends and clan mates are still there. :
  2. While looking at the first couple of pages of this topic I couldn't help but notice how many players stated that they "could not see any reason why this would be F2P". Lo and behold, the Lumbridge Achievement Diary is available to freeplay! (meaning I was right all along) Most members hate it when F2P gets updates, and start the traditional "they don't pay" rants. While true, Jagex would be within its rights to have kept F2P as primitive as the RSC game engine, members fail to see that Jagex does so because it helps attract more players to members, and Jagex is after all a for-profit organization.
  3. I'm pretty much indifferent about this rule. If I find out someone is account sharing I couldn't care less. And I don't see any harm if say, my friend comes over while I'm playing a mini-game and he asks me if he can try it out while I sit next to him and tell him how it's played. I don't know about you but I'm not too fond about the IP tracker. Sure, it could be useful to find out if someone else has been on your account without your knowledge, but consider the following: I am going to be attending university next semester, so I'll be far away from my home and be using a different computer with a different IP. Does that mean that when Jagex compares the IP logs from my account I should be banned?
  4. It's not hard to check to see if a new poll is up. ;) But when Jagex made some polls available to F2P players to vote on, they stated that only members will be able to vote on polls that directly affect the game content. And now we see a Guaranteed Poll for the Christmas event that F2P can vote on. :-k
  5. Dang, I'm going to miss the old Tutorial Island... I used to create new accounts just so I can do the Tutorial again and reminisce the old days. :P And they finally finished with the nuts and bolts of the Item Lending system, and a new and organized bank too! :D As for the Achievement Diary, I have a hunch they're considering making this one F2P. It is obviously for low level players, since it has Beginner tasks instead of Hard tasks and it is in Lumbridge nonetheless. I guess they finally decided to give F2P a taste of Achievement Diaries like they did with quests.
  6. Expanding the Highscores to 2 million is totally unnecessary. If they want to do something for those hard-to-get-ranked skills such as Strength or Woodcutting then why not divide the Highscores into F2P and P2P categories? If an account is 100% F2P it would be listed on the F2P Highscores, and if an account is a current/former member it would be listed on the P2P Highscores. The P2P Highscores would list all skills present in the game and the F2P Highscores would only list non-members skills. I believe this could work.
  7. Must... bump... Swedishboy's blog... *pant* =D>
  8. Wow, it's only been up for a few minutes and the servers have already been taken offline. Well from what I could see it seems nice to look at, but seriously buggy. The two old detail modes have been merged into one, and it seems to be more of a mini version of the HD Runescape than the two older detail modes. Now that graphics have been taken care of, I hope they'll start to focus more on... Ah, it's bloody obvious what I'm about to say so you guys pretend like I posted it.
  9. I remember I was so excited to have found a mining location (the one south-east of Varrock). Back then I had thought all mines were subterranean like the one on Tutorial Island... I would spend days getting a full inventory of copper and tin, smelt them into bronze bars, smith them into whatever I could make and sell to the shops.
  10. Bump for greatness! Good luck on 70 Herblore! :D ~Dragon_lord
  11. Even if I'm not playing Runescape, using TIF when on the computer is just automatic for me now. :P
  12. You know infinity? Yeah, beyond that.
  13. I am happy to say that I have not once received a blackmark on any of my accounts. :) I try my best to abide by the rules, and am always extra careful when I am around wannabe mods who will report you for something as little as sneezing, and even try to trick you into doing/saying something reportable. I might not have committed any offences, but my main got hacked once, so I left the game for like a year and then came back and started a-new. I still miss my previous main though, had a scythe there...

  15. Yes, well you know how Jagex is trying to control the amount of gp created, apparently Construction wasn't enough so by manipulating prices at the GE they can ensure many players won't high alch as much, thus minimizing the creation of gp. In addition to this, I believe they are raising the prices of evrything else so that they wouldn't have to tweak prices so often.
  16. Nice calculations, reminds me of the wine pure back is RSC which used the dummies in Varrock to train Attack without raising HP.
  17. Although I'm not quite sure about the I.P thing... Say two siblings both play Runescape, and one of them uses third party software to power-level his account. If Jagex traces it down to the I.P and bans it, the other sibling would be punished (I.P ban, account ban, etc...) along with their rule-breaking brother/sister. In the case of the innocent sibling being aware of their brother's/sister's wrong-doing, they're still not in the wrong since they should not be responsible for other people's actions: live and let live And if they ever do start banning I.P adresses, it is very very easy to change your I.P adress.
  18. Revenants are present in both F2P and P2P, on all servers, whether Bounty Hunter is available or not. They have the ability to use Ancient Magiks even on freeplay servers, as well as Range and Melee combat. They can use "Prayer" and eat "food" while fighting you and will change their combat style to counter the Protection Prayer that you might be using. If you think that's fair I'll blow your brains out with a shotgun.
  19. Like I've said before, these updates are doing more harm than good. And it's quite clear Jagex is releasing Summoning when they are, to help ease the hostile tension between players.
  20. *applause* =D> Yeah, I remember when they announced that they would add a trading limit, but in December it only showed the prices and the actual limit wasn't enforced yet, the price of r2h swords was 35k! I figured I sell some stuff to clear out my bank of things I don't need, and a lvl 60 in initiate armour was buying a r2h sword. Great! I trade him and he puts up th exact amount shown at the bottom of the screen, saying he knew his prices. :wall: And although those updates are ment to stop rule breakers, they appear to be doing more harm than good.
  21. That comic strip brings back fond memories... PvP isn't what it once was. Good read, I applause the writers! =D>
  22. Do they know how to spell correctly there? Anyway, I don't have a problem with the Lightning clan chat, sure conversations can get a little... "random" at times, but I find that to be entertaining, and always welcome after I've been Runecrafting all day. Also, the players that use that clan chat are (usually) nice, friendly and above all, more intelligent than your average 'Scaper.
  23. I can safely say that I neve enjoyed playing as much as I did when I was first starting out. Then, everything is new and exciting. You would get a rush of adrenaline from getting a steel weapon or stumbling across a few gp on the floor. I remember thinking I was rich when I found 7k on the ground (probably from a drop trader) and rushed to bank it, seeing as I only had 6k in my bank back then.
  24. Interested in a similiar fun fact from Texas? There, the Britannica Encyclopedia is banned because it contains a recipe for home-made beer!
  25. Well, nothing lasts forever, so ultimately everything is is pointless. :P Dude, it would be nice if the PvP parts of the game were to be updated, but your suggestions are exactly why Jagex nerfed the rewards at Pest Control, it would make leveling up too easy. The point of mini-games such as Castle Wars and Clan Wars is supposed to be for fun, not an alternative to traditional tranning. As for Bounty Hunter, your suggestion would cause chaos, and it has enough of that already.
