Got 10k from a complete stranger 3 Christmases ago when I was just starting out... That was the last Christmas present I ever received. :P But I am not discouraged, and I give small presents to my good friends. :) I also go around handing out gp to new players, the hard thing is to tell the difference between a new player and an experienced player's new account.

I'm going to spend Christmas eve and Christmas morning sitting on the roof of my house, with a pot of coffee in one hand and a loaded rifle in the other, waiting for that fat son of a cabbage who never once got me what I had asked for for Christmas (how hard is it to get a 7 year old boy a military helicopter, I ask you?). *ahem* Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all fellow Tip.Iters, Runescapians, and the rest of the world! Back when I was a newbie, I was in Falador running back and forth between the building with the furnace in it and the general store, collecting the bronze axes that respawned upstairs and selling them in the store, thinking it was a good money maker. :oops: One day, I noticed a player with a combat lvl much higher than mine was standing in a corner and he wasn't moving. I suspected he was lagging but I came to closer to inspect anyway. All of a sudden, I saw coins appear beneath the player, and I decided to take it, thinking that it was probably a few gp. To my surprise, it was 7k and I was abundant with joy! For me back then, that was a small fortune, and not knowing what drop trading was, I had no idea how it got there. I was happy for a week after that.

I don't believe in looking up to others because of any simple accomplishement, but Zezima (no matter how often he is called a nerd) is the first ever player to have maxed out all present skills in the game at the time he did it. Slayerbelle, the first player to achieve 99 Slayer as her very first 99 in any skill, that also deserves admiration, and those who have/had RS membership are aware of how difficult that must have been.

There's an old RS joke: If someone has a lower combat lvl than you, he's a noob. If someone has a higher combat lvl than you, he's a no-lifer. :twisted: Personnally, I don't judge people. So what if someone has a high combat lvl and an astounding total lvl? Maybe it just means they've been playing for a long time (maybe since the release of RS2) and does not mean they are nerds. :| On the other hand, if the account is so new that they have yet to experience their first holiday event, and they're already going into the high-lvl crater in Bounty Hunter, while showing off a trimmed Runecrafting cape, then maybe it's safe to say that the player is a no-lifer (or that they had bought their account:P) But for most people like myself, Runescape is just a way to kill some down-time during those whole 10 minutes a day where you just can't seem to find a reality show on TV (joking :P). You can't expect to play a skilling-based MMORPG and not gain levels! :shame:

Most of these are excellent ideas, but unfortunately, I doubt they will be implemented in the future, mainly because Jagex pays no attention to game suggestions posted on fansites. :?

Now that sounds interesting...If I lived in London I probably would of already done that... Actually, if I lived in London, I would of tried to work for Jagex by now Jagex is based in Cambridge, even if they have a London branch your only hope of being heard would be to talk to someone in Cambridge. And so you received an automated message, what did you honestly expect to get? An actual response?! They only do that when they loose a bet!

I'm being completely honest when I say I've never heard of you. :| Well, PKilling is ruined, trading is ruined, there's a lot of tension between players and Jagex... On the bright side, the amount of rule breakers, especially macroers, has greatly been reduced, bu at the cost of a rumored 50,000 members canceling their subscription and 150,000 other players quitting all together.

You think prices are bad now, wait until the trading limit applies on all accounts! Absolutely no flexibility for trades! No merchanting for those who are low on cash, no bargain trades for those who are poor and want to buy something cheap off of someone who wants to get rid of it, etc...

So I have a pkilling account I was excited to finish trainning and use, then the terrible PvP change occured. (Bounty Hunter isn't all that :shame: ) Anyway, here are my current stats: 40att 60str 33def (will be 40after Dragon Slayer) 53hp 54magic 1range (planning to train) I plan on keeping this account F2P, and will train Strength after I finish with Magic and Range. But I don't know what to do with attack... Some of my friends are telling me to raise it to 45-50 while others are telling me to get 60att and others are telling me to keep it at 40. What should I do? (please keep in mind my account is F2P)

I can honestly tell you there is no possible way to hit a splash 100% of the time in F2P. Believe me, it's not worth spending thousandds of runes to find out whether I'm right or not, you can take my word for it.

This would have been more fun if the pelting would have an affect on the pelted player, or at least if they received a message they were pelted.

The event is lame and the reward is worse... 'nuff said. :(

Paul: So we've been doing a good job on Runescape lately, reducing the amount of cheating, good and fun updates... Andrew: Yes, we're in most players' good graces, we need to do something about that. the conversation shown in the post did not actually occur, but has been posted by myself for sarcastic motives.

Well, the Grand Exchange is still new, I'd give it until January. Prices should start stabilizing around then. Some people still prefer to buy with other players, pixel face to pixel face. This way they can negotiate prices. Hang in there, you'll sell for a price you find fit if you just be patient.

If it wasn't for my friends or my clan, I don't think I would have continued playing Runescape for more than a month or two. I value friends more than the pixels in the game, and it is indeed a shame that there are some that see it the other way around. I'm a very friendly and sociable person and I'm always making friends, as well as keeping in touch with old friends. Gold selling is something that can never be completely removed from the game, but it's good to see Jagex taking some measure to keep it down to a minimum. Although there are a few ways to lessen this even further, such as creating a white market to rival the bannable black market, among other mothds, I'm not sure the blokes at Jagex Towers will consider them.

.I have never been reported up to this point, and for that I am very grateful. You need to be very cautious when talking in Public Chat, because the game (particularly the free version) is simply overflowing with minors who report you for something as little as sneezing, or even worse....wannabe mods. If you keep silent they'll report you under macroing, and even though you most likely weren't, I've seen many cases where players were banned on a false report. The best thing you can do is use mind games. Make them believe what you want is what they want, it usually works.
