Facebook and Myspace virus steals game accounts
No, they just use your friend's name/e-mail adress to send you an automated message containing the virus.

Facebook and Myspace virus steals game accounts
How hard is it to determine whether an e-mail was actually sent to you by your friend or is an automated message sent under a friend's name? And since when did anyone had to download anything to be able to watch a YouTube video? The fact that you're asked to download something to watch it should have been enough to make people suspicious... Mneh, viruses of any kind can be avoided if you're just careful. Use a good Anti-Virus program, maybe even download a couple of protective add-ons (like WOT for Firefox users). Other than that, just use your head before clicking on a link and you'll be fine.

The Runecrafting Guild - What will happen to rune prices?
Who in their right mind still mines pure essence as a way of making money anymore? Even a low level member can find a way to make faster and better money. That's why in my opinion maybe they should work out a way so that F2Pers could have (limited) access to the guild. I recall many members wanted F2P to be able to mine pure ess (don't you just love it how members rely on F2P to do the boring chores? They're like illegal immigrants ), not because they think F2P deserve updates (hey, they get a free game) but because they wanted to have pure ess coming into the market and at a lower price. And I'm not sure about how the RC Guild will affect the price of runes and ess, maybe it will rollercoaster prices the first couple of months it's out then everything will start to drift back to normal. Nothing is for sure, all I can say is that I'm very excited about it! :D

Item Leasing Is Corrupt
They changed it so people wouldn't get scammed in trust trades, genius... And the reason I say it is/should be against the rules is because players are trying to find ways around the trade limit, if transferring items via BH isn't allowed than this shouldn't be either. This was meant to be more about item leasing making people greedy anyway...

Item Leasing Is Corrupt
The item lending update has allowed players to lend their items to their friends once again, this made most players happy. Jagex, as well as a good number of players, knew there would definitely be an item leasing market upon the update but it was not expected to become so popular. Lending your items to strangers is a nice gesture, if you won't be needing that item for some time. And I'm not against item leasing either, there's no harm in paying anywhere from 3k to 30k to get lent a specific item such as an Abyssal Whip or a Fury Amulet. But this is where it gets ugly. People are beginning to lend out more valuable items, such as God Swords and Party Hats for larger sums of money, sometimes 200k and higher. Now how is this done, even though the Trade Limit's highest is at 30k every 15 minutes? That's because many players are junk trading. And the leasing players are more than eager to do it, even explaining to others how it can be done. That's just sad. This wonderful update is being corrupted by greedy players. You'd think you'd expect better from someone who has more than 200 Quest Points, but it doesn't seem like it. Junk trading is against the rules, it is a form of RWT and people who practice it for item leasing disgust me.

What would it take for you to quit RS?
I am very careful not to break the rules, but should my account be banned I'll just hop to my secondary account and continue building it up. My friends and clanmates are the sole reason I still play RuneScape. I am about to go to university, and this means that I will have to cut down on my gaming time dramatically. But as long as I have friends who still play, I'l always manage to make time to log in once or twice on the weekends for a chat. :D

If there was any doubt before...
You know, you can just switch Public/Private Chat to Friends, or just avoid the QC worlds, which is where the kiddies will most likely be playing. Hey, just keep immature and annoying people out of Tip.It and I'm happy. I know there are many updates that players are displeased about, but unless we're planning to storm Jagex's offices there's no point in going on about how much it will suck.

Do you Want Runescape: to have a money/item system?
I remember reading somewhere (maybe Wikipedia?) that Jagex is considering a 3rd MMORPG in 2010 that will have micro-payments. So it might happen in that game, but I don't know about RuneScape (or even MechScape). I believe creating a white market was one of the suggestions made to fight the black market, so RWTers would stop breaking the rules and buy game gold legally, but mneh...

How many songs are possible in f2p?
Jagex made a hidden update a while back that unlocked all holiday related emotes/songs automatically. I'm not sure what the exact number of music tracks F2P accounts can have, maybe it's 145 like Forsakenmage has. I don't think anyone cba to go find out since it's not really something of great importance. (to me anyway)

How many songs are possible in f2p?
Haha, I love how players see nothing but red showing up in the chatbox "You have unlocked a New music track..." For F2P players this only happens during the first couple of months of gaming, before they know about how many music tracks there are. or air guitar emote hunting. :P I have 140 unlocked on my F2P account, pretty proud of the stuff I've done there. 8-)

Runescape's french version soon?
It's fairly easy to switch to French on your computer, you just have to switch to "French" in your Language bar (usually found in the Taskbar unless the user put it somewhere else) Though most people don't know how to do it because they never pay attention to the little things and therefore never learn about it. :shame: Wait, in French my username would be Maitre des Dragons... You're right it isn't as leet-sounding as before. :|

Runescape's french version soon?
I'm going to try the French version of Runescape when it comes out, yes. They've been working on it for a while and it didn't take any longer than this for them to release the German version after it was first announced. French might be different in other countries (France, Quebec, etc...) but I'm sure the blokes at Jagex Towers (don't you just love calling them that whenever you can?) are aware of that are are trying to work out a version to suit everyone. And to death666bl00ms... *decides to save himself the trouble of typing something and just stabs him* Who knows, it might be good for lulz. : You'll finally be able to say "shower" in French! *twists mustache and laughs menacingly*

How much do you think raw crayfish will rise?
Crayfish has risen because it's new to the game. Some people (even experienced players) still aren't aware it's a low lvl fish, with little healing. After a while it will plummet to its intended price, it will be right back over there with shrimps and chicken.

Small things you can do to help others.
As long as they don't start begging for free stuff, I'm always willing to put whatever I'm doing on hold and help out a new player in anyway I can. Be it providing information, helping with a quest or just chatting with them. :) If I find that the player really is new to the game and not just some guy on a noob account hoping people will give him a few free gps (you'd be surprised how many people do that) I give them a set of iron armour and take them on a tour of the nearby areas, telling them of combat trainning spots, mining locations, etc... Edit: This may not be relevant but I'm listening to "All the small things" right now.

Small things that annoy you
I hate it when noobs come up to me and I'm wielding/wearing something untradable. They ask me how I got it and I tell them, no problem there. They ask if they can buy it and I tell them it isn't tradable. "Drop trade it then" Even if it was tradable I would not sell it to you. What on Earth would make you think I'm willing to drop trade it to you? Jagex isn't that stupid to have left drop trading in when they took out free trading. "Yes it still works" :wall: Another thing about noobs is that they walk up to you thinking you're more than willing to patiently give them 3k every 15 minutes. Edit: This happened to me just as I clicked the "Submit" button: I'm trainning combat, and have been for the past half hour. Out of the blue this guys shows up and tries to steal the monsters when they respawn. Every time I beat him to it he gets mad because I'm stealing his monster. But what made me REALLY wish I could reach into the computer screen and pull him out by the nose is that he said I should world hop. :wall: :wall:

Parental Control
Oh, so there's going to be Parental Control now? I doubt kids that used to claim they were 13+ when creating new accounts will hesitate to mark their age as 18+ now. If kids are spending too much time on the game it's the parents' fault to have allowed that to happen in the first place. Parental Control necessity indicates that the parents aren't around to supervise their kids. Your child is doing something they aren't supposed to be doing, where are you?

It's like a Runescape you can play with...Outside!
Coming soon: RuneScape on the cell phone - now with even more pixels! #-o Even if it did come out on consoles/handhelds (which is highly unlikely anyway) I wouldn't buy it. When I'm outside it's because I wouldn't rather be playing RuneScape. If I did I'll go nuts and go back inside to play.

Quick Chat- Convenient or Unnecessary?
I'm not a fan of Quick Chat. I hate it when non-muted players use it all the time, it gets on my nerves.

Pagan Reference In Runescape?
Why would you see this as Pagan? This is a game, those "Gods" aren't real and everyone knows it. If someone says they are a "follower" of a certain RS "God" does not mean they are showing Pagan behaviour. It means they are role-playing their character, as does everyone else the minute they log in (unless you go around fighting Dragons irl). Edit: Yeah, pretty much.

WHAT HAPPENED TO LIGHTNING?!
Lightning's chat has been disabled. Tip.It's new unofficial in-game clan chat is Forsakenmage. As for the Tip.It forums, they have been upgraded to PHBB3 and been given a new skin to resemble the main website. Guess that's all. Goodbye and have a nice day. :

What 'age' do you think Runescape is for?
Haha, it would make my day if the RS novel would be a pop-up book.

What 'age' do you think Runescape is for?
Jagex added the "must be at least 13 years old" thing to shield themselves from parents. If something goes wrong, Jagex says "they said they were 13" and they're off the hook. I started playing this when I was 15, and I liked it because unlike many other MMORPGs, you could play it on nearly any computer, as well as directly in your web-browser. Now certain aspects of the game are clearly ment for higher levels, which Jagex sees as people who are older (such as GWD, the Zamorak boss for example would probably scare a 9 year old). But you saw what they did during the earlier graphical updates, what game has a zombie with a baubly head? You expect an undead monster like that to be covered in blood, or at least not look like it came out of Sesame Street. The way I see it, Jagex tries to keep everyone happy. But they seem to be leaning more towards accommodating people in their early teens.

17 July 2008 - Improvements to Non-UK European Servers
They took out a surprising number of servers. ... Including me homeworld. :( Never forgive, never forget! RAWR Or was it the other way around? Mneh, you get the point.
