  1. I don't consider the Atari-like music that RuneScape has to be atmospheric...
  2. Nice vid... Personally I'd have preferred seeing Mr T begging for fr33 st00f or stnading in the middle of Times Square shouting No Wildy No RS.
  3. Yeeaah... I liked the first one better. This new banner seems to have lower quality and that woman sort of looks like a man (then again, most female characters are played by male players :P ) Hmmm... PvP you say, could this be hinting that the PvP worlds are withing earshot as well? Edit: oma gawd j00 be ryt!!!!!!![/shift]
  4. It would be sick if all those "loose end" storylines were combined into the super quest! I'm really interested in seeing the Mahjarrat and their meeting in the North being brought up in it.
  5. In our defence this just happened today (September 2nd), after we had suggested worlds for the mini-game. :P
  6. For your Magic level I'd recommend fire strike until you have higher level. High Alching is out since you want something to train HP. Crumble Undead is a great way to train Magic in F2P if you can afford all the runes you'll need. If money is an issue just stick with Fire Strike.
  7. I hate 1+ year teasers. They get talked about to death, to the point you get sick of it and by the time Jagex releases the teaser update most players would have forgotten about it or wouldn't be anticipating it as much anymore.
  8. What's this about pregnant mothers playing RuneScape? I know pregnancy causes cravings but I never thought any of those cravings were playing computer games all day. Computer screens have low radiation, I don't think spending a few hours a day in front of a computer will have any affect on your health (from radiation I mean). This might have been a debatable issue some 10 years ago but now we have digital screens and there's really nothing to worry about. You talk about playing too much to "ruin your life", and while too much of anything isn't good I don't think it would go that far. The worst that could happen is that your social life suffers a bit, it's not that hard to click the log-out button after all. ;)
  9. Jagex hasn't put up an officially themed world for the Great Orb Project. But you'll never find yourself short of players in world 1, 3, 4, 5 or 16.
  10. Now that I've had some time to think about something that would fit, instead of that book I wrote in my first post, I'd like something like this: His last words were "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try something"
  11. Not one of the best guest article I've read. It's basically what everyone already knows and there have been many topics talking about the exact same stuff as the article. The topic PK Anywhere: A Skiller's Dream Come True jumped to my mind during the second half ofthe article.
  12. Don't pay attention to those "or I'll report you" noobs. I used to get the same threats whenever someone asked me for free money prior to the trade limit. If anything, they see what you're doing as reportable and they want to do it themselves. Seems to me they're the ones that should get reported. Don't worry about it, Bug Abuse qualifies as anything that gives you an unfair advantage, and I can't see a way where you're gaining an advantage over other players, other than getting a few lulz.
  13. If I were to compile a list of all the uber-hyped updates that Jagex managed to ruin (Construction anyone?) we'd be here all day today and a bit of tomorrow. Then again, I've learned that one has to make the best of things. Some updates (like the tabbed banking update) are a Godsend, and it was fun for me to spend 15 minutes rearranging my entire bank into tabs. And of course we have certain updates that were nothing like we expected them to be (I can remember looking forward to Bounty Hunter when it was mentioned in the BTS, then it wasn't mentioned that it was replacing the old Wilderness), but whether we like it or not there isn't really anything we can do about them.
  14. Jagex considers 7.5/10 black marks to be "small"? I guess math isn't their strong point. :? Hmm... After re-reading the original post, do you think black marks received prior to the black mark degradation system will be "degraded" should the player not break the rules any further?
  15. This is just one of many mini-game flaws that we have to deal with, as nothing will be done about it. *cough*Trawler free-loaders*cough* I'd post some suggestions as to how they could improve them but it wouldn't do any good. Just make the best of it, you can't expect to have a team full of lvls 100+ all the time, or even any time for that matter. :P You're playing it for fun, aren't you? (those rewards are hardly any interest to someone with more than 50 combat...) Then just try to enjoy it instead of reminding yourself of its downsides.
  16. I have mixed feelings about this... Many players get black marks or even bans/mutes unfairly and it would be nice if they would have a chance to have their case properly looked at, instead of having their appeal denied 99% of the time and getting nothing more but an automated message when they haven't done anything wrong in the first place. On the other hand, people that deserve to be banned/muted will probably abuse this system, but I guess we'll just have to trust Jagex on this one.
  17. He wasn't complaining about anything and he doesn't know what they are, there's no reason to go all "F2P doesn't pay" on this guy. As for the advert box, you don't click on it. There will be a (golden) bar under the advert box counting down from 10. Once the countdown is done you click on the bar. After that you will be taken back to the loggin screen and you will be logged in.
  18. I will gather all my friends and clan mates and we will surround Lumbridge. Or maybe it will just be a mobile area around me. 8-)
  19. If the person is nice to talk to then yeah, I add them. I'm always helping newbies so I get a lot of "add me plz". Normally I just politely tell them that my friends' list is full (it really is). But if I find that I would make that player's day if I added them (you'd be surprised how much it means to some people) I'd add them, talk to them a bit and if I don't see them for a couple of days I delete them.
  20. I'm definitely going to try it out once it's released. We don't have to download anything, so why not?
  21. "Here lies the most narly dude to have ever walked the Earth. He was so awesome he made awesome people seem less awesome. In fact, this guy is so damn kickass he managed to respawn and is on his way back to beat the cabbage out of whatever killed him. Bless his grave so he can get all his stuff back, there's a cookie in it for you!" Probably too long, but I'd definitely put that in. 8-)
  22. If everyone had your attitude discussion topics would cease to exist. And on another note, the RC mini-game is quite fun, and it has good rewards. The altar tele tabs save a lot of time, the omni staff (which is basically a talisman on a stick, hehe) is better than a tiara (I always hated tiaras) and saves bank space, but above all it provides you with cheap ess. Does ess cost too much nowadays? Then just exchange tokens for ess, and when you no longer need any more ess yourself just sell it and enjoy the easy money!
  23. It's always nice to show the Tip.It staff you appreciate the hard work they put into this site, but it's even nicer when you do it in the appropriate topic: DDOS attack discussion! Making topics like this just creates more work for them and that's not very nice, now is it. :P
  24. Runecrafting is one of the best money-making skills in both F2P and P2P. Yes, it's very slow to train and there's no fun in leveling it but one you have a decent level it pays off! I love how nobody bothered to train RC before, and now that the new guild has a requirement that only 250k players had prior to its release everyone is rushing to get in. I made out like a bandit on this update.
  25. Dragon_lord replied to guywho's topic in Help and Advice
I'd recommend going for an omni staff. This way you can get into any RC altar with that one staff. If you ask me, for 10k tokens the staff is only worth it if you're going for omni. (My friend got an air staff, in my opinion it was a waste) And remember, a RC staff is basically a talisman on a stick. :D
