Quest Points used to decide trading gap??
D. V. Devnull replied to sibmaster's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
This was brought up before and got smacked down rather hard. Going by only exp would be an insane mistake, as it would allow a macroer/autoer/RWT'er to just simply keep training one skill until they have all the exp that they could ever want. Definitely something we DON'T want happening. :shame: ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
Runescape HD -Need more help with gfx card + RAM-
D. V. Devnull replied to gongusan's topic in Tech and Computers
THIS one should do fine and is pretty cheap. gongusan, just one reminder: When you are installing the new video card, make sure you disable the onboard one, or force it into a mode where the system will accept the new card before seeking the integrated one. Otherwise, you're going to have one heck of a time installing the new video card. :geek: Good luck to you. : ~D. V. Devnull -
Just to start this off... What is "Style XP"? :-s (I'm probably gonna end up sitting in the back and listening, but I thought I'd ask, since I'm not sure I have an idea of what that particular item is.) ~D. V. Devnull

I know someone's gonna try to flame me for saying this... But... I think that the upcoming Tip.It Sigs could stand to grow about 22 pixels (possibly 44, depending on design) in height, and have a small shift-around of items. :P ....... Would definitely provide the extra room for all these desired items. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -

You definitely misread me... I was NOT saying that it should stop loading of images. Far from it, TBH... :shame: In fact, the problem I am seeing in the current (as of the time this is posted) version of the "Tip.It Theme" is that people couldn't "middle-click scroll" and/or "right-click" anything within the control of those scroll bars and the hide tag, due to how it was implemented. However, from what I know and/or understand, there should be a fix put up shortly for that... Just a matter of time....... : ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Maybe... Maybe not... Sometimes an individualized response is far more helpful than making a person read a sticky... That and the user who's seeking help doesn't feel 'left out in the cold' if they get such a kind response from some of the more helpful users in here. :) (Maybe I'll get tired after another 200 threads like this, but until then, I'm glad to help them.) ~Mr. D. D. V. Devnull replied to jiraiya19's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
You're not even close. This thread is far from dead. For that matter, if it weren't for the forum rollback due to someone destroying a lot of data, there'd be a keg of new posts here, and tons of new supporters, as well as the occasional argument from the last 6 months! 8-) Oh well, consider this the restart... And BTW, I think jiraiya19 came back to the forums at some point... This thread is missing something on the title that just tells me. :-k ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
Hello, roanlo... : I just read through all the posts above, and I can say, I'm knocking my head off the wall because they all missed something. If you really want to check out your graphics capabilities, and other essential info, go to "Start > Run", and use that dialogue to run "dxdiag" (no quotes when you actually type it in) ... Known as the "DirectX Diagnostic Utility", it provides critical info on your Graphics, Sound, Network, Gaming Apps, and other rather useful tidbits, including a fast glance at your CPU and RAM... EVERYTHING that you'll probably want to know at this time is all there, ripe for the looking. I hope the info I just gave you helps. 8-) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

12,709 Hmmm... should I go with the classic response, or something way more juicy? :P ~Mr. Devnull -
Okay, I read the thread, and I'm going to use the initial post as my quote point... Hello, Alex... 8-) TBH, you really should NOT remove the hard disk that you're currently using. =; Instead, for that new hard disk that you bought, you need to buy an external drive enclosure. Something like the "ThermalTake Silver River Duo" (click here if the drive is a 3.5"-wide) (click here if the drive is a 2.5"-wide) would fit the bill in this case for a place to put the drive into. And once done with a little mount-work, you would then be able to plug it into the laptop via USB, so you could use the space properly, and alongside the old drive. This would also allow you the fortune of gaining a lot of space back on your laptop's internal main drive, by offloading a large keg of files onto the external drive, such as videos, downloads, documents... You name it. :geek: I hope this info helps. ~D. V. Devnull

D. V. Devnull replied to sibmaster's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Hi there, sibmaster... :) I still support your idea. (Still though, I feel that 100K may be a little too much for P2P, due to RWT issues... Maybe an 80K supermax, with the next notch down being 65K? :-s ...) ~D. V. Devnull -

Could I ask you to try that image again, but with transparency applied to the Tip.It Logo first, on its' own layer? I think you might like it after making it semi-transparent. :-k ~D. V. Devnull -

You couldn't read it anyways, it'd have to be smaller than 16by16 pixels and at that size it looks like a little brown blob. Exactly. There isn't any room for a legible Rune Tips logo. There is no way that we could put the logo if it's the same size at the one in Lordofrah1's signature. The only place I can think of where we could put the logo without it covering up any stat icons, or have it be covered by text or a pose, would be under the Quest Points icon.. and in order to get it to fit, you have to shrink it down to a ridiculous size, so it just looks like a blurry blob like Lordofrah1 said. And what about laying the Tip.It Logo ON TOP of the pose, down in the bottom right corner area, at the size in Lordofrah1's sig, but then giving it enough transparency to allow a person to see both the Logo and the area it would have outrightly covered underneath? That would be possible to do within the rendering scripts, and also possible to agree on, wouldn't it? :-s Heck, here's an example, drawing on RuneWeb.Net's siggy scripts, just as an example... ...so that everyone can get the idea. (BTW, nice stats, Tripsis! ...) ~D. V. Devnull (Hunting for a "middle ground", one argument at a time...) -
Pardon the double... It has been long enough since my last post that I shouldn't hit the edit button on that one. Anywho................. NEW BUG: Moderator Names are now showing on board front when logged out, but not when logged in. NEW BUG #2: Moderator names have disappeared from areas with subforums, like "Tech & Computers", and may have disappeared in other forum regions. ... and here is to the hope (and a prayer  ...) that this will be fixed rapidly. : ~D. Yeah, maybe something like one one in your sig? And later on, it could evolve like RuneWeb.Net's little mini-genie, but instead be Tip.It's nifty Wood Plaque, maybe with some nice transparency. ~D. V. Devnull
