  1. Looks like we can add FireFox 1.5-series to that. I just pulled up the guide, and I'm seeing (as of the time this is posted) that problem too. :( ....... On the bright side, a fix should be in place shortly, so we will be at "[/thread]" soon. : ~D. V. Devnull
  2. [hide=Embarrassing Moment... click to view...] Soooo, by that logic Tip.It is now going to essentially sue the person they contracted out to build the damn theme in the first place? Or they're going to sue me for ripping the entire site layout (CSS included) for testing purposes (which the staff are quite aware of)? You seriously need to rethink how you go about your posting around here. Tip.It isn't going to care that he copied and pasted code from the main website (which Tip.It owns) into a theme for their forums (which Tip.It also owns). They sure as hell aren't going to get all pissy with him for using code that already works on a theme they already blessed. Seriously, just leave already. Your stupidity is dragging the rest of us down when you post crap like this. [/hide] Cruiser, sorry about that. :( ... I'd posted that chunk of stupidity about 5 minutes (or less) after hitting my head off a shelf of drawers behind me. (D'OH! #-o ...) ....... Bright side, at least the headache is gone now, and I'll have the sense in the future to stop myself before posting [bleep] like that. : ~D. V. Devnull
  3. Uhmmmmmmm... Yes... However, a little small spot of text will make a good start. ~D. V. Devnull
  4. LOL  ....... If only it weren't for the "Intellectual Property/Copyright" issues. :-w ....... And yes, there is the chance that Errdoth could have probably written a PM to Tip.It's Admins and requested permission to use the stylesheet data on some form of license, like with the images, just as long as PhpBB3 didn't throw him an outright ball of wax to have to fight with. :) (Note: Not trying to tick you off, Cruiser... Those thoughts above just happened to thump me over the head like getting hit with a book.) ~D. V. Devnull
  5. This idea evolved from the idea that a person's inventory and what he was wearing wasn't protected by the bank pin. A person might have to leave unexpectedly or is training in a secluded area far from a bank. Expanding on what Crimsoncow42 said....... Imagine if you DID have to go unexpectedly, you were very far from a bank, and didn't have time to bank... Would you really want there to be a chance that you'd come back later, and find that all your valuables were gone and you were in Lumbridge, because a hacker murdered your character? Personally, I don't think you'd want that happening. I think you'd want to be able to come back, even if you had to tap in your PIN along with your RS username and pass, and find that you could resume because your stuff happened to remain safe. : TBH, it would be laziness to be against this idea. Gee, aren't you against laziness, 'Promise'??? You sure did a nice job contradicting yourself. :shame: ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  6. 12,720 ....... New page.......... (Thanks a heck of a lot for stealing my chance to take the palindrome post. ...) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  7. Is that really "KB", or is it "MB"? The numbers given in WTM (Windows Task Manager) are normally already "KB" themselves, so if you're seeing thousands there, then you may have misinterpreted and are looking at "MB"... Heck, maybe you could give us a screenshot of just that part of your WTM display, just to clear up any doubts? :-s ... (BTW, I'd be thankful if you did. :) ...) ~D. V. Devnull
  8. 12,723  <*DVD comes walking in, with a bag full of an unknown (to anyone but him) contents in his hand. He gently tosses it between his hands, looks around, notices a couple of edits, decides the world is normal, and walks out again. Someone must have dodged a ganking.*> ~D. V. Devnull
  9. This idea isn't meant to foster laziness, and it is offensive that you took it that way. :x So that you may understand it better, this idea is for all those people whose banks are so full that they can't just put their equips in the bank at night... Think along the lines of a situation similar to what could have happened with the Grand Exchange & Trading, had Jagex not put a PIN on that! Now do you get the idea? What this idea aims to do is to lay a defensive layer on accounts that should have been in place right from the start, and NEVER dismissed as "unimportant or useless". :-s Seriously, what would you do if, for example, you were a user who trained everything and kept well-stocked for emergencies? Would you allow yourself to be lazy and make the mistake of dumping something you might want and/or need later, just because you were scared of hackers? Or would you rather the game's security was made better so you could train without fear of a hacker coming along and destroying all your hard work? I think you'd prefer all your work was safely away from the clutches of a hacker! \ Hopefully, I've now made a supporter out of you. 8-) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  10. Alright, I don't have any Steam-based games here, but I'm viewing Paged Pool Memory in Windows Task Manager, and Valve's article doesn't seem to hold any water right now. I actually pulled up one of the heavier games I have available to me, played it for a few, put it away, then checked, and NOD32 appears to NOT be taking up (and/or NOT willing to take up) much Paged Pool Memory at all. :-k If and when you do try out NOD32, could you please post back an image of the numbers displayed in Windows Task Manager? :-s Thanks in advance. :) ~D. 11. They're still working on stuff like that. Just sit back and be patient, as they're working out certain other bugs prior to fixing that one. On an alternate note... NEW BUGS, caused by Errdoth's "Image Scroll Bars" on the 'Tip.It Theme'... [*:j9f9r2xa]Images and text affected by this system can no longer be scrolled via the middle mouse button... AutoScroll is unable to focus on the image. [*:j9f9r2xa]Right-click on elements that have this effect to them is also unavailable... And there are totally legal reasons for being able to right-click on such images and text. ...and since this one's gonna require a fix from the creator of the Theme, I'm just gonna sit back and wait until it is done. TBH, I preferred the old thing of letting it stretch ONLY when a large item in hide tags was opened, reporting ones that didn't use the hide tags, and having rules in place to make people use the hide tags properly on large images. It worked so much better... :-s ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  12. I agree whether or not it's an image or just text. Perhaps implementing the text 'Tip.It' somewhere on the sigs at first, and then after a few months and some work when a Tip.It logo has been designed properly, or actually fits and looks good discretely it could be added. Alright, I could go with that for now. :) ~D. V. Devnull
  13. Last Tip: If it turns out that DirectDraw still isn't functioning, then reinstall DirectX... that should cure it. 8-) Good luck to you. : ~D. V. Devnull
  14. wioneo, I'm the guy that caught the problem with the signatures. (Yes, skatedog has the link to the master thread for bugs right. Thanks, skatedog!!! :) ...) For the moment, Tip.It Staff has put a fix in place until they can handle this more in-depth. Thankfully, it has helped. Anyone and everyone who is allowed to have a signature should be able to configure their signatures now, instead of running into crippling problems. 8-) ~D. V. Devnull
  15. So what's not to say that it may need to be re-tried, and or made optional during creation of the sig? Just tossing it out is like tossing out the site logo on the website, and effectively any recognition of all their work, in my opinion. Tip.It's Staff works hard to keep this site running, and they have worked hard to create these siggys, and they deserve and should have their "We Made This" mark on it. :ugeek: Seriously, give things like this extra chances. Like spaghetti, sometimes it doesn't stick at first, but it will later on! ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  16. Sadly, if Valve says that NOD32 will conflict with Steam and their games, then I guess you're stuck choosing something that's compatible, if and only if you don't want to say bye-bye to Valve... Have you checked about Avast! or AVG? :-s (Surprising, I'm actually running an AV that watches things so well that Steam doesn't slip by, but I'll get bad lag in the process... Somebody goofed, and I hope it wasn't Eset.) ~Mr. Devnull
  17. 12,761 *Yawn* ... Ah, hello again, everyone! :) ~Mr. Devnull
  18. Aww, crud... Thanks for catching that, Nadril... I'm soooooo not used to sudden 'person to be helped' jumps in mid-thread.... D'OH!!!!!!!!!!! #-o ~D. V. Devnull
  19. Well said, Mercifull ... Your exact thought says a good chunk of why I feel Tip.It should somehow have their mark on their signature images... It is their work, after all. 8-) ... If only I knew how to produce a proper small version of the Tip.It Logo myself, but I lack the ability to implement my thought just because of a lack of knowledge. :? ~D. V. Devnull
