actually it would need to be atleast a month long one....3 m peeps quit for a month ( members ) and they would lose 15m+ dollars Yeah, it would have to be P2P AND F2P leaving for a while to get the point across to Jagex about things like the Wildi Revenants, poor market setups, etc. that they've done. ~Mr. D. Good thinking "Join up or die" No... extremely BAD thinking on Jagex's part. Killing innocent (as in, does not 'RWT/macro/scam' at all) players like that, instead of giving them a [long bleep - too much swearing] of a chance, is how you ensure you DON'T get them to pay for members. I'm not kidding, I literally don't want to be P2P ever if this is the kind of [long bleep - too much swearing] that Jagex wants to pull. Even if I was thinking of trying to beg my parents into it, Jagex just tossed the idea out the window. Jagex, burn in [bleep] until you fix this mess. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Since some are mentioning Crafting Guild also, I'll expand with the note from my knowledge of P2P (even though I've never been one) that Falador West Bank in P2P to the Crafting Guild and back, going over an agility shortcut and through a gate, appears to be the fastest route I can think of for that one. Taking a hot-air-balloon ride sounds like it would have a boat-trip-like delay for loads and such on it, which would take way too long in comparison. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

I agree with darkblade986. This is just the kind of stuff I do when I've been away from sites like Tip.It for a while. Saves me headaches, saves Tip.It any headaches, and makes the world more happy for all of us. Okay, Eelspremiers, I hope you're just being sarcastic and attempting to be funny. Otherwise... <*pulls out a giant bat*> ... Heh, Heh, Heh. I know what to do with those that go overboard. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Well, if you were F2P, I'd say the Crafting Guild, but since you're P2P, I have no idea. Who knows... It might be that it is the same for P2P? :-s ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Oh My Dearest, What Happened to Pking? *suggestions on WILD*
D. V. Devnull replied to Prun's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Agreed to all of you. I support this idea. \ ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
Yeah, and those spells were never meant for F2P at all. :? ... Then to be hit by them was a [bleep]ing shock. :ohnoes: ... Almost died about 5 times yesterday, barely survived the last one. -.- The wildi is now too dangerous, even for the evil-minded, 'RWT-innocent' players of RuneScape. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Real suggestions to yesterdays updates
D. V. Devnull replied to nitram99's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Nitram99, you have my support in this matter. These tweaks would still block RWT, and provide a more reasonable atmosphere for all. Now to hope that Jagex sees this. Which reminds me, you need to stick the following at the top of your post, due to copyright issues and the like... ...so that Jagex can freely use it. They probably won't use the idea otherwise. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
You're right, any game with RWT in it has no real point, short of trying to do better than the RWT'ers. However, I still think Jagex is hurting too many innocent people with this one, and that even with time, Jagex won't correct that error even if it costs them their whole IRL living. No, I don't want RWT back at all, but I do want Jagex to fix their errors in doing deadly updates like this one. -.- ===Begin Edit=== And as for this... Alright, LOL. ... I said "edited" however because of the fact that PhpBB calls it such. Sorry for the headache. :? ===End Edit=== ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Agreed. Here's a listing of Themed Worlds... http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=1 And BTW, even on those worlds where LootShare works, the Clan Chat's 'Channel Owner' must have your whole intended group for LootShare on their RS Friend List, and all of you must be in a 'Multi-Combat Zone'. LootShare will not work otherwise. 'Nuff said. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Did you notice at all the point of his post? He's talking about the various ways members can make money much faster than free players, not about items. Did you notice that monkeyboo2 EDITED their post after I posted mine? I was replying to what I originally saw, so stuff it. Your rude nature does you no favors, Jimmyh7 ~Mr. Devnull

hmm, i agree with you there. membs can handle it.. but dont torture the poor f2p'ers  Says who? #-o I'm part agreeing and part disagreeing with the following, Philip, but I think you might agree with me on this... Well I'm F2P, and so far, I've had to constantly run from Revenants, unless I have had help from fellow F2P'ers. I've heard reports from some P2P'ers that they don't have problems with these monsters. So, in looking at this, I'd say that this has become torture for F2P's innocents only, and torture for most of P2P's innocents, with only the very elite of P2P being able to tolerate this mess. ~Mr. D. Its nice to have principals of game. But to do that you must have a game; thats not the way Jagex is going. Think for a moment, or research on wikipedia, Star Wars Galaxies; it went just the same way, until it died. Well said, both of you. But as for you, monkeyboo2, we're not all RWT'ers, and that includes P2P. Did you notice at all the restrictions that Jagex put in against P2P-only items so that they can't be used to have an unfair advantage over F2P at all? ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
-
And F2P doesn't have this option. So... what do you suggest for us poor blokes? (And don't tell me you don't give a [bleep], because I am sure you have F2P friends.) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

Great... so to battle a Revenant, I have to have buddies, I have to have a good spot to lure to, I have to have my best food, I may be limited to only one combat type (instead of my usual 2 that I love to do together), and I may face certain death, as opposed to having a good chance to survive before if I didn't want to fight! I think I want the old wildi back, badly, but just with an extremely sparse scattering of these things added on. At the moment, I'm feeling like "WTF? Jagex, aren't we supposed to have a nice chance in the wildi, not an assurance of dying?", and wish they had thought about this a lot better, because it looks to me like Jagex went overboard to an extreme, which I wish they hadn't. ~Mr. D. More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
D. V. Devnull replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
<*slaps killerred005*> Dude, I think 'Prankster_King / Blackbear778' is thinking about far more than just his self. He's had tons of support all this time from us, and I'm pretty sure without some of us, this may not have happened. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull (Tip.It's Unofficial "Lord Of The Looney Bin" ...) -
More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
D. V. Devnull replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Quite the contrary, this combined with boxing up armour leaves me with more than enough space. \ Same here :D +3 ... But the sad thing is, so much had to be damaged to kill RWT, that I wonder if this is really going to matter now. Sure, I've now got space I need for most all my stuff, and with less overnight impacts (now down to max of 3 items out at night : ...), and I'm thankful to Jagex for it, but I feel like something's now missing since people won't have those nice skulls over their head anymore while walking through Varrock or Falador. I have to wonder, will RuneScape survive, or has it burned itself in the flames of hell? Did RS's founders sign a pact with the devil or something? Personally, I know it will take time to find out the answer to this, but if the answer is what I think it is, RuneScape is going fall much further than anyone thinks. :| Sure, our quest for More F2P Bank Space is complete, but I have this awful feeling that there is something more to come. :ohnoes: ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -
For just noobies? Are you mad? With all the perils that exist, especially with the revenants in the wildi, and the Bounty Hunter Minigame, every thing is now so tough that having something like this would bring back some balance to those veterans that liked a lot of the old things, but without leaving the door open for RWT problems! ~Mr. Devnull
-
Whoa, I use that wallway to get from there to the varrock sewers and/or the rune essence mines quickly and efficently! I definitely don't want that path gone! :o How about we have Jagex stick a macro-repelling/auto-repelling gate of some kind there??? :-s ~Mr. Devnull

Something we'd all want, but at a price
D. V. Devnull replied to RU_Insane's topic in General Discussion
And what about inviting friends to the game who don't have accounts??? Did you EVER think of this??? Or were you intent on shutting them out and leaving those who wish to invite them hanging??? ~Mr. Devnull -

casthewiz, Makoto_the_Phoenix, Infernosage4, I Agree. There has to be a way to do away with bots permanently, but without this kind of problem. ~Mr. Devnull -
Will future bots be almost impossible to detect?
D. V. Devnull replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
Wake up and smell the music buddy. Starblaster100's essence miner has over 10,000 different words/phrases that it uses to respond to certain q's. By identifying certain keywords in text around them bots can easily decipher a response from their built in vocabulary. I haven't seen one of those. :? ... For the purposes of this discussion, I wish to know, do they operate on f2p, or are they just p2p-only? :-s ... I have to say, that kind of bot would pose a serious problem in my detecting it, and I normally bulls-eye them with my own eyes. :( ~Mr. D. V. Devnull -

Getting a little side-railed, but not much... Well I kept it private, so the source code and logs wouldn't help them as nobody else is using it, I wouldn't go to jail for cheating in a game - especially without warning, and I'm not interested in programming with Java and BCEL as a career. As for fighting on the right side of the war, I guess the 'right side' varies from person to person. I did however think of and suggest a way to stop client edited macroers as soon as they log in. (the type that macro with 15- 30 throwaway accounts at once) But nobody really payed attention to it :( EDIT: here is that idea I posted If you want to have a squiz. That idea you thought up sounds rather good. Modified stuff wouldn't be able to handle it if it was done properly. However (and I understand as I say this that you don't like the thought of doing Java-related stuff for a job), I think that this kind of thing won't happen without someone like yourself getting a job at Jagex and lending your knowledge to the fight. It is true that the "right side" does vary from person to person, but wouldn't it be better to be fighting on the correct side of the macroing issue ('Jagex's and any 'innocent user's) and actually make money for it too, legal money that you can walk home with and be able to say "Yahoo!!! I'm kicking [bleep] on the net and making good money for it too!!!" and sleep well at night knowing that you're making a positive difference? : BTW, I have heard of people going to jail for cheating. Usually because they've broken the "No Reverse Engineering" term of a company's TOS. Personally, I could hope that you wouldn't, especially if you went to work for Jagex, but even I don't know what would happen there, so I was assuming worst case. Sorry for that headache. :( ~Mr. Devnull -
Off-topic, but must be replied to: Packer15, even though Pmods are the only ones that can join the main clan, their channel is open to all users. Also, such a clan depends on the normal users of RuneScape helping the Pmods of 'Ad Busters' by sending them targeting info with which to find and end an ad bot's spamming and disturbance to normal function of the game. Hope to see you in there, helping everyone. 8-) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

I agree. This sounds like something that should be added to the idea, because it can be helpful, as well as rather professional and nice-looking. :) ~Mr. Devnull
