Movies that deserve sequels
I couldn't agree more. What happened to Rocky's brain damage from the Drago fight (from Rocky IV) that was spoken about so much in Rocky V? Suddenly his head is no longer damaged and he can take round upon round of crushing head blows again.

the "DID you know?".....post
I didn't say they won any wars. I just pointed out another facts. However as you already put those words into my mouth, I gotta point out the Spain civil war. Plus the Italian-Abyssinian war.

There are a hell of alot of things I've done that I don't remember doing, most of the time I wish I hadn't done them at all. Just a typical weekend :D .

Day 4: The Future of Computing
Funny, I touched on this in one of my uni essays a while back (I'm doing a degree in Publishing). It's the way of the future but I'm personally unsure about the time it will take for these to become popular. The technology is coming on leaps and bounds but theres alot of factors that might limit the speed of it's adoption - currently the cost of implementing the system is high which makes it a considerable risk for publishers, the quality of display needs to get better (although this is improving virtually daily) and customers at the moment are unwilling to change from reading off of traditional paper but this is likely to lessen gradually every year. Eventually though I can see this becoming more and more popular - once it becomes cost effective (which it will in time) it will save publishers so much money in terms of paper, ink, distribution costs etc. It just depends on the willingness of the market to adopt thne technology

Worrying about the future
You think you have it bad? I'm a kick in the backside off of 20 (in August but I'm making a point here) and I still don't have a clue what I really want to do. There's no need to panic, you're 15 and have the rest of your life to figure out what you want to do - there is no rush.

Day 3: Asia's Slaves
I'm all for animal rights (within reason - I hate alot of what Peta do) but your right we should think first about people. Don't get me wrong I think animals shouldn't be abused, tortured or mis-treated but you have to look towards people first. It amazes me that so many people are completely ignorant to the things that people do to each other around the world. It's like people live in their own little perfect bubble where nothing negative ever happens or maybe it's just that they don't care. This topic reminds me of the thing I saw on the news a few months back about how people donate more money to animal charities than they do towards most other types of charity (I know thats vague but I can't remember the details to be honest). I suppose it's easier to create sympathy for a little little puppy than it is for somebody who has learning difficulties. I'm kind of going off-topic with my rant here - probably because my mate got put in the hospital the other night after he and his old man got jumped. I'm just venting in a way.

Impossible! Grrr ;)
Thats one suicide inducing film. Whoever though that they could make a great & exciting film about people sitting at a desk while furiously hitting keys needs a slap.

The Undisputed King Predator (animal kingdom)
I'd go with the Tiger, as far as I know it's bigger and stronger than Lions so it has to be the best big cat. Plus I was watching a nature programme where a Tiger was fighting a crocodile and defeated it easily therefore giving it an even mightier reputation. I thought there was a rule against posting real life pictures of yourself (sorry couldn't resist).

Ordered and received. CD's and DVD's.
You should see Infernal Affairs (the film that The Departed is based on), the departed is a good watch but IA is better in my opinion. Then again it depends on your tolerance for subtitles (since I know alot of people who just despise them).

Scarface
The Al Pacino version or the Paul Muni original Scarface film?

Day 1: Ten Days, Ten Threads
Normally this is the sort of 'gimmicky' idea that I hate but it seems that you've put alot/ or are putting a lot of thought into the idea behind the topics. Therefore I think it might be a good idea, I'm looking forward to seeing some decent and interesting topics in here.

bnp part 2
A vote for the BNP is a vote for racial intolerance and general xenophobia no matter how they or anybody else tries to spin it. There is no discussion here, they are bigots. Also assassin, you made the exact same point about the parallels about the Nazi and the BNP that I was just about to.

So, how hard is university?
It's nowhere near as hard as it gets built up to be when your in high school. All their rubbish about university being unbelievably difficult had me so nervous when I was going into my first year of uni but I made it through it and I've just finished my 2nd year exams. It's harder than high school but it's not too much of a step up because the classes are all relating to one another (like incest). As long as you attend classes, pay attention and ask question when you need to then you'll be fine

Have you seen any celeberties?
I could have as well. The Queen was in a town near mine a few years back when I was there shopping. However, she really doesn't interest me all that much and I don't agree with the principle of Monarchy so I didn't bother going. Although, it made the shopping far less busy than it normally is so she allowed me to shop in relative peace.

UEFA Champions League/Cup - Euro 2008 - Leagues & Cups
I thought the same when Smith left, but they appointed the right man who I think can motivate the team in the same way, McLeish. It's not just the manager though, it's the players too. Under Berti Vogts I struggled to pick a first XI that I would feel is a good team. Now I can do it easy with loads of decent players to spare. Though don't think we'll manage to pull off the points necessary though to gain qualification, we can still be proud that we have a decent footballing nation again :) Yeah, I just don't think Mcleish is a capable manager. I know he did ok at Rangers in his first couple of seasons, but with the amount of cash that was being thrown at him, it was kinda hard to mess up (which he did in spectacular fashion during his last season at Rangers). Now he's managing Scotland where money doesn't mean anything... I don't think he has a chance, especially after Tommy Burns bolted from the stables lol. Actually he didn't really have much of a transfer budget at all (by Rangers standards). Remember he came in right after Advocaat's mega spending years so Rangers were looking for somebody to work on a limited budget. You could argue he inherited alot of the big money signings that Advocaat bought but he still didn't have too much to throw around. Anyway, who else would take/be capable of doing the job? There aren't that many Scottish managers (the SFA wanted a Scot) who have the ability, the experience and are willing to do the job.

Im too woried about death to even sleep
I'm 19 and I still get like that occasionally. I don't know what it is, it might be mild depression (or in your case probably (pre)teen angst. I wish I could give you advice to get over it but if I was able to then I wouldn't get in the same state myself. All I can say is that the feeling will pass in a few days, just try to find something to occupy your mind.

action movies
Lol, damn you, you've put me in the mood to watch some John Woo classics. I'm going to have to buy them now.

UEFA Champions League/Cup - Euro 2008 - Leagues & Cups
It's still possible but I don't think our fate is in our own hands. If we win our remaining games against the Faroe Islands, Georgia & Lituania we'll have a chance. We'll have to hope for a few draws in the games involving France, Italy & Ukraine and we are in with a shout. Saying that we might need one or two points against one of those big three - our best bet is getting a a point from Ukraine (hopefully Shevchenko will keep messing up). To qualify from this group would be an achievement, it's easily the group the "group of death" (I hate using that cliche).

Polish man wakes up after 19 years in Coma [Untrue? Page 2!]
I read in a newspaper today (in an article about this) that the worlds longest coma lasted 37 years and was caused by complications during an appendix removal operation. Think about that the next time you're up for a 'routine' operation.

Ordered and received. CD's and DVD's.
I just bought the Infernal Affairs Trology Boxset and Serpico on dvd
