In my opinion, Defence is underrated and weak. Having 99 defence, I believe defence pures should have something to combat Att and Str pures. Something like Blocks/Dodges/Parries. When you hit 99 you get the ability to do these and say you're fighting someone 99 strength 70 att, and you parry. Due to their low att they do not overcome your parry and you're able to 'overpower' them, doing a generous amount of damage. And say you block, because of their strength, they have to ability to power through your block, negating it completely. The higher your att, the more chance you can, say, overpower their overpower, doing a large amount of damage. I believe that would make defence more desirable.

Strength.

Take a look at my stats. I get this all the god damn time. I just say "My [wagon] doesn't fit on the bandwagon." Most of the time they don't understand and they walk away. :thumbsup: Also, when I'm in BH worlds and they fight me, how is it they call me a defence noob and end up running? Doesn't that just make them 1. Bads 2. Morons 3. Immature 12 year olds?

To be honest, stop training slayer. It isn't worth doing without 80+ defence.

You don't get a 99 just for the sake of having a 99. You get a 99 because you enjoy the skill.

Try a lock pick.

I wear this: [hide=Slay Gear] [/hide] Along with a bunyip and it works fine. Wear whatever you can afford.

I'd prefer a christmas event like the one from 2005. It actually took time and was fun. All the events lately have been bad. Really, really bad.

How hard exactly would it be to get Defence 99 without high str and atk? :blink: Not that hard at all. I managed 60k exp/hr and AZ's for the last 2 levels and 50kish from Slayer. Defence > Attack > Str

Skip Strength, and train Defence. Either through slayer or armoured zombies. Armoured zombies won't make much money but are very fast, while slayer is slower and you'll make lots more money.

I think it'll be a Slayer Guild with a new monster that drops a new item. Personally, I think it will be a 80+ Monster that drops the equivalent to the Black Mask/Slayer Helm, but for ranging. Because of all this Kuradal business (Personally, I've seen her...but only for a split second) It makes the most sense for it to be a Slayer update, most likely a guild. All the clues point to it. The "Guild content and slayer update" that was supposed to be put in this month, and her wearing a slayer cape. We'll just have to wait and see.

I run it at maximum in HD and I find i only use 40% CPU usage. Dunno whats wrong with yours

I've killed over 500 Tormented demons without a claw or slice/shard/lump drop, I'm down to believing that the statistics in this game are complete bs. It's all based on luck.

If the defence level in your signature is correct, they'd absolutely rip you apart. I only recommend tanking for 90+ defence as you'd be getting hit for 30's all over the place. You should use proselyte and pray range.

Whip + Dfs or rune defender and SGS for specs. Or, Sara Sword. Buy guthans, get a bunyip, and you won't need an sgs. Otherwise, they're too slow to be good.

What is the approx. drop rate for Dragon Claws? I've killed about 500 of the things without any luck and was wondering if that was normal or abnormal.
