  1. So would I. Good thing we have armored zombies that will make you much, much more GP then slayer will. Think of how rich you would be had you used them :ohnoes: I have no idea what armored zombies are but I'm not sure that they would bring 200m in the course of maxing out. *sigh* Please read my posts before responding. And no, they wouldn't bring in 200m, but in the time slayer would it would be around 600m. But it might not be as fun, depending on your style of play
  2. Even if you didn't splash, the damage rate would probably be too low for the cost. That being said, I've been doing some MASSIVE questing (MEP 1&2 yesterday evening as well as 26 out of the 36 more QP needed for WGS), and though I'm gone this weekend, I should be finished with WGS by wednesday of next week at the latest. I'll be off to demons to try every imaginable tactic there. I can tell you this, though: You should have gotten 88 summoning. Unicorn is the holy grail, and I can't wait to try pack yak + unicorn for epic 80 kill trips 8-)

Which, of course, she isn't. Unless it's a bot your talking to, those pixels represent an actual person and should be treated as such.
  5. Any time one persons gameplay is changed, they claim that change has 'ruined' the game for them. PKers were forced to change and adopt new tactics, therefore they though it was 'ruined'. People who don't like the community claim it was more mature etc. etc. blah blah even when it wasn't. Time heals all wounds.
  6. 1/450 Then again, my personal rate is 1/175 with 22 whips. But I got epicly lucky at first, with my 1st whip coming in 13 kills and average less then 1/130 for the first 10 Still, the average rate is 1/450 with ROW, 1/500 w\o. So yeah, your friend has about a 63% chance of having gotten one by now. Not that big, just don't give up and work through the dry streak

We're talking about items already lost, and I haven't seen a single difference yet ;) Well RWT is the only difference. Player A makes $22.5/h and spends it on gold at the rate of 1m/$2.5. Player A makes 9m/h Player B makes 1m/h honestly. The value in time of runescape objects can vary greatly. Time lost = items lost. DO NOT RWT THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE No different in the real world, a doctor could spend an hour making $70, while a coal miner makes less hten that in a full 8 hour day with far harder labor ;) But if your a doctor, money is worth less (not worthless) to you because you can make it back easier. I have no clue what im saying though... Same for a RWTer. It's all an exact parallel, it's almost impossible to separate based on characteristics alone. My point: While not the same exact thing, it's on par with real world items, and it certainly is a 'big deal'.

  9. Yay, daemon problems. I didn't like the generic "server problems" explanation. It's too open to the "TIF IS GETTING HACKZORED" assumption. That being said, we've been down an unusual number of times in the past few weeks. It usually happens at off peak times, but I can name at least 6 different cases where the forums were offline for over 10 minutes. Then again, they're not that high volume, and the users are forgiving, so it's not a big deal. I can't imagine the admins make much from advertising\donating, so I'm impressed as it is =D>

None of those relate to losing items. It's not death we're complaining about, it's loss of items. I can hardly believe I'm trying to prove that there's no difference between Runescape and life, but when it comes right down to it there aint much of a difference :?

True, but it's still my time. Telling me that my time is as trivial as a dancing pixel is a slap to the face. It's like telling someone with a Ph.D that their diploma "is only paper". What an ego. We're not defining real life vs. RS here, we're simply defining that items in RuneScape were not as simple to accrue as the common idea misleads people. Yes, I play RS in my spare time, but if you were to simply take my achievements away (so-called 'pixels'), I know that I'd be pissed. Achievments? You play Runescape because its fun. If you die, it may be inconvienient but you still had fun, right? Thats what some people cant seem to understand. Runescapes supposed to be fun, not a chore you have to go through so you can buy a Party Hat or whatever. How can you possibly say that you wasted "your" time if you had fun? If dieing was truly as bad as losing a diploma or heaps of money then Jagex would take it out alltogether. What's the point of life? I could post the Christian meaning, or just to give awareness to the universe. Ok, theological debates aside (I'm strictly Christan myself, but this is a hypothetical discussion so I'm allowed to look beyond that  ), what's the difference between that and RS?
  13. Pretty sure it's an attack boost too. 10% and 20% are usually good numbers to assume for a boost, I would guess 20% would be correct. Note that it's a HIT boost, NOT a strength boost - a 20% strength boost equal (roughly) 10% hit boost; it's a distinction most people don't' make.

  15. Don't remember anything about that, but that's completely separate from the account files...

So is life. But if you quit the game not much happens and if you quit life... :? Depends... Quit the game, and move on to the next thing, if there is one. Quit life, and move on to the next thing, if there is one.
  17. That's a bit harsh. No server is entirely hack-proof. There are plenty of things you can do to minimize the danger of being hacked, but the only way it's "100% your fault" is if you went around in-game yelling out "my password is "<whatever>". Hack me" Ever heard of a Jagex server breach? Yeah, neither have I. For the very few skilled enough to break into them, there's two options: Break into Jagex servers and get a high level RS account, risking long jail times if caught, or break into a bank's servers and get a few dozen credit card numbers then retire, risking long jail times if they get caught. Jagex servers have never been, and will never be hacked.
  18. 1:47 for the whole quest, including reading one of the hardest mirrors 'cause I put a mirror in one of the wrong columns and had to reset the entire thing -.- Started off with 550 terrorbird scrolls, used almost 200 :ohnoes:
  19. Two possible reasons or both: #1, FTP high level is slightly underpowered #2, It's the standard cooperate BS. Gonna go with #2. If it's "people with large cerebrums", they'll realize how unbalanced magic has made the game and (hopefully) nerf it to bring it in line with other combat styles.
  20. But adjusting the probability of one number is much simpler then adjusting it for a series of numbers.
  21. Generating random numbers is simple, it's much easier to generate another one then make a complex formula designed to boost certain drop rates - and it's far ease to scale through different monsters or add on other drops.
  22. No, I'm saying it's possible but would have to be much more complex then simply having two drop tables. With lack of any other evidence, the simplest explanation wins.
  23. I've been using it to help me click faster for years. Mouse with right hand + touchpad with left = epic clicking speed.
