I don't quite see how giving FTP forums has to do with 'maintaining the game running'. Like I said, the ONLY reason for FTP to get an update is to make people go PTP - any update that does not accomplish that is wasting my money.

Yes. He needs to have a bandos item. Since he's praying melee, the only attack he's getting hit with is range and mage; torags legs and bandos tassets both have -4 mage defence but tassets have 1 higher range and +1 prayer. And the +2 strength doesn't hurt either.

FTP NEEDS LESS NOT MORE!!! Actually, I think they could do with more. It's just plain frustrating when your FTP, more likely to make you quit then become a member.

But by running the numbers above, FTPers account for approx. 42% of overall server use. Also, subtract main page adds that both PTP and FTP go through on the main page from the 7% advertising revenue. It's not rocket science. The rate at which FTPers come up with great ideas for PTP is considerably less then the rate at which PTPers come up with great ideas for PTP. The reasons are fairly obvious. The more noise and spam there is, the faster real suggestions get lost.

But since we're not removing those people, they are still contributing. And if indeed they won't pass their creative talent down to their children, we wouldn't need to worry about it anyway - you don't hear much about Bach's children.

A few hundred FTP players on the forums indeed won't increase server costs that much. 250,000 FTP players on the forums will. SQL queries and database searching, to say nothing of storage and archiving, all take up a considerable amount of processing power.

Mage cape is perfect IMO, I really like it. I don't see the point in wasting programming time for something that's just a matter of opinion. Look at the summoning cape, too complex and we end up with glitches that have to be resolved.

Not a chance. You'll be lucky to get 3-4 kills, especially with only a terrorbird. You really need higher stats or you'll never hit him and get owned by the minions.

But the fact that they are a company, formed to make money, does. Not sure without knowing their market data. Perhaps they were convincing players that members stuff wasn't all that great, or was removing some of the mystery. I'm not making a big deal about it, just a single post saying I don't like the direction Jagex is moving. The rest of my posts were backing up and proving every part of that first post. I don't need to prove profit is being lost, all I need to prove is that expensive are increasing. And since servers, maintenance, electricity, bandwidth, and man power are not free, I've already proven it.

In the 800 hours for maxed including summoning, it works out to 3 XP per hour - within statistica variance for my numbers anyway, so it doesn't matter. I got 8 hilts from bandos not on slayer.
