Yes it does buy for alch price BUT price drops very rapidly. I went to sell Maple Longs (u) to him (192 ea) and after 50, it was down to the bottom price of 32. Rouge Den's store also works.

Chances are, they're not going to sell for a very very long time. The 5% does work but JaGEx implemented price floors, and Yew Longs hit one of them. This price floor is at 11/12th of the high alch price. The price will never change as long as they're using that formula.
