  1. What do you mean? We're not exactly behind in technology, being the founding country of Linux and Nokia...
  2. If you're developing a website and want it to be valid XHTML, you go to the WC3 site and give it the address. It sends a bot (Labeled on phpBB as a validater) to the website to get the XHTML, so that you can validate it. That's the idea with a validator.
  3. If I'm reading that right, it would be for all intent and purpose a "Mobile Theme" for the forum... Right? :-s ~D. V. "You have my interest perked." Devnull Yeah, basically you just take out CSS to remove the images, and replace the buttons with links. Dumb down the editor to a text box and submit, etc. But the topic icons work fine once you have them cached.

  5. Sounds like something like Greasemonkey or stylish to me, I don't know what it would be doing on Chrome though.
  6. Yeah. :P It really looks interesting.
  7. Wait... Internet in Japan is Free?
  8. I actually have quite a bit of experience with this. For the first I don't know how long when I joined TIF, I posted from a Nokia E61. One solution would be to make a skin that's as basic as possible, as well as disable all pictures. In fact, I could actually do that if anyone wants.
  9. Has happened to me. It went away though. If it's still there after visiting the inbox... Well, I don't really need to say this but in that case something's wrong.
  10. I'm wearing mine right now, came yesterday. For the first time in my life, I am in style. :D
  11. Yes, welcome back! :D Some pretty nice fractals you've got there, I would recommend you try out Apophysis, and possibly the 3d plugin.
  12. Nice. I hope they update the ubuntu.com deb archives with it soon, I've been waiting for this. (Strangely enough, they didn't update the Gimp 2.6 debs until... Well, I don't know.) Open source for the win.
  13. Two inches and 540,000 pixels is quite a large difference.
  14. I would not recommend either of those. The first, 24", because by buying that you're getting ripped off. I wouldn't pay more than about 350$ for a 24" screen. And the second, because the pixel density of that one is bad, as it is with all 22" monitors with 1680x1050 as a native resolution. Or maybe I'm being a perfectionist. Oh yeah, and the price is bad. I suggest you check something on http://newegg.com/ , they can have more reasonable prices.
  15. Indeed, I can imagine it could.

  18. Oh god we don't want this topic again, stop. Now. Speak for yourself.
