Mass-Pming Update:3.0.3 includes all the features speculated
(tl;dr at the bottom) I notice that normal users don't have the permissions to mass pm. (To send the same PM to more than one person at once.) I don't think that the max number of recipients should be unlimited but something like 3 per pm/per minute would be really useful, while limiting abuse. I have mass pmed once before here, it was really, really tiring. And now there's something I'd like to discuss with the 11 members of my shop on the Art Bazaar, and I don't want to send out that many one by one. Also, it's more like a thread that people can reply to so that everyone else can see than a one-on-one conversation that I have to update everyone else on every single time someone says something of importance or interest. It would be nice to have it even higher (Like 5) but obviously that could be abused. tl;dr: Only being able to send one pm at a time when you need to mass-pm is annoying. Opinions?

Tipit logo at the top left of the page
I noticed that too, and am in favor of it being changed back to what it was before the rollback. Helps people navigate to the main site.

Some fun with your last name
They don't have any data for Finland. I typed in the most common Finnish surnames and nothing came up. And I know pryo's last name! :o (Like it wasn't obvious from his post.)

I finished up my shop work now, Imma shut down Linux, start up Vista and go 'shopping on this now. I'll see what happens. Edit: Here's kind of a rough WIP/Idea of what I'm thinking of doing.

[!]Mayweather Vector (WIP) V.5 70% Completed
^ I hate the pentool in PS enough, adding a 3rd dimension sounds awful... Gimp pentool FTW. It looks good so far, be sure to update us on the progress.

Chad197: [img=http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm279/dsavi_x4/fractalsigdone.jpg] I'm not really sure I like the way it turned out... I really suck at fractals. A c4d is slang for 3d render, like this. It's used by the artist to give color and shape to the signature. I suppose so, although it would probably be easier to work with just one as blending multiple renders kind of complicates it.

What do you think?
Interesting style, we seem to have mostly grungy/abstract stuff around here as has been previously mentioned. The vectors are a bit simple, though.

Doing that, Shiny. Chad197, I'm just about done with your sig btw.

Blarg, No Webbernetz! Rawr!
Being a typical '90s kid, I can't remember a time without the intrawebz.

"Spamming the topic with warnings?" Now I haven't heard that one before.

Make new users unable to post topics
^That thing that you described is possible, all forums can be set to do a very wide range of different things.

It's probably just something configured wrong with your router.

Parental Controls, are you cursed by them?
As I said here earlier, I am cursed when I'm using my parent's computer. But I have my own computer, they don't have any power over it so I can do whatever I want. Fun (In a way) fact: In beta versions of Loghorn [Known today as Vista] what is now known as "user account controls" was "user account protection". And UAC in Vista is strong, I haven't managed to get past it, not even with proxies. At school, we can't even change the desktop background, because right clicks on the desktop aren't allowed... Or can we? Our administrator didn't block the entire control panel, so I just got it through there. I have so far managed to install Blender 3D, the GIMP, and Firefox on a USB stick that I carry around with me, but our administrator has blocked windows+R, so I can't get to cmd anymore, which is my current project. The security they use at school is standard Windows Server 2005 security as far as I know. None of the internet is blocked; Teachers use YouTube in lessons to demonstrate things (Like in chemistry, our teacher used it to show us a chemical reaction that was too dangerous and expensive to do in class) so our admin doesn't block it, and other things like that, because he wants everything to be available, in case the teachers need it, and he can't block off every flash game site that the 6th graders use. (It's a elementary and secondary/middle/high school in the same area.)

Are you a cat or a dog person?
Dog, definitely. In fact, my dog is laying right next to me right now. :D

Sure. Also, I'm starting right now on that fractal-based sig. Edit: Rendered the fractal at 3,000 quality, took my comp nearly half an hour.

Three Back Grounds I Made
As others have said, lack of blending, too simple, etc. But If you want really high quality fractals to use, use Apophysis, the best program of its kind (Which is also free.) It can take over 15 minutes to render them, but the results are far better than that of any other fractal rendering program I've seen. Also, get GIMP. PDN is completely useless compared to it, even if PDN's interface is more friendly. Edit: 2222 posts. :P

Photography Thread II
I found Digital SLR to be very interesting and informative, it's not one of those "Photography for beginners" ones that I keep running in to.

Best. Quote. EVAR!
He's the leader of a communist rebellion party secretly amassing an army of monkeys to do his bidding. :ohnoes: Both of you actually mean "Stalinist" there instead of communist; I usually don't correct people on things like that but these are not to be confused.

C++ and other skills
I would recommend the c++ module for Eclipse, even though I don't know anything about it at all, I have used it for some n00b Java and the UI is great. Of course, it's free.

Google Chrome
FF2 is pretty old, I wouldn't think that they would compare it there.

I haven't heard kaatui (English, directly translated: "fell", as in fall in past tense) used as crash in Finnish before... Only "krashaa". :P

I use FireFox portable on the school computers, I hate IE so much. It kills TIFblack.
