  1. I only own one proper bottle of aftershave. CK one.
  2. I thought it might have something to do with how many requests each browser sends. I'm sure IE can only send something like 2 requests to the same server at the same time. Where-as Firefox can send a lot more. Tested the theory with Firefox at work on another machine. I put Firefox down to 2 requests, although the speed did decrease quite a bit. It still wasn't anywhere near as slow as IE. When I get home I'll set up a Virtual machine and try the site out with IE7 and maybe IE5.5.
  3. Carving a shelter in the side of a cliff? Chaingun. Writing "HELP" in the sand on the beach? Chaingun. Making a raft? Chaing.. oh, wait.. Take out the bullets, they can be used as rope!
  4. Running a quick format will wipe the drive in about 15 - 20 seconds max. Installing Windows XP on the other hand can take up to 2 hours on a really slow PC. Not to mention installing drivers and software afterwards. If you're doing it for your first time, I'd set aside up to a maximum of 5 hours. And before anyone gets on at me for saying to quick format, yes I know it doesn't remove the information from the drive. Yes I know that it just says to the computer you can write data here and no it won't harm the hardrive.
  5. Well that's interesting... How would you clear the cache on a PC using MSJVM? Tis what I use at home. :
  6. 120MPH+ (193.1KM/H) on the motorway... When traffic allows it of course, I am actually a fairly 'safe' driver... Just a tad bit fast. :-$
  7. Weak a** kids. They just don't build them like they used to. Then again, I'm basing my information from an ad campaign for speeding over here. Basic premise of it was, young girl gets hit at 40mph, she dies. Tape reverses and the car hits her again at 30mph and she lives. So in truth, little Johnny is a wuss. :P PS. My speeds are actually safe. PSS. RICK! You didn't even bother converting, if anything my "safe" speeds are about the same as yours. :P
  8. Loaded chaingun. Cutting down a tree? Chaingun. Killing a wild animal? Chaingun. Starting a fire? Chaingun. Shooting down a plane with a radio, to use said radio? Chaingun. I'm a bit crazy. : Edit: For some reason Imageshack removed the picture. :-k
  9. 4 seconds to open/display main site. 5 seconds to open gallery link. Windows 2000 & IE 6.0.2800.1106CO. Using the works corporate connection too, so it's not limited here. Opens a standard link in just under 2 seconds. So yeah, it is a bit on the slow side. :-s
  10. I think that's clear enough. Quite frankly though, I wouldn't have chosen a Mac. But hey, personal preference right?
  11. Meh, careful driving is boring. I prefer my style... Agressive driving. People stop for me, people avoid me and people don't like me (on the road). Just think though, if you'd been going over the limit like 30 - 40, you wouldn't have gotten crashed into. =D> Here's a small portion of "Chris' school of driving". Speed limits and your limits. 20MPH (32.19KM/H) zone - Generally around schools and small housing areas. Your speed: 30+MPH (48.28+KM/H), if the kids are stupid enough to jump out, they're stupid enough to be hit. It won't kill them, just hurt really bad. Then they won't jump out in front of cars anymore then, will they? 30MPH (48.28KM/H) zone - Normal everyday speed limit for towns/cities. Your speed: 40MPH (64.37KM/H), 30 just doesn't seem fast enough. Not like an adult's going to run out in front of you, because they already got hit by a car when they were kids. 40MPH (64.37KM/H) zone - Non residential areas, usually industrial estates where roads aren't crossed. Your speed: 50+MPH (80.47+KM/H), let loose the beast. Like anyone is going to be crossing anyway... Cyclists? Ignore them... 50MPH (80.47KM/H) zone - Never figured this one out, probably used to be a 60 but they though it was safer because some idiot got killed. Your speed: 70MPH~ (112.7KM/H~), Like I said probably was a 60MPH (96.56KM/H) zone at some point. 60MPH (96.56KM/H) - National non-motorway speed limit. Your speed: Depends on the road, very well built and maintained? 70 - 90MPH (112.7KM/H - 144.8KM/H), country road where the local council decided they couldn't be bothered figuring out a speed limit? 60MPH (96.56KM/H) MAX. 70MPH (112.7KM/H) - National motorway speed limit. Your speed: 90+MPH (144.8+KM/H), they built them for high usage and high speed anyway? So what's the point in going slow? If you do decide to use the speed limit on a motorway, don't use the fast lane and think you're going fast. Edited for KM/H aswell, forgot not everyone uses stoneage methods of measuring speed. #-o
  12. CPU: I'm not sure how well it'd work with a dual core processor, but if you have a single core, running 'CPU Stability Test' from http://pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,7 ... ption.html for 24 hours would be my best option. If it runs that for 24 hours without rebooting then you know the processor is stable. Generally I liked to run it overnight on brand new computers that we had built. Obviously if it had reboot when we came in, I'd have just swapped out the processor or checked the heatsink/fan. Remember to set it to Hardcore in the options OCCT and Prime95 are also great programs, but I'd really only use them if I were overclocking. HDD: Never used it myself, but I found this on a Google search, 'MHDD 4.6' from here http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/be_hdd.html - The homepage doesn't appear to be there anymore, but the download straight from the link above is working. You'll need a floppy drive and a spare floppy disk to use it though. RAM: Memtest86+ from http://www.memtest.org/#downiso would be your best bet in terms of testing and if you loop it, you could call it stressing. Can be downloaded and burned to a CD. GFX: Any demo version of 3DMark, depending on your card. If you have a high spec card, then try '05. If you have a high spec card with shader model 3.0 try out '06. If your card is mid-ranged, go for '03 and last of all, if your card isn't really for gaming, try '01. Just go into the options and let it loop. In my opinion these are the only parts you need to stress as they're the ones that create the most heat. Have fun with testing, to be honest I don't see the point in it anymore. If there's a problem, I'll find it sooner rather than later anyway. :
  13. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q= ... rate&meta= = http://www.petri.co.il/change_mouse_whe ... l_rate.htm If you don't know how to get into the registry, go to Start -> Run -> Type in 'regedit'. That will open the registry editor, then just use it as you would use 'Windows Explorer'. Navigate to the above setting and double click it to change it. Type in the new figure and I'm guessing you'd have to reboot for changes to take effect.
  14. Sure you can format, you just can't put Windows back on your PC without the CD. :P Borrow one from a mate, as long as you have your cd-key you're awright to use any XP home CD.
  15. its 276 bhp @ 6500 RPM :-w I thought that sounded fishy because on Top Gear they said there was a 340 one, so I looked on wikipedia and it seems that here in the UK there are indeed ones which come in at 320, 340 and 400 BHP - named the FQ320, FQ340 and FQ400 respectively. Yup, wouldn't mind an Evo IX FQ360 though, might have less power than the flagship Evo VIII. But I like it's backend more.
  16. I know you're not a girl. ^_^ Dang, Lion's not a girl... And I was being so nice to her/him! :wall: Edit: Swear word got censored to something without proper grammar... Replaced it.
  17. Hmm, 4.5 years. Damn I suck. Then again, the older people will know I've not been here for the whole amount of time. In fact you could probably take off a full year for certain unruly things.
  18. Americans only then? :/ Not like I'll ever own an American muscle car, as you guys put the steering wheels on the wrong side. :wall: I love Japanese cars, I wouldn't say I'm into tuner cars... But I'd love to work my way up to an Evo or Impreza. At the moment I'm just working on handling what little power I have from my Vauxhall Calibra. Once I manage to keep that under control. I'll think about an upgrade. To be honest, the thing that interests me about cars. Isn't how fast they go. It's how well you can control them. Especially with the most recent stuff coming out of Japan. Hell I'd even love to try out an old(ish) R34. Would have to be a GTR though. =D> I know for a fact that I'd depend more on the electronics in a car than my own driving ability, as I've already noticed the difference power steering has had on me. My first three cars didn't have it... I drove my mum's car the other day and it was near impossible for me to turn the wheel. :XD: Anyway enough rambling. Time for bed.
  19. Used to? Runesmithie's the biggest girl I know. :|
  20. Nintendo handhelds are made for two things in my opinion... Mario and Pokemon.
  21. Chris

    WWE!

Back when I was wee, Ultimate Warrior. When I was about 14/15, Kane. Now, I don't watch Wrestling anymore... Unless it's womens. =D>
  22. DragonBall - No, apart from maybe 3 or 4 episodes... Didn't like the lack of DBZ style action. DragonBall Z - Yes, all English and all Japanese episodes. All movies and all specials... Sue me, I love DBZ. : DBGT: Yes, all Japanese episodes, although being in the same boat with kid Goku. SSJ4 Goku IS and will be the best character in the DragonBall universe for all time. Apart from maybe Gogeta in DBZ movie 12. Also watched the DBGT movie. So apart from asking us if we watch/ed it, anything else that you want to specify. If not, this topic won't last very long.
  23. Everything else looks ok... I'd say yes, still. Wait for someone else to have a look. Two heads are better than one.
  24. Nothing looks too obvious... Remove O16 - DPF: {886DDE35-E955-11D0-A707-000000521958} - http://69.56.176.78/webplugin.cab Supposedly some sort of Trojan Downloader... - http://www.castlecops.com/atxlist-1628.html Someone else can check it when they have time. I'm sort of tired at the moment so I may have missed something.
