  1. At the moment, magic is more secondary, and that needs fixing. If there was some kind of very accurate, speedy and powerful 'knockback' spell which relied solely on the caster's magic attack and ignored the victims magic defense, which could only affect someone two or fewer squares away, it would negate the problem of d'hide meleers. The important thing about magic as a primary combat skill is that it should be next to impossible to get near enough a mage to swing a godsword at him/her. Distance is the ultimate defence against meleers, and this needs to be readily available to mages.

Tonight we made a huge bonfire (And yes, Cadburys, I thought of you), launched a few fireworks, had a barbecue, cooked up some bangers, nearly singed my eyebrows off, and had a great time. It poured with rain, but we didn't care.
  3. [/hide] What's the second part of the 'returned' box for? You can't lend money. Happy Now? Lol, only joking. Didn't think of that, image changed. Awesome, good job.
  4. They should be reminded that the Player Gallery and the Postbag from the Hedge does not count as an update, only about half of the content is actual Jagex effort, and even if you count player contribution, there is not enough stuff there to be of real long-term interest to the average 'scaper. Also they should keep the really minor updates (bugfixes etc.) as regular instead of waiting to bundle it with the big ones.

Top five (Although I couldn't order them): - Hot Fuzz - The Dark Knight (Watch it in IMAX, or else.) - Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - Bicentennial Man (Yes, I actually love this one. I don't care what anyone else thinks.) - Monty Python: The Life of Brian There's plenty of other ones which I would really like to be on that list too.

Need a moment? *passes around twixes*

  8. I noticed that too but didn't remember to hit print screen. It's a funny glitch.
  9. The game is only ruined if you allow others to ruin it for you. I do things how I want, and I do not constantly skill if I don't enjoy it. The only non-combat skill which I really have enjoyed is hunter, so I will level it to 70, and I will enjoy it. No matter what you do, you can not stop me from enjoying something.
  10. The Jagex mods are aware now \ What the... awesome! \
  11. Agreed. Not only that, it would then be impossible to have NPCs to appear only at night time as they would have to be present for some people and not others, then you'd have to have two versions of the same world, and all that. It's too much trouble. Keep it servers side, and I would prefer all the worlds to follow the same cycle, but it should be a 20 hour day so people aren't stuck with day or night. You shouldn't be able to choose what time it is, you'd defeat the objective of realism. Consider night-time on, say, the Wilderness Agility course... you wouldn't be able to see a thing! Jagex would have to make it optional simply to stop people having to strain their eyes/not be able to make things out. Yes, the update would have to be bundled with some light sources which actually emit proper light instead of just increasing the brightness of the screen.
  12. I like this idea, it's illogical that they have to be put in two different screens.

When I throw a particularly large piece of wood onto the raging inferno tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you.

Probably the most well known 'hidden feature' of the £ sterling notes are that they all have watermarks of the queen, but they have tons of other things. For example, on either side of all the notes the number value is fragmented, but if you hold it up to the light the pieces come together to form the whole number. But those are the obvious ones, there's loads of other thingummywats and various doo-dahs if you have a look around.

I got tonsillitis two years ago. It's a horrible thing to come down with. Basically, your tonsils just swell up, you get really thirsty no matter what you drink, and just swallowing is very painful. As an extra added bonus, it gets bundled with vomiting and diarrhoea. Luckily though, you build up a resistance to it, so I don't think I'll ever get it again.
  17. I don't see why they can't, after all, it is JaGEx (the hint's in the name) we're talking about. They could just set up a program which causes the fog colour and density in each area to follow a set repeating path according to the time. Sure, they'd have to do that for every area, but it's far from impossible. Just be glad that they don't have to deal with a sky... yet! :)
  18. We already have one, besides combat, Magic (High Alchemy). We even have a third tier skill: Construction! Woodcutting -> Fletching -> Magic (High Alchemy) -> Construction If there is a need for another activity which destroys the products of another skill, it should just go into already existing ones, such as Summoning or Construction. Otherwise, it usually boils down to alchemy or PvP combat.
  19. I'm sure something could be done to give an indication of the time, to give you warning when something is going to happen at night. You could even buy/sell/make/wear watches, which would make a little window with the time in Runescape appear in the corner of the interface, with varying degrees of accuracy. Sweetness! :D I think the event is proof that a day/night system is possible, and maybe even a date system as well? It would be useful for event co-ordination, you would just say the date and time in Runescape Standard Time, and everybody would know when it would happen regardless of timezone. I know I'm wildly speculating, but it is easily possible.
  20. Flesh it out first. What exactly are you suggesting goes into this spellbook?
  21. The lederhosen hat strikes again! Jagex really can't keep these bugs at bay, can they? :)
  22. It's supposed to be a useless yet decorative item for f2p, like all of the other holiday items you get. It would look good as part of a witch costume (black hat and robes?), much like the grim reaper hood looks good as part of a grim reaper costume. I thought half the point of the event was to emphasise this? By the way, that goulash was delicious.

Your plan to hunt red chins in pvp worlds would have probably worked if you had kept a Lumbridge or House Teletab on you, wore a ring of life (a phoenix necklace may help too) and took some food. Banking occasionally would have helped too. But having items on you that you're not willing to lose and not having any means of escape whatsoever on a PvP world was not the smartest thing you can do in the game.
  24. I noticed that too. Looks like N, M and G are going to go out of business. The picture at the bottom of the postbag is awesome.
