  1. The question is invalid because Adam and Eve is an allegory for the creation of humankind and the reason for sin, and therefore does not take place over a real timeline, as opposed to dinosaurs, which existed many millions of years ago. Why do we have toenails?
  2. Ever heard of punctuation? The combat triangle is unbalanced, and it will degrade with every update unless Jagex makes an effort to change their direction. They must not make more powerful weapons, and should aim to restore the qualities of each combat style. For example, meleers should not be able to get close to mages, even if they are wearing dragonhide. A month or so ago, I suggested a set of knockback spells which hit only opponents who are within a space of the caster, and ignore the opponent's magic defence, only relying on the caster's magic attack. They should cause no damage, but will stun for 10 seconds if successful and will send the opponent a maximum of four spaces away from the caster. A less powerful set (the four modern elements) should be for normal magics and a more powerful set (the four ancient elements, complete with effects) should be available for ancient magicks. I believe this would fix the melee-dragonhide problem.
  3. With the spelling in that title, this could be mistaken for a joke thread. But to answer the question, Firemaking by far, although that doesn't mean it is completely useless. Just, not as useful as the other skills. In my opinion it's also the skill with the most potential (think day/night).
  4. No need for a range when it's perfectly possible to bring a hatchet/logs and a tinderbox. In my opinion there are too many ranges in the game as it is. But, a bank would be appreciated.
  5. Holy cabbage that's a huge fine! No amount of spamming is worth a fine that big, surely! I guess this is a huge warning to spammers like him, but it's still not worth destroying someone's life. Seriously, $873 M?!? :o *faints*
  6. Heh, even the smallest mistake can have very bad consequences. I expect they mis-typed the world number.
  7. That should be possible too, but not everyone has a member friend willing to do that.
  8. Wrong! Lobster heals 12, swordfish heals 14 I liked finding the turkeys all on my own and the emote is surprisingly... Good. Yep, I think the best thing was the emote, which is pretty quality in HD.
  9. This guy has a point. What does it matter? If it doesn't survive for long, it wasn't good enough. If it does, it's good enough. We may as well just watch this space and see what happens. Ever held yourself back from starting a relationship with someone because you know they're leaving the state or the area? Not necessarily speaking from personal experience, but I know some people aren't interested in putting more time and effort into something if they know it won't be there (in at least the near to close) future. That's not quite the same. Such a popular game with a quickly increasing population not something which will suddenly disappear in a manner out of the player's control. If they want to play it, it will continue to exist. If people didn't want to play it, it would decline and ultimately disappear, but nobody will care any more. In your analogy, the potential girlfriend/boyfriend will have to leave in any case.

  11. In my opinion Angels & Demons was a better book than the Da Vinci Code, and has great potential as a movie. Let's just hope they don't mess up the book, but that might be wishful thinking.
  12. Good idea. Professional help seems to be the best option here, and I suggest that you make sure that she is helped. I feel very sorry for her, she seems like someone who has been a victim of the bad side of life. Don't let it get you down either, it is not your fault in any way. I wish her all the best.
  13. lol? How many people attend the midnight Eucharist, or follow advent without the need for 24 bits of chocolate to help them count? You don't have to be a practising Christian to know that Christmas is a Christian religious festival. Neither do you need to be religious.
  14. Yeah, it's a huge turkey invasion. If you try to kill one, two more step forward to take its place. :ohnoes:
  15. Boxers, I prefer it loose. There is nothing worse than... on second thought I won't go into the details.
  16. Happy Christmas, Merry Christmas, whatever. And we're going to continue saying it and nobody is going to stop us either. Generally we don't have this 'Holiday/Christmas' problem. Christmas is a Christian festival, that's why it's Christmas. Luckily most of us in the UK haven't forgotten this.
  17. I think making some sort of complaint, be it via a letter or face to face, is in order. I've heard of loads of other companies doing this, including energy companies.
  18. Awesome, it's going to take some serious questing and skilling just to get those huge requirements! Oh well, at least I'll have a proper goal to look forward to.
  19. Make it a really tiny part of fletching. Then yes, maybe I would support. I guess I could go for that... Just as long as it does not come with any kind of gp costs to have the arrows made... Why? Because the NPC is effectively getting the load of fletching exp, at least in a sense... :geek: ~D. V. "Works for me..." Devnull Maybe it should change according to the ge prices? If the arrows are worth more than the materials combined, you should pay the difference. If the arrows are worth less than the materials, he/she should pay you the difference. I think it's a fair tradeoff.
  20. If it's possible, try getting a version with a lighter shade, your ones are far too deep blue too look natural. And to be honest, brown looks good on you anyway. All I got is a weird grey/dull green, I'm considering filing a complaint. Nice green checkered tie btw.
  21. I think that Jagex has lost contact with the players, and have no idea what they want. They should at least try to find out: 'Ok, if there was some armour with these stats and these experience bonuses, would you use it?' 'If there was an item which randomly changed into different tools and gave these experience bonuses, lasted for this long, and cost this amount of time to obtain each, would you use it?' 'In the upcoming PvP worlds, which set of rules would you think would be the most enjoyable?' 'If there was this potion which boosted these skills but lowered these skills, and took this much effort to get, would you use it?' Dilute actual item ideas with plenty of red herring ideas, and there you go. Jagex has forgotten the importance of the players.
  22. I think it's because 99% of teachers up to 10th grade or so give out mainly A's and B's. So we think the average is a B+ or so, rather than a C. Which is okay, I guess. I mean, teachers don't want to give out many F's. Neither good for the student or for the teacher. But honestly, straight A's is nothing special any more. :? Yep, that's a big issue for my school too. Teachers are too inclined to give out artificially high scores in order to make them look like better teachers. But how can you convince a teacher to make it look like their entire class is lagging behind everyone else? I haven't been given a grade yet, but I'll know some solid ones in a week or two. I never knew how exactly the '4.0 scale' in America worked until now, we just get 5 different grades in AS, but strangely enough it's going to be expanded to six grades (adding in A*) for A2. I guess you learn something new every day.
  23. Here, have a cookie. Pick up a dictionary next time before you lecture people on the basics of English. If English is so easy to learn, as you claim it is, perhaps you wouldn't make simple spelling mistakes like "subtilities" and "writting." I never went so far as to imply that I was somehow "better" than anyone because my language is hard to learn. This idea is something you made up in your mind. I simply expressed my opinion. You may not agree with it, but that doesn't give you the right to call me arrogant and to tell me to get my head out of my [wagon]. Grow up. English is easy. French, Spanish, ... is a lot harder, trust me (do you speak at least these linguages?)! Glad to see Rs in french, it'll be funny to see wcing called bûcheron or tinderbow called boîte d'allumettes :). Jagex doesn't choose the most spoken linguage in Rs, because they need new players... If they'd do that, they'd choose dutch. Exactly. The demographic Jagex wants to target are potential players who would have started playing the game but don't because it does not support any language they speak. There's no point going for people who will already readily switch to English/German and start playing.
  24. Good idea. Can we also have an individual item price check option, and if possible, the ability to select multiple items and get the total value? I don't want to rearrange my bank just to pc an individual/group of items.
