  1. Although I believe virtual theft is a crime, it doesn't relate to Runescape. It only refers to games in which the virtual items actually have a value and are property of the players (there are some which use this system, but RS isn't one of them). Accounts and Items within Runescape are the property of Jagex, the players merely move them about within Jagex's ownership. They are not goods since they hold no real-life value proposed by Jagex. No, the seller isn't selling any goods. He doesn't HAVE any goods. You can't sell something if you don't have anything, and you can't buy anything if you aren't getting anything and the seller isn't losing anything. That's not an exchange. The owner of the items/accounts has remained the same the entire time. Exchange, Verb: to give up (something) for something else; part with for some equivalent; change for another. You are not giving up anything since you don't own anything. You are not parting with anything since you don't own anything. You aren't changing it to another since you have nothing to start with, you are merely RECEIVING. The other person is not exchanging it for a Runescape object, since he is not receiving anything in return. Exchange is the wrong word to use. By the actual letter of the rule, the rule can not actually be broken as far as Runescape items go, because it is impossible to exchange them. The rule also doesn't mention anything about borrowing anything from Jagex. The rule says, "Game Items must only be exchanged [...]" Game items can not be exchanged, and therefore this rule is moot with the current wording. Yes, but you forgot the other thing you exchange real life money for: Services. The action of moving around Jagex's property is a service which the customer pays for. RWTing is not a buy/sell trade, even though it appears to be, it is a service.
  2. I think we need a bit more info on how this is done in order to decide whether or not this is a bug. If it's how Darksideous says, I don't think it's a bug.
  3. That may be the best suggestion so far. It would be in high demand, take up one slot (satisfy the Author), and would probably end up costing a pretty penny which gives the makers of it (Skillers) a new money source (if it were tradable). Lol, simple and to the point...Bravo Will_Holmes...Bravo =D> Thanks.
  4. I don't think it's much of a problem. Maybe an untradable Teleblock Tablet will fix the inequality regarding inventory space?
  5. That sounds quite good. I might try it. I think I'll try something like that too. In fact, I'm going to make another account, get combat level 20, drop everything my character owns, then from then on only play in PvP worlds. It might turn out to be a very different game. EDIT: It's official, I'm out of semi-retirement! Dark x Will is born! *Thunder Clap* Mwahahaha!
  6. :wall: No, you can attack each other as normal, but you won't lose your items, and you won't drop anything. This is a major problem. The most logical answer is if you received the majority of damage from an NPC, the gravestone rule would apply and you could lose your items. But, it could be possible for someone to attack someone else who is already below half health due to NPCs. I support if this can be fixed.
  7. I got 6, but that was a very poor quality test.
  8. Oh yeah, staking. That. Now that still needs replacing.
  9. I doubt it would make members less apealing. I doubt anything would. I would love to have something that will give me faster EXp so i could reach my melee goals faster, but i accept that i would have to pay for that. F2P is good as it is Why do you doubt it? Dragon is considred "noob" armour by many in P2P. There are still ALOT of more other appealing armour that would make p2p much more atractive than just dragon in f2p But we're not talking about people already in p2p, we're talking about people in f2p who are thinking about becoming p2p. A lot of people in f2p do consider the non-corrupt dragon armour/weapons as very powerful, which is justified if the best you can get is full rune. Just giving it to f2pers just throws away an incentive to become a member, even if the vast majority of p2pers don't actually use it.
  10. I think they've fixed it now, but in my opinion they should have released PvP worlds before or at the same time as getting rid of the wilderness.
  11. I agree, there seems to be a misconception here. If you use the gloves outside the wilderness, you will get a 1.5x multiplier, not 2x! I am pretty sure that black salamanders x4 is much better than x1.5 red chins. I haven't personally used them yet, but I think that you should only wear them when you're taking out the salamander. Wearing them whilst laying traps is a waste. We need a guide.
  12. You make a great point. It's not so much that the value of the items increase the drop, it's that the opponent is going to be harder (and therefore more impressive) to kill because they will dish out more damage etc. So, a RWTer could bring in millions worth of items, but if he/she doesn't resist and utilise those items, the value doesn't get transferred. Wow, Jagex's system is very good. Moral of the story, don't bring expensive items for their value, bring them to deal more damage and PK better. Whatever you do, don't bring more expensive counterparts to items if they aren't better stats-wise, such as trimmed armour.
  13. When we say 'useless' we don't mean literally, we mean that there are no common uses for them, such as the nature rune (high alch) and the blood rune (ice barrage). Shadow spells aren't commonly used, although they are underrated. Have to admit though, this spell is the way to destroy anyone holding a godsword.
  14. I doubt it would make members less apealing. I doubt anything would. I would love to have something that will give me faster EXp so i could reach my melee goals faster, but i accept that i would have to pay for that. F2P is good as it is Why do you doubt it?
  15. It must be a great feeling to come back to a game which has improved so much. Welcome back!
  16. Give the corrupt weapons their specials (but doing so should shave time off some of it's lifespan). I think that's enough. Giving f2p the whole lot is too much effort for something that may make members less appealing.
  17. This is my first and only account, and I severely doubt I'll ever play on a new one. No black marks either.
  18. No objective reason, you're right. People can make up their subjective reasons for hanging around and seeing life as worthwhile. I think it's more empowering and meaningful than it just being the will of god because he said so. When it's personal, it's true to who you are. There is actually a single objective reason for all living organisms to exist, which is reproduction (or continued survival, same thing). Not that it serves any deeper 'purpose' (other than just repeat the cycle infinitely), but that's pretty objective since you don't get to choose. Animals don't get to choose either. They just do it because their nature dictates it to them. Also in humans, anything else besides survival is just extra. Every person has his/her subjective view on what their purpose of life is (a divine being controlling them, raising kids, helping poor people, becoming famous/rich, nursing sick people/animals, punishing wrongdoes, assassinating a politician.. You choose) So you're saying that the purpose of our existence is to maintain our existence. That's too circular. Reproduction has a purpose to keep us existing, but we do not exist to reproduce.
  19. Actually, I think our purpose is to ask these kinds of questions and discover the answers. We seem to be built in a way that absorbs information via our senses, communicates this information with others and connects new ideas with stuff we were told about or found on our own. We mess around with the data, form bundles around different concepts, link them up, throw away any information we know as false, and form massive webs of data. Face it, we're really complex data collecting machines! Only problem I can see is the question 'Why do we need to find out all this information?'
  20. Greece is a wonderful place, I seriously recommend visiting there. I couldn't say which one you should pick from the three though, for me, it would probably be Greece, but then again it's been a long time since I've been to Spain.
  21. Heh, I think you're talking about me. And yes, I did get my wish. This seems to me as a very powerful and yet very expensive species of spells, but I think that they should only reduce ranged speed by 25%.
  22. If Jagex had just instantly replaced the Wilderness, the players would be much happier with them than when they just got rid of the wilderness and tried to replace it with a comparatively weak PvP minigame. But it still wouldn't have been completely smooth.
  23. Nice! I can't wait for the Christmas holidays so I can try them out! And I think that Corporeal Beast hunters got what they deserve. Just running underneath it made it too easy.
  24. We can't really say 'chances are aliens exist' or 'chances are aliens don't exist', because as of yet we have absolutely no idea how rare complex life is. The only way we could know would be to have examples of complex life on other planets, or searching ever nook and cranny of the universe, so it's like a key inside a safe. We just have to wait and see if we stumble on something, be it likely or unlikely.
  25. I noticed that too. It's either the case that whoever made the grave didn't know what the symbol meant, or as a cruel joke against the Saradominists. Either that or Jagex messed up.
