Extreme pots in Pvp
Why not apply a similar rule as we did to Summoning? Your combat level should be boosted in PvP worlds if you have stat-boosting potions in your inventory, to the level you would have recieved if you calculated it from the new levels. Surely there wouldn't be any problem after that. It's really not a bad thing if herblore is treated as a minor combat level.

Upgrade to Vista 32Bit
Why not get a new motherboard? SD/DDR1 RAM is going to be really expensive, it might be cheaper in the long run.

Windows 7 out and ready for action
It's all about your processor, some can only run 32-bit OSs, some can run 32-bit and 64-bit OSs, if you tell us the make and model, we could probably tell you. The differences are that 64-bit OSs can run 64-bit programs as well as 32-bit programs, which generally can perform better and will become increasingly common in a few years time. Also, 32-bit OSs have a limit of about 3.5GB of RAM, whereas 64-bit OSs have a limit many times greater than any existing computer will have for decades to come, allowing you to make your computer better at multi-tasking and running without lag. In a word, it's futureproofing, and we will all have to make the switch eventually. You're probably going to have to do a clean install though, which will involve making a back-up of all of the files you want to keep (on a few USB sticks or an external hard drive), wiping your hard-drive clean (a.k.a. low level formatting), installing windows 7, then moving your back-up files back on to your computer. I'm going to upgrade from the RC to the retail version soon, I really recommend 7 unlike Vista.

Should marijuana remain illegal? Why should it be legal?
To be fair, it's not exactly the best way of dealing with stress. If you need to relieve it that way, then then there's some deeper issues that need to be dealt with. It might just be that marijuana covers up stress or other mental issues to the point that it's not being adressed when they really should be. That's my main problem with it in a nutshell.

New Olympic Medals for 2010 Vancouver games
The medals are fine, they're creatively interesting, yet don't lose their functionality. We have bigger fish to fry, have you seen the London 2012 logo? Now that's awful.

Should marijuana remain illegal? Why should it be legal?
I think you guys know my stance on marijuana. I can see a very real possibility of unforeseen (or foreseen, depending on the situation) consequences relating to mental health, similar to what happened with tobacco but worse. To say that the money the government will gain in taxes will be greater than the healthcare cost increases, may be true, but you're reducing it to money when the mental health of people are possibly at stake. I'm just not willing to take the risk just for the sake of a few people feeling slightly better.

D&D Online switch to the RuneScape Model
No, the vast proportion of f2p players are very happy with the game. The complainers, however, shout the loudest, creating a feeling that most people don't like the game very much. If so, why is the game so successful?

Temple of Light: Sound Beams
I know why the different colours have different pitches. If it's a low frequency light, such as red, the pitch, or sound frequency is also low. High frequency light, such as blue, has a high pitch. The 'white' light is comprised of three different colours, so you hear three different pitches. My guess is that should you focus that sound onto a crystal, it will change colour to the appropriate frequency. That's my guess.

Unjustified censorship!
There are places where people are mostly mature and you can have discussions about sexual orientations, like our off-topic forum, but Runescape isn't one of them. Sorry, it just would cause havoc.

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
I hope that this is not going to be the end of the matter. If it means potting up increases your combat level to reflect your increased stats, then that's fine. It's not a bad thing to make Herblore a minor combat skill, because so much high level combat involves potions anyway. If we see some untradable high level food (which I assume will boost HP above base level), then further changes need to be made to the combat level system involving cooking, and so on. We can't keep combat levels going by the same system all the time if the characters they are measuring are changing so much. All processing skills (at least) should benefit combat, we are going in the wrong direction if we start excluding features from one part of the game and not the other. Maybe it would make more sense if more skills recieved similar updates? A balanced PKer with high so called non-combat skills deserves to have an advantage over another PKer with equal combat skills but very little non-combat skills.

Dragon KiteShield vs DFS - Do we need it at all?
I vote making it proportional to the standard kiteshields i.e. weaker than the DFS, but give an awesome aggressive set effect if you wear the lot. That way higher leveled players can sacrifice defence and cost for... I dont' know. It's gonna have to be something incredible.

FoG Hiders
Certainly, but the game wouldn't take so long for the same number of tokens if you stay closer to the centre. It's reasonable to hide less if you have better defence, but you have to remember the stat drain. You just have to choose wisely.

how does runescape help you in life?
I don't know about you, but for me enjoying life is far more important than high-end jobs, should I have to choose between the two. After all, the latter is only supposed to achieve the former, and often fails to do so. I've learnt to type fairly fast due to Runescape, and basic economics, but that's it. It's not supposed to be an educational game (an oxymoron if I ever saw one), it's supposed to be a fun game.

Summoning. . . Now what?
We might see new familiars, but it would be far wiser for Jagex to give them disadvantages as well as advantages compared to familiars of a similar level, like slower attack speed but more accuracy, or super fast fishing but you take damage constantly. The potential for ideas is nearly as big as Magic.

Myreque part 5, coming soon?
this would be nice but we already have an altar. but then again a soul altar would make very much sense there. Soul altar is not in the Myreque quest line. It's probably in the Glouphrie series--it could plausibly be the power source the Arposandrans are using to warp the Anima Mundi. (Which is Latin for "soul of the world" if you didn't already know.) Either that or Elemental Workshop. Part 2 is mind, part 3 is body, maybe there's a part 4 that's soul. But we digress. The Chaos Elemental hint from a few months ago included the phrase "New Myreque Quest" verbatim. So it would appear that it's been in the works for a long time already. If we're lucky, it might show up by the end of the year, but if the developer in charge of it got put on something else, then it's more likely that we'll have a substantial wait. But I've got my fingers crossed--the story there is starting to get pretty good. I agree, it had to be in the Glouphrie series, it's got more references to souls than any other, and generally altars crop up where there are numourous references to its aspect. Vampyres aren't really about souls, they're about blood and power. I love the Myreque series more than any other storyline I've come across, so I'm really excited. I hope they don't make the flail even more complicated though!

The Current Poll and the pking IS rs Myth
Or merely put in a program with an update that records time spent in PKing worlds or time spent in intensive levelling. It's more work, but they'll get meaningful and reliable results. Forcing people to vote could only encourage people to vote without thinking, as they're just not interested in doing that kind of thing. Although, the results seem about right to me. Non-combat skills take up far more time than combat skills, just by sheer volume rather than popularity.

bug on rsof with skype
Oh, that's the Skype extension. It's just seeing it as a phone number. Unfortunately, I don't think you can selectively deactivate it on certain webpages, so you'll have to live with it, or remove it.
