  1. Honestly, this isn't what's wrong with the clues. I'm all for the addition of new challenges, and this might be a really good candidate, but what we need to sort out is the rewards. I'd do a really frustrating and complicated clue as long as I know that I'll be rewarded at least reasonably. A rune dagger, a magic longbow and a few runes just doesn't match the effort. If dealing with the gnomish robes and stuff is so annoying, how about a construction room called the 'Gallery', an extension of the Costume Room, that stores/displays all of this stuff?
  2. There's also the law of diminishing returns. Back in the day where there was about 30 worlds, adding 5 pretty much solved overcrowding completely, at least for a while. Adding another 5 now is equally expensive, but it won't change the overcrowding situation much.
  3. I wouldn't be offended at all if some guy drew a cartoon which suggested that Christians are violent crazy people, or even depicted Jesus as violent. It's probably already been done, but apart from the few actually crazy violent Christians out there, the rest tolerate, accept, and teach when appropriate. I just think that Islam needs to develop to teach more Muslims in general to be much more tolerant. Threatening violence in this manner does not allow you to enjoy the benefits of religion, and only proves this guys point. No, he should not apologise, and I'm nearly glad someone had the nuts to do it. Letting religions censor anyone outside that religion is unethical.
  4. It's sounds like a really good candidate, but I think randomly generated dungeons, as a concept, has been done in other games. I still think this idea is missing something important. It would be really great if it was team-focused though, no skill so far has been genuinely team focused.

I think that having one or two children isn't selfish, it's perfectly natural, but intentionally having significantly more is. It's important to keep the next generation going, but also to reduce the rate at which couples are exceeding the numbers to replace them (i.e. three or more). As far as I am aware, this is already happening, and if this works, the population will level off, the best case scenario. Also, we're getting closer to colonising a planet, so eventually overpopulation shouldn't be a problem. I'm also fairly positive about living conditions, and currently, it's worth bringing a child into the world. Give it a few decades, and that might be different, but right now it's good.
  6. I personally think we should just leave marriage, as it had been defined in the past, as the civil union between a man and a woman. Call the civil union between two men or two women something else and make it equivalent. I believe the term 'Civil Partnership' has worked quite well. Religion has nothing to do with what makes any civil union between two people what it really is, it's merely added optional ornaments to the point that people think that it's relevant. A church can choose not to engage with Civil Partnerships, but there are ways to establish a civil union without the interference of a church. It's simply a matter of definitions, and definitions are arbitrary.
  7. It's a bit of a challenge, but the price is definitely lower if you do it yourself, and there's the sheer satisfaction of having a PC that you built yourself. Of course, you also get a lot more choice when it comes to specifications. I'd look into it just for the sake of learning and enjoyment, even if you don't build any more PCs later on.
  8. Ugh. How do I check that? #-o Anyway, it's fixed itself. For now. I think it's Control Panel -> System. If it's fixed itself, it doesn't really matter now, just let us know if it happens again. :)
  9. It sounds legitimate, but consider yourself lucky that you were notified, normally they fail without warning for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, Hard Drives are almost always irreparable because the action of opening it to fix anything will destroy the disks inside, and have to be replaced. Consider this an opportunity to get a bigger and better one.
  10. I think that wishfull thinking on mmg part. the game is fast aprothing the point where there is no more space for improvements and updates (like the 99 level cap.) there is only so much stuff u can cram into a skill with a 99 level cap. and bring out a new skill every year or two will not realy help keep the game going for 10, 20 or 50 years. I hat to say it but thy need to start redesign runescape to go beyond level 99 and inprove combat as well, make runscape 3 and let it be as good as runscape was over classic. We are far away from the point where the 99 cap will become an issue. Many skills, such as Mining, and Firemaking are quite empty, and new skills are coming out at a faster rate than skills are filling up. I expect we will see a combat system overhaul, partly because of the damage inflation, but also because it isn't varied enough. The end is far from nigh. It can't even be seen at the end of any proverbial tunnels yet. I can't wait until DirectX rendering is added, but it's going to be an option as always and won't give an ingame advantage. It simply won't be in the interest of Jagex or the game if it was otherwise.
  11. Nothing is seriously wrong here, but it won't hurt to try reinstalling java. What processor are you using?
  12. I'm with the other people here in saying that Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Firewall, an ad blocker such as Adblock for Firefox or Chrome*, and some common sense when browsing will cover all of your bases to a reasonable degree, with no cost involved. The most important one of those is the latter. Don't click anything that you don't trust, keep an eye out for scams, and only use torrent programs with extreme caution (only on a computer where you don't mind formatting, reloading and backing up). *At the time of posting, I believe that the Chrome version is only available if you use the Beta Channel version of the browser, which is perfectly safe and stable.
  13. That doesn't answer any questions I asked? But if you must know, I simply just don't care enough to attempt to contact them over a few bucks. British companies, as a matter of common courtesy, practically always include tax to their advertised prices in order to prevent things like this from happening. Who exactly told you that you only received two months of membership because of tax? If it's anyone but Jagex, it sounds like you've been scammed out of that extra month.

HARSH non physical punishment? Like this? You are such a terrible person! You should feel so bad about yourself! Why would you do something like that! You are such a meany! .... Or you could beat them until they are wallowing in their tears and feces(though that is kinda extreme) and they would acctually regret it. See, this is why I love this forum. "These people killed someone." "DESTROY THEM UTTERLY!" It's a pretty common theme around here. And Will_Holmes, you would think so, wouldn't you? But that's what popularity does, people don't care that you're a jerk. If you're established up there, or have money, everyone loves you. It just amazes me how crap it is to live with 'popular' people sometimes, whose only redeeming quality is that other people are submissive to them. You're either 'unpopular', and get treated like crap by 'popular' people, or you're 'popular' and can't live life how you want. Makes me appreciate how much male cattle excrement society puts it's kids in.
  15. That doesn't look like any piece of lego I've seen. It reminds me of those little green plastic soldiers I had with a kid, but anyway, I'm not sure there isn't more to this story than it lets on.
  16. Does it really matter? Shock horror, it's a concise dictionary, it's going to contain these things. Anyway, in this day and age of information flow, the vast majority of kids find out about these things far before parents or school formally 'introduce' them. It would be best to not ban it, but if it's a problem and someone's going to get irrational and overprotective, remove it from the shelf and move on.
  17. You obviously haven't read it well enough. The ring of wealth sacrifices most of the 'no drop' possibilities on the 'rare table' only. It cannot possibly decrease the average value of your drops in any situation. However, I agree with you that nothing on the 'rare table' is anything to get particularly excited about, it's the specialised drops that really rake in the cash, and is still nearly useless if you have anything else handy. It seems a bit weird why they haven't bothered to improve the rare drop table for such a long time. Still, I'm glad that I chucked my ring of wealth a long time ago.

Sadly, this kind of thing happens a lot, all over the world. When you put a lot of people in a relatively small place for a long time, an isolated social structure emerges. When those people happen to be children, the social structure will rely on the primal instincts of the most aggressive and dominant. It's like gravity, if you let go of a ball at the top of a hill, it takes a lot of effort to stop it rolling towards the bottom. In this case, we have a situation where each person is trying to keep 25 balls from rolling down the hill at the same time. This is inevitable unless we have more people supporting children in school, especially helping those who are juggling far too many children. On the other hand, surely these 'girls' will no longer be acceptable in the eyes of the other kids? I'd expect people to gang up on them and fight them for what they did. Not that I condone violence, it's just that it's what I'd expect to happen.
  19. I like the coloured whips. I painted mine blue to match my Rune Defender. I'm still waiting for some customisable weapons and armour, with advantages in some situations and disadvantages in others, but for now I'm happy with making my most used weapon a little bit different.

I had fairly bad acne on my chin and those lines where my nose meets the rest of my face, while was about 14-15. I went over to Canada for a month and it completely went, and never really came back, bar the odd one which I get sometimes. I don't think it needs to be a certain climate or anything, you just have to live in a climate you're not used to for a while and they just go away.
  21. I like the idea, how about making it possible to put the spell in a tradable tablet? That way lunar mages can use it to make a bit of a profit, and it's not restricted from those using the ancient or normal spellbook, or those with low levels.
  22. Again, I should ask, what is going to break? I never said 'break', document formats would become incompatible with other computers, drivers and programs may no longer work due to an update, and so on. It'll be gradual and downhill. Not to mention that new computer hardware will almost certainly outlive the operating system. Rolling back on updates will cause the security of the computer to suffer. I just wouldn't recommend getting XP on a new computer on its own at this point in time.
  23. I still believe that Dervish is asking for a lot of problems in the future if s/he does not start making the transition to Vista or 7, preferably the latter. XP has about four more years of operating system support, but it sounds like the support for these programs and devices have already stopped. I wouldn't be happy to be in a position where components of my system are liable to stop working at any point, it's far from the 'stability' Dervish wants.
  24. I suggest ditching both and getting Microsoft Security Essentials. It's been flawless on my machine and it's been generally unobtrusive.
  25. Why would you do that? Windows 7 x64 will run x32 programs just as well as any x32 bit operating system, and will be more stable compared to XP. If you're having compatibility issues with Windows 7 itself, I'd think about replacing your programs and devices instead, because it won't be long before they won't work at all. But, to answer your question, yes, and I would suggest going for a dual boot system, so you can choose each time you start up whether you want to run Windows 7 or XP.
