  1. There's no point in doing that, we already have talismans that you can wield.
  2. We already have the underlined sentence. If you do not click anything or enter text for 5 minutes, you are logged out regardless of combat. However, if you are in combat, you remain in combat, but you are still logged out. It's a bit complex, but the bottom line is that you are logged out after 5 minutes of inactivity. ^ This. I can see where you are getting at but as zaaps said don't we already have this? I'm confused. Why is training at bandits popular if we already have it? Why is training anything popular? Because it's good xp. It's not GREAT xp, but it's decent, and all it needs it 5 seconds of attention every 5 minutes. Ah right. I was always under the impression that people trained there because you could leave it pretty much overnight or something.
  3. I sleep on a soft pillow on top of a semi-hard one. I don't understand how someone can sleep with three decently sized pillows.

  5. I'm a massive fan of Chrome, but recently I've been having problems loading some pages in forum.tip.it (which actually crashes every chrome[Caution: Executable File] process) and a few other pages, so I'm using a stripped down version of Firefox for now. I reckon it's Google's problem, I doubt it's a problem at your end. Maybe downloading an earlier version might work. But, as soon as Chrome is properly complete, tested, stable and there's an addon system in place, it will be superior to Firefox. The ability to rip tabs out of one window and slotting it into another using drag and drop is really great if you've got some decent desktop space. It's also far faster and more efficient than any other browser I've come across. And the Omnibar is great as well.
  6. I guess they're confident enough to pretty much say that they have a 0% rate of false positives. That's a pretty huge claim right there, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if they can back it up. It also surprises me that they're IP address matching and extending the ban to those accounts. Combine that with the lack of appeal, and it suddenly becomes fairly easy for someone to get someone else's account permanently banned by macroing on the same computer and IP. Erk. :ohnoes:
  7. I don't know, I would have thought that the Dragon Sword would be very appropriate here, otherwise it's doomed as soon as it's released.
  8. Ah, great idea, hopefully we'll see the day that Chompy Hunting finally has a use.
  9. It could be said that the dragon sword is of the exact proportions which makes it magically stable and capable of holding enchantments. Not hard to make a back story here. I like these ideas, but some are too powerful and others not powerful enough. I think all of the versions of the sword should at least be useful in some situations. For example, the Sword of Focus is useless, I suggest giving it a +30% xp gain bonus for accurate styles.
  10. You should retract that statement pretty quickly. We do not appreciate it when you insult others for no reason. Believe it or not, people want to PK for real, for once. Why don't you imagine their situation and consider what you would do. Your target approaches you and tells you that if you both agree to die at the same time, you will both get loot? He tells you that there's a way of doing it without dying, and urges you to do it. Sorry, but that sounds like a dirty trick than anything else, there could be loopholes this guy isn't telling you about which lets him kill you and not die himself. So, you try to kill him without dying in the normal way and think 'oh well, he probably wasn't worth it' if you don't make the kill, and move on. A stupid person would actually go ahead with it.
  11. I just wish that we could define the rules of marriage (and what it's purpose is, exactly) universally and be done with it, since it's a social construct in the end. If two men or women can be married, why isn't it allowed to have three or more people in a marriage of any combination of genders? Can animals be married? Can inanimate objects be married to people or animals? Heck, can inanimate objects be married to other inanimate objects? At first glance they're increasingly silly questions, but the fact is unwritten/vague rules don't work in a world where common sense doesn't work in the legal system. Let's just have a system that says what the terms and conditions are and be done with it. I personally don't care whether gay marriage is allowed, just that we stop squabbling over something we invented ourselves.
  12. Sigh, haven't they learned anything from the last time they tried this? Swiftkit is fine, they should not generalise 3rd party software.
  13. That's because people want to talk about something happy in their lives. Why would we want to completely immerse ourselves in information (or lack therof) which depresses us? I realise that we should really talk about things that affect ourselves, but the fact is that everyone's human and doesn't want to be chronically depressed.
  14. I don't believe so, normally it's certain breeds that are less likely to cause allergies than others, something to do with saliva or something (or is that just cats?). Anyway, I'd investigate the reason why you didn't react to other dogs/cats. You might have grown out of the allergy.
  15. Yeah, I had this problem on my old motherboard, it's almost so expensive you might want to consider buying a new motherboard first if you're thinking of upgrading it over time, it'll be cheaper in the long run.

I've now done all of my exams apart from Maths: Stats, which is ages away, so I'm happy. Both Philosophies were surprisingly good, both Physics were OK-ish, Maths Core 1 was good, Maths Core 2 was atrocious, and both Chemistries were awesome. Bit of a mixed bag.

Lie in my bed and listen to music, or go on the computer, then face the music (if I can) once I've calmed down.
  18. Jagex is very new to the whole clan game, so they really need to learn from players what clans are all about and what they want. Once they do that, and the clans themselves give the go-ahead (there should be no surprise updates in this field), then Jagex should really get their programming teeth into clans. It's true that there are loads of already existing content that could easily be converted for the use of clans, but the worst thing Jagex could do is think they know best.

Some good choices there. :)
  20. From that error, looks like it's physically damaged, there's virtually no chance of fixing it and it wouldn't surprise me if the odd file you get out of it is corrupted. As said before, booting from a CD might give you access to the files, but nothing is really guaranteed with these things when they die. I'm guessing by the fact that your dad backed up his documents means he considered which files he really wanted to protect so probably most of the really important stuff is already saved on USB drives. Everything has an end, but hopefully most of your files haven't met theirs yet.
  21. They actually did have that before the ditch... A large message (taking up most of the screen) popped up, warning you about the wildy, and you don't continue walking even if you're following someone. I think that they should just make the ditch look like it was filled in - that way, no need to click it, but no fear of accidentally entering wildy territory while crafting mind runes (a friend of mine nearly got PK'ed before the ditch, because the warning didn't come up (it used to be a one-time deal, warning you the first time you got near it)). You would know where the wildy is, but if you want to enter it, just walk past it - no clicking required, it would be just purely a decoration. So maybe they could turn the ditch into a "Wilderness Line"? :? I'd like that, it just makes sense.

I recommend the Acer one, they're pretty good and reliable.
  23. I once had a Packard Bell PC which ran Windows 95, that was pretty bad. So, my favourite is the one I have now, a custom build which I did myself, and I just change the parts individually over time. Unless I feel the need to get a laptop at some point, I'll probably never have a standard pre-built computer again. Anyway, it's a much better experience if you can customise the computer to the exact specifications that you want, and it gives a nice personal touch.
  24. Censorship is a bad idea, you should be allowed to see what you want to see if it's victimless. It's true that steps need to be taken to protect children, but that's the parent's/guardian's job. In fact, it would be ok if, say, free tweakable internet filter programs were handed out to parents/guardians of young children with a password lock, by the government, but everything should be optional.
  25. He's not the first that suggested clan chat list, but he went in details (In only 2 lines, that's pro) and did a nice little picture. Another brillant idea, keep 'em coming! True. I'm not discrediting him, it's just that I recognised it from somewhere.
