Musicians - Why do they keep playing?
Not really, as far as I know the NPC movement algorithm is executed on Jagex's servers, not the user's computer. The user only gets the results of that algorithm i.e. the NPC's position and which direction it is facing. Since this would not change at the user's end, there is no increase in lag whatsoever.

Weather?
I think I've pointed this out to you before, I hope I don't have to again. A good game must look good and have good content. You can't just have one or the other. Was releasing RSHD a waste of time? No. It transformed the entire game into something much better. The idea of Runescape having a weather system (and therefore it needs a time system) is great, but it might be a bit too big for the engine we have right now. It has to be done well to work, not just retro-looking generic snow patterns on the screen (which currently look awful). Obviously it's up to Jagex to decide, but they can take their own time, much like RSHD.

American Independence Day!
No. Yes. We could do this for quite a while.

Paradoxes
I suppose the many worlds theory fixes this. Imagine that every single possible timeline is manifested as a world, which I suppose would be an infinite number. To simplify, imagine two such worlds, one where a war happened in the past with no influences, and one where a passing time traveller stopped the war from happening. Okay, so the time traveller, being in the first world, knowing that the war happened, jumps in his time machine. The machine arrives with no problem, but as soon as the war is prevented, the traveller has created a new world, and follows the new timeline. The traveller could now move forward in time to a future where the war never happened, and may possibly meet an alternate version of himself if that is part of the new timeline, with no paradoxes. The war happened, and it didn't happen, depending on your frame of reference. Three cheers for special relativity.

Goldfarming Banned in China
But this is a massive step against global RWTing. The important thing here is that the government of a country who hosts a vast proportion of RWTing businesses has stated that it's wrong. They can't do anything until this happens, so now it's possible to make serious moves against the trade that weren't possible before. I don't care if these people lose their jobs either. It's like a drug dealer complaining that he will lose money because the government raided a marijuana farm.

Musicians - Why do they keep playing?
Any I have seen have had "music appreciators" with them at all times, anyway. The best way would do it area by area, because a single code won't work for all NPCs of the same type (so we would have to lose the generic Man (Level 2) model). Start small, say, the farmers in southern Misthalin. Then move to the residents of Lumbridge, or Rimmington, then the Dwarven Mine. Eventually, we can move on to bigger places like Al Kharid. It's pretty much like the area graphical updates we've seen in the past, apart from it's all about NPCs only. It's been done before, so we know that it can be a side-project and won't consume too much manpower when it's needed. Thing is, we basically want to reduce the overused algorithm of pseudo-random movement within a set area, and make more purposeful movement. We've seen basic examples of this in Keldagrim, where a dwarf goes back and forth from his house to the market, with a selection of short (pun intended) dialogues at each end, and a drunken dwarf staggering in a circle around a pub, so I'm sure it's not past TB@JT to introduce something along the same lines.

Musicians - Why do they keep playing?
It's all about having a bit of both content updates and aesthetic updates. Too much of the former makes the game feel unpolished, and too much of the latter results in the game not having enough content. Having both makes a great game. This is just one of those possible aesthetic updates, it won't mean we'll ignore content.

Average Runescapians IQ: 60
Look, I think the debate's over now, although it was a good one. This is not about IQ, it was merely a very poor argumentative device (i.e. insult) that we shouldn't take seriously.

One Small Favour as a level 3.
I am impressed. It takes dedication to pull that off without levelling. =D>

Musicians - Why do they keep playing?
Actually, this is part of a much wider potential update. I wish NPCs actually acted more like they were real people than robots that never tire or get bored. They should live in houses (maybe pop into a house portal?), travel along the pathways, have shifts, stuff like that. Although, if they're gonna have shifts, we have to invent time and days first.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
Yes, otherwise there would be memory issues. I don't know whether I like the scrolls or not, it might be good just to demonstrate that the item doesn't actually exist, and make scrolling better, but it's probably not needed. Oh, can I suggest giving the screen a much bigger window if the game is in HD?

Mutated or mutant Vampire
That's the third outcome from giving the potion, but luckily they're far easier to deal with than the original juvinate because they lose their non-silver immunity. Obviously killing them outright or curing them are the better outcomes, but you know how Guthix is. Just think of them as an NPC in normal conditions, and suddenly they're not as troublesome as they would originally have you believe. It's still worth using the whole flail/rod special balance force-feeding ritual thingy instead of making them flee.

Add Rubium to mining guide
yes u can be used to make Super fishing explosive potions (31 Herblore). Made from Guam and Rubium. Gives 55 Herblore xp. Use on 'ominous fishing spot' at mudskipper point to both lure the Mogres and hit a 15 on them while you do. Cool, I never knew that. That could have been a good 'did you know?' in the Times. Yeah, they should add that one to the guide.

18th June 2009 - Membership cards in 7-Eleven
Good, I guess. Doesn't apply to me, since I live the the UK, but good. I suppose it's only a matter of time for membership cards to appear in Canadian 7-elevens too. Ah, the memories of the slurpee-induced sugar rush.

-----Hellhounds Now F2P-----
Hellhounds aren't the most fantastic of monsters to kill, it's hardly an unbalancing thing to do. Let F2P have their hellpups, and move on. It's about time that F2P got a new high levelled monster to kill, even if they are so spread out in the crater.

Mysterious Skeleton in Wilderness Volcano?
The Dragonkin have claws at the end of the winged arms, this skeleton does not. Also, the body structure doesn't quite match. The neck on the skeleton is too short, and the forearms should be longer. The skull doesn't match well either, it's too humanish, I think we'd know if we were looking at a dragonkin skull. I suggest this creature is...was more bird-like than dragon-like, but as to what it actually was, I dunno.

[How to convince someone to get a new internet browser]
If you can get a laptop with wifi, that's great. In the future it won't be the browser, it'll be a different program, or maybe the OS itself that you want to change. W2K is really getting on a bit, a lot of things are withdrawing support for it.

Tech facts or myth?
I've tried to answer all but one question (the one about the dual/single core processor comparison). Hope this helps.

Swine Flu (H1N1 Strain) Reaches Level 6 - Official Pandemic
As Trapical said, Swine Flu will really hit later in the year, just because it's Level 6 doesn't mean it's suddenly mutated into some super-deadly-assassin flu...yet. Whether it will mean school closures during the flu season is up to chance, and for all we know, there's a significant chance it won't be any worse than regular flu. On the other hand, we might all be making zombie noises by 2010.

Millions of Iranians erupt into riot- UPDATE: Its spreading
I don't think the riots will last long, let alone bring about any change in power. There's always difficulties with democracy when a dictator is in power, because suddenly they can corrupt it from the top-down. I seriously don't trust this guy, I've seen a large portion of his 'victory' speech, and he sounds dangerous. Keep at one eye on Iran, and the other on N. Korea over the next 5 years.

Two different types of Cape of Accomplishment
No, sorry. The cape is about having a 99, not about how you got it. How about suggesting how to deal with experience inflation rather than just exclude people who started the game recently? This suggestion just doesn't fix the problem.

Problems with Rs in Chrome
Firefox 3.5 Beta 4 has the ability to do that. ...and so does opera. Alright, alright. It's still a very fast browser.

[How to convince someone to get a new internet browser]
Instead of bashing IE6/7, even if it does deserve it, try choosing one you want (I suggest Google Chrome) and then explain the benefits. Simply put, you want the computer's browser to run faster and be more intuitive. I'm not sure how you can argue against that. If your fed up with restricted accounts, I would be, why don't you try getting your own computer? Maybe a laptop with XP?

Do any of you crack your fingers?
Sometimes I crack my fingers by making the muscles in my hand really tense then opening and closing my fingers in a wave pattern. I crack my neck too. Really shouldn't.
